Sweet CEO's First Love

Chapter 16 - Jerry

Heart shivered under Saint's delectable touch, the way his fingers slid across the thin white material of his undershirt made him suck in a breath of anticipation.

Saint finished measuring his chest and let go of the tape measure.

'Did you even check to see what the numbers were before you let go?'

"Aren't you going to get the measurement?" Heart asked, his voice sounding airy and strangled.

"I already did, but I can take it again if you like."

Saint intoned slowly.

Heart shivered from the way the words purred and hummed.

'Heart stop thinking like this.'

'Why has your mind just fallen in the gutter lately?'

'I swear it's like you are not even trying to resist him anymore.'

'You said you were not ready to confess that you wanted to keep these words in your heart.'

'But could you tone down the thirst level a little bit?'

"That's okay, you can just keep going. I mean keep measuring."

"Do you need a second to write down the numbers over there?"

"No," he answered

"I will just write them when I have gotten all of them at once."

"You are going to just remember them all? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am sure, I am very good with numbers." He stated smoothly without missing a beat.

"Of course, these are numbers I could never forget." He teased.

Heart felt his heart expand in his chest and tried not to reveal how adorable he thought that statement really had been.

Saint seemed to notice he wasn't going to play anymore and moved on.

"Here step on this."

"Hmm?" Heart listened and Saint put the edge of the tape under his foot then stood straight up. The tape's length cut across Hearts vision and he smiled.

"I am one hundred and fifty-six centimeters."

"Yes, you are."

"I could have just told you that." Heart smiled.

"I already knew."

"Then why did you measure my height?" Heart asked curious.

Saint leaned in as if he were going to whisper the answer. Heart waited expectantly, excited to hear what could possibly be going on inside this enigma's head.

And he felt the gentle touch of Saint's lips on his cheek abruptly.

Saint stood back up from the peck and winked mischievously at him.

"What was that for?"

"For being such a cooperative cutie pie, and for letting me have your body for the day."

"Oooi, can you not say things like that, what if someone were to overhear us? They would get the wrong idea Saint."

Saint laughed a happy bubble like sound Heart had never heard before, a full head back, enjoying themselves in this moment kinda laugh.

Heart blinked astonished.

He liked it a lot.

Saint sounded so pure.

'The little demon lord.' Heart sneered.

'Everything about you is an open deceitful book.'

"Sounds like they are reading the right book. Besides, there is no one else here, and Jerry knows my preferences since a long time ago." Saint said playfully.

Heart rolled his eyes.

"Preferences, young man, I gave you that suave, you wouldn't know half the moves you do if it were not for your old uncle Jerry." Jerry said, walking into the room with a tray of coffee.

"Drink these, Amonrat imported the beans from France. I'll give you a hint about the flavor, the exact dang same as the beans he sent me last year from Mexico."

"Jerry your taste buds are not functioning then. You broke old man."

"Oii, they function just fine, it's your grandfather that's broken. The dang animal thinks it's funny and is sending me exact same beans every year just in a different bag label."

"Why would he do that?" Heart asked.

Jerry chuckled.

"I stole something of his years ago. In return, he is attempting to kill my taste buds. But he failed. I've grown to like this sludge."

"Wait, you mean you have been drinking the same coffee roast for years, despite thinking it's bad."

"Of course,"

"A BET is a bet. I'll sip the dang coffee from my grave if I have too."

"You keep your promises, no matter what society, what class or what house you come from. A promise is a promise."

Saint looked conflicted for a moment, then sipped the coffee. Heart watched the two of them, both intrigued and happy to be seeing this newer side of Saint.

"This is awful, every time I drink this it's like I chugged a cup of oil." Saint said.

Jerry laughed, but stood up.

"You keep cleaning your lungs with that, and I'll measure the boy myself."

"Hey, I said I would." Saint said testily.

"I'm okay if he does it." Heart piped up immediately jumping on the opportunity to let some of the sexual tension dissipate from the area.

Jerry took his pencil and thwacked Saint in the leg and Heart sucked on his bottom lip to control his automatic reaction which had wanted so desperately to be uncontrolled laughter.

"I won't have anybody defiling my workspace. This is where the right kinda magic happens."

Saint chuckled.

Fine, I will go out and get us something refreshing to change this flavor into something more palatable. Maybe by the time I come back, you will be done and this poison you fed me will have made its way out of my throat. He said then he left the building.

Heart watched him go, and it was only after he saw the car pull away that he could heave an enormous sigh of relief.

Jerry chuckled.

"Mind if a sentimental old fool told you some words of wisdom."

Heart blinked.

"Oh, yes, of course, please."

Jerry started measuring his legs carefully, yet still making much faster work of it than Saint had been, when they were just staring at each other needlessly.

"Tell him your genuine feelings, before it's too late. Nitpattanasai's will cling and give their everything to whatever they desire the most or whoever. But if they don't get any inclination that, that person feels the same, they will get rid of whatever, or whoever has become useless without a second thought."

"A heart can love alone for an endless amount of time. But it won't ever be the same heart you let go of before. You can never put that back."

"Feelings are tricky, and time is even trickier, when you waste between the two of them, too scared to make any moves at all. By the time you make a move, all the pieces are already gone."

Heart sighed.

"You could tell just from looking at me? But we don't even know each other." Heart said deflated.

'He had thought he was holding in his feelings well. But I guess he really hadn't been.'

"It's only the people inside the circle who can't see how obvious something is. Don't worry the idiot hasn't caught on yet either."

Heart chuckled.

"But you should still tell him.. Before it's too late."
