Sweet CEO's First Love
Chapter 22 - Amonrat
Heart walked into the big lot, with the giant mansion on it, and blinked in shock.
The large white house with beautiful designs etched upon its outwards walls and pillars that were almost three levels tall. Loomed in front of them as they stood on the perfectly manicured lawn, that was landscaped perfectly. Their primed bushes, shrubs, and low-lying flowers in multiple colors spilled their luscious scents into the surrounding air. The gray courtyard in front of the house led up to a grand ornate wooden double door, on a slightly raised patio with a small deck above the main entrance. "Where the heck are we?" He asked.
Saint watched him amused.
"We are at my house. The house I grew up in with my grandparents."
"This is your house?" Heart asked spacing out as he tried to take in all the grandeur.
The front doors opened and a man and a woman walked out.
"The brat would like to think it is, but it isn't."
Heart looked over at the unfamiliar voice.
Kit walked forward and went over to the unknown man's side.
The old man was dressed very professionally, a baby blue short-sleeved dress shirt, with dark khaki pants, and he walked very carefully, a cane in one hand, this beautiful woman with long dark hair and a flower in it. She looked to be maybe fifteen years younger than him, maybe even less and she clung to his arm lovingly.
Her face was one of those ageless beauties, where she seemingly stopped aging, and if she didn't have a few wrinkles at the corner of her eyes, it would be impossible to tell how old she was.
She wore a long light blue dress that had a floral pattern all the way from the top of the dress to the bottom. Her beautiful dark chestnut brown skin glowed beautifully under the moonlight.
You guys didn't have to come out to wait for us." Saint said, his voice composed, showing zero emotion.
Heart blinked up at him in surprise.
Kit was over there smiling and the woman had even reached out her hand and squeezed Kit's for a second. But Saint had become as composed as if this was a business deal.
The woman broke out into a giant smile.
"Oh, Saint every time you guys run into each other it's always so quiet, you stubborn Nitpattanasai men."
Amonrat smiled slowly, and it lit up his whole face, despite the deep lines from his stern, serious personality, his face still relaxed normally.
"Chimlin said that you guys haven't eaten. So you should do that first, you are looking like a mess, Nitpattanasai men shouldn't look like messes, ever." He tapped the woman Chimlin on the hand and then she helped him turn and the two of them walked back towards the giant house together.
Chimlin turned back, looked at Heart, caught his eye, and then gave him the sauciest little wink he had ever seen. Before giggling.
Heart looked at Saint and Saint shrugged.
Kit looked at the two of them holding the briefcase that Saint had brought with him, and Heart realized.
"Oh, you guys don't have luggage either."
"Of course not, this is our home, we have stuff here. Why would we need to bring luggage with us to Phuket." Kit chuckled, then shook out his head and fixed his glasses?
"Waiitt! One minute?"
They both turned to look at him.
"If you have a house here, why did we almost sleep on the beach?" Heart asked, utterly confused.
Kit chuckled at Heart, the sound ringing throughout the night sky.
"Remember Saint said he had a back-up plan that he absolutely didn't want to use or do, but he would if he had too."
Heart nodded, looking at Saint who looked aggravated and uncomfortable.
"That was here. Amonrat said that if he came home that he would take over the negotiations, though, and Saint would have to hand back that account. So you see it was a matter of pride."
Kit shook his head.
"Wow, you are ridiculously precious, Heart, don't ever change. I'm going into the house to change."
Heart looked up at Saint because Kit was and Heart stared with interest, Saint looked really upset by what Kit had just said.
Heart opened his mouth to ask something.
"Hold on I will be right back. Just go that way Chimlin said the food was in the backyard." Saint said, gesturing off to the far left side of the house and behind it.
"Just go that way till you reach some stairs. And then go down them till you get to the bottom of them, there is an archway. I will meet you there okay, there is just something I have to do first." Saint said then walked off towards the front of the house.
Heart stared after him confused, but walked in the direction he pointed even though the further he went to the left the darker it became, till it was almost a blank darkness, the other side of the house that had the lights on far enough away that none of its brightness reached over this way.
Heart looked around and sure enough around the side of the house and going down were what looked like stone steps. It was hard to make out, but he could at least tell the led down. Heart sighed and his stomach growled like crazy.
"Shush, I will get you something eventually," he whispered, realizing he didn't need to do so but still felt like he should.
"I have no idea why you wanted me back here but I am hungry, sore, and very tired. Are we going to eat soon?" Heart asked gently.
"I am hungry enough that I am starting to regret following you blindly into nowhere."
"Saint!"
"Kit?"
"Saint?"
"You said there was food!" Heart whisper yelled.
The darkness was silent.
His stomach growled at him to hurry no matter how scary the dark was and he sighed but continued down the long staircase to who knew where.
