"What....what is going on here??"

Marcus Hall and Emily turned their back to see who it was to see who interrupted their simulation and it was Emily who grasped when she saw her husband standing there with his eyes widened and mouth hung open.

He..he was always opposed to working with the mad scientist but she let him in saying how this system was the best invention of the mankind.

After lots of persuasion he gave in. The project would go on for decades and both moved in the lab like others.

Getting in was not tough even when they joined late because Emily Green was Doctor's student and he liked her a lot.

She was an ambitious driven woman, unlike others and would not step down unless she had what she stuck her mind at.

So when news of her joining hit his ears, he gave in with a big yes and of course everyone knew Evans , not just because of his birth mother Elony who changed the course of physics with her ray discovery.

In fact, Evans was a great theorist and young generation growing scientist. So they started working together only with letting Marcus know that he could never reveal to Evans's about the simulation procedure that would land a more than dozen children brain dead.

Emily knew how much he went by the principles of ethics and humanity. So he would step down the moment he would get to know about it.

This would lead him taking her away too and she did not want that. She did not want to leave him either. She liked him too if not love him.

"Evans...I...I can explain...listen.."

Emily was quick to speak up, leaving her position and immediately it gave negative reaction to the simulation causing shaking.

"Emily..you can't leave now. We are in the middle of the simulation."

Marcus said as he tried to get Emily's attention back but she was too much absorbed in the moment and did not listen to what the doctor had to say.

"Evans...listen to me...wait..wait..don't you run away from me..."

Emily moved along too when Evans did not say a thing and turned his back on her ready to head out of this place.

His wife had made a fool out of him by making him work where he never wanted to.

"Remember the time you and Evans would stand right there, in the same spot where you are standing now, and then perform the ray practical."

Emily's eyes flipped up from the view to look at Marcus who was in the same position as before.

She could not think of why Marcus at that point was bringing up things about her ex-husband whom she did not like to remember.

It was just too much for her. Evans...he was different...very different from her as she could think of him now.

He was not power-hungry or ambitious like her. She was way over ambitious than him and which was one if the many reason for why they did not work out or could not work out.

"Why bring up Evans now??"

She asked, running her fingers over the coffee mug as her eyes first stare down at the floor before flipping up to see the doctor, who was giving her a look that she did not understand.

"Wait...are you inferring that it could be him?? Do you seriously think it could be him??"

Emily questioned after a long pause when the doctor did not answer the question she asked him before. She just could not get it why would he think of Evans as the one trying to get away with the lenses when he himself left everything behind.

"I m not really saying anything at this point. He left so suddenly...."

"He left right after he found that the game simulation was another part of the project where we still control the minds of lots of kids to analyze our research activity.."

Emily interrupted him. It was true. It was why he left. He thought that the vision system project was different.

Although he was opposed to working under Hall from day one for knowingly his endless record of miss doing but then for the betterment of the world, he agreed to join.

What she hid from him was that Marcus and she were still conducting the use of the simulations to get into the minds of the kids and children and use it to analyze their projects.

The vision system did not only make use of the rays or just waves, it also made use of the the neurons and how they behaved inside the brain of the people to get themselves established and well connected with the human body.

Once he got to know that, he wanted him and get to leave the project. She rejected it. She asked him that it was necessary but he would not just listen and that not only ended with him leaving his job as a scientist but also leaving her, ending their marriage when they only got married a few months before the project started.

"I do not know it, Emily but he knew things. Selena even knows too what we did to get that kind of system creation possible."

Marcus said. It was true, the world did not know how the system costed the humanity too.

Emily could remember the time when he saw what the doctor and she was doing inside the secret chambers of the lab where nobody was allowed in.

She sighed as she got reminded of that eventful day. They had lost fifteen kids to brain dead right after. That was the biggest number.

She had not heard from him ever since. She could only wonder where he was. She decided to find him...get to him...

Look out for him and find out how he was doing. It had been so long...so long since she had heard from him or worst saw him.

In the bright sunny day, Cole continued with his practice as he tried the new aligning the ray and waves together trying to create a rope out of it.

He did not know much about this new technique as he was still learning about it.

Meanwhile the robot could just not stop nagging him about how it was necessary for him to learn and practice the flying session too.

He kept denying that now was not the time as he kept doing what he had been doing for a hour time now.

He had plans of looking for Vinny after his practice. It had been quite a long time since they both hung out or even played games.

Speaking of playing games, Cole forbid all of them not to knowing it could be a simulation.

'You are so dramatic, boy. When danger will strike and it will be the time to fly, even when you would not want it, the auto system will fly you away right away and you would have no control over it. Then what?? What are you going to do then?? Haha haha.'

The robot explained as its machinery sound started laughing. Cole had to enclose his ears to protect his eardrums from that irritating noise.

How many times he had asked this stupid robot not to laugh but it just would not listen to him anytime. By now he did not know if it even considered him his master or not...

"We will see about that when the time will come. Right now I want to really master the use of rays and waves. This is what the entire system is about and made of right??"

Cole said as he continued the use of striking rays and waves together. He kept the mode out of the visible range of the people's eyes, thus nobody could watch what he was doing.

'Well do whatever you want. The state is already after you. The entire world. Not to forget the space civilization too wants to see what the humanity has created for its protection and safety. So in a way, everyone out there is after you.'

The robot declared and Cole stopped working altogether. He knew about it. Not like he did not know. It was just how strange and uneasy to know everyone inside the planet and outside the planet, everyone was after him.

It gave him creeps, chills, not a good feeling. Just then a flame object passed right through him taking him by shock as he turned to look back at what was that.

The people started running from the park as they also got to see a large flame covered object was flying up in the sky and was about to fall anytime now.

'Damn! NASA again calculated the numbers wrong. This asteroid is big enough to burn down the entire city.'

"What?? What are you saying??"

'Cole fly up and kick this rock out. The only way to protect your hometown.'
