THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

After the little commotion with the hero Farner, the two guards gave me clothes.

"Now that I think about it, I don't know the heroes' surname."

"SAINT AXELANDRIA."

"Saint?"

"Yes, all heroes from the beginning until nowadays have received the same surname."

"Why?"

"Because AXELANDRIA is the name the first hero received and so it has become her legacy."

"Hm…That doesn't look like a reason to me."

"What do I care? Dress up and let's go.."

"And what was the name of the first hero?"

"GENESIS SAINT AXELANDRIA."

Genesis? Well, that a somehow cute name.

"Okay, thank you."

The clothes the guards handed me, it is a uniform. A brown and white uniform made of three pieces: a brown coat reaching my ankle, a shirt with long sleeves which cover even my neck and the chain on it and finally a normal pair of brown trousers.

As we go out of the infirmary, there are six buildings in front of us. Going from my left to my right, the first is brown, the second blue, the third and the fourth are grey like a normal building, the fifth is red and the last one is white. All the colored buildings are three-story buildings while the two at the center are five-story buildings.

The infirmary is just like a small house. Do people not wound themselves here? That's weird.

"The eternal academy is divided into three areas: the school and dormitories which you are seeing, then the training area just behind it which is where you will receive your practical classes. And finally, the examination grounds by your right."

Looking at my right, there is…nothing? Just a vast and empty space.

"That's where you will receive your test tomorrow. At least, it is what her highness Saint Axelandria said we should tell you."

"Huh…okay."

By the time we finish talking, we are already in front of the brown building.

"This building is the one used by people who can't use elemental Angas. Once inside, talk to Vega ARN. He is the one in charge of the firsts years."

"And all the others in fact. Fufufu."

"Stop it."

This whole time, the second guard was completely silent. I even thought he was mute but it seems he isn't. And from his devilish-like smile, there is something bad going on inside. Oh well, as long as I am not affected.

"Welcome to the eternal academy."

The guard hands me a bracelet. It is small and grey, the crystal at the top is small as well, the size of an apple's seed.

"All the necessities are contained inside. Make sure to keep it safe and don't lose it."

Then he turns around and goes away with his colleague. They both start laughing some meters away.

"Ah…" I hope I will be able to flee during the night.

When I enter the building, there is a hall which seems to take the whole first floor. There are chairs and couchs at all corners and at the center. Simple and a bit old. Students are sitting here and there. Some are reading while others are just chit-chatting.

A student approaches me but he looks like a bandit somehow. Or maybe that's just his face. I read his mind before he starts talking.

'Yep, I should be able to steal his belongings easily. Let's go with the usual. Then I will seel them back to him little by little. Ah, money, money.'

"Hello, you must the new-"

"Are you Vega ARN?"

"No, but I –"

"Then I am not interested."

I pass him and go straight to a girl who was reading a book. But the guy is persistent. He comes back and this time grabs my shoulder.

"Hey, wait."

"Remove your hand."

"What?"

"Remove. Your. Hand."

The guy hesitates a little then finally removes his hand from my shoulder.

"You won't last long here if you don't make friends, you know? You should hear my advice."

"Yeah; yeah, just go already."

"Oh…" The guy goes away while a vein pops out on his forehead. Not my problem.

"Excuse me, I am looking for-" The girl in front of me is shaking like a leaf. What is going on?

'No, no, no, please. Don't talk to me. Or they will beat me up as well. Please, go away!' Is what she is thinking right now. IS that guy some kind of king around here?

As I turn my head, everybody avoids my gaze as well. This is getting more and more annoying.

"Let's go to the second floor, then." As I walk the stairs to the second floor, a come across a student standing there with his arms crossed. He looks old, at least thirty years old or so. And he is a student?

"I am looking for Vega ARN."

"And you are?"

"A new student."

"Is that so…" The guy looks at me up and down, then down and up. He looks at the bracelet on my hands and smiles a bit.

'Another one who is going to get beaten up for not paying the fees to Kil. I hope he won't flee after that, hihihi.'
