Surrogate Love

Upon hearing her grievances, he was speechless. 'What makes her think so ? Couldn't she feel the sincerity ?'

He couldn't think logically like what he usually did. He had forgotten that the more love that he showed previously would cause a big doubt because Tang Wei assumed his love was for Yu Zhen. He had forgotten that because of his fear to discuss the problem he inflicted, he had made Tang Wei sure that she was only a surrogate.

He bent down so that they could be on the same level "Wei wei, it has been four years. I've guarded you for four years and all this time, the only one that I love is you."

Tang Wei was speechless. Her tears was still flowing. She tried to talk, but she couldn't say anything. Looking at her difficulties in talking, Han Zhi Fan hugged her, patting her back "Tell me, what is on your mind. We have to solve this issue."

"Jiao jiao.. you have been calling me with that name."

"Jiao Jiao? isn't it an endearment nickname?", he looked at her confusedly before he continued "My father calls my mom so"

"but.."

"Tell me"

"You called her so as well"

He knocked at her forehead with his curled fonger lightly "Your mom called her so, thus all of us called her so."

"How about the wardrobe ? It was exactly like her favourite"

Han Zhi Fan sat on the bedside, holding her hands "I can't deny that guarding you at first was because I felt guilty towards her death, thus I had someone checked your background. Once, I got ahold of your cheerful self in a picture." He took out her phone and showed her the photo "You looked so cheerful and innocent, carefree and gentle. But, four years ago, the Tang Wei that I knew was too different. You were cool and distant. Thus, I feel to protect you so that you can be yourself."

"I hope that in the future, if you have any doubts, you can tell me."

"Though I understand you, but if you hide yourself then I won't be able to understand you no matter what."

"I'm sorry that I didn't explain it earlier. I'm sorry that I hid the fact. However, when I say that I love you and only you, that is the truth."

"Then,darling.. tell me why you don't want the baby. I know that you have your own reason."

Tang Wei was silent for a long time, but Han Zhi Fan didn't urger her. He gave her all the time that she needed.

"I have consumed sleeping pills."
