THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

"Your dog will arrive next week at most. My men are taking good care of him. Don't worry."

"He is not a dog. He is a wolfider."

"Same difference."

"He is a-"

"Anyway, concerning the most important topic. We will meet the headmaster of the eternal academy so mind your tongue or you might lose it."

"He is a WOL.FI..DER." This guy is getting on my nerves. Not only did he not apologize for what he said about Selene and Excafol but he even insulted K'nor. That's too much.

"Alright. He is a wolfider. Can we continue now?"

"Yes."

"Okay. So, I said…"

We reach the fifth floor of the building and there is a single door in front of us. A gigantic door which should be at least four meters high. There are four knights in front of it, wearing red and silver armors. The two at the corners are holding big shields the same size as them.

"They look cool."

"They are the personal guards of the headmaster. So, watch our tongue."

As we walk to them, the two at the center each hold on a side of the doors and pulls them. There is no sound as the doors open, revealing a woman with glasses sitting behind a desk inside.

"Ah, Sir DILT. The headmaster is waiting for you."

"Thank you."

"And he is?"

"He is with me. Don't worry."

"I see."

The woman then places her hand on some kind of orb at the corner of her table and then light engulfs us. When the light fades, we are inside a spacious room. The walls are decorated with flags and tapestry while the floor has expensive-looking tiles.

"Ah, old friend. How are you?"

That voice…No way, grand uncle!!!

"I am fine. Just a little hasty right now. I want to introduce you to somebody concerning the project E."

"Oh…And who might you be, young lad?"

Lad? You didn't talk like that before, grand uncle.

"Kevin Dragonroad."

"Dragonroad? That's quite the unusual name you have."

"Yeah, I know."

"Hm…So how can he help us, then, Dilt?"

"He was involved with Veronica and Demether. Since he has a grudge against them, he will surely participate in the missions. We had trouble finding somebody who would effectively accomplish them and not tell a soul about it but now, this won't be a problem anymore."

How does he know so much? Could it be that this guy has been spying on me?

"And how do you know I won't betray you guys?"

"Because you bear too much hatred towards her. Just like Frankher."

Frankher? Wait, grand uncle's name is Frankher. Now that I think about it, I never knew his name.

"How do you know so much about me?"

"What? You think I have been spying on you?"

"That's what it looks like to me."

"…It doesn't matter anyway."

"Right." So, you have been spying on me after all!!

"You are an intriguing young one. To speak with the high commander of the eternal army like he is an ordinary man. Indeed, we might be able to collaborate."

"Is he not a man?"

"He is, though extremely powerful. But if you are not afraid then it is good. Or else we would have no use of you. Now, let's us sit."

Frankher brings us to a separate room, less decorated than the first one, with two couches and a table.

After we sit, he pours us both a some tea.

"Before we start, lad, do you know about the disaster that happened in Tatradum seven years ago and the ones in Nargil some weeks ago?" If I heard of it? I was there!!!

"I heard of it, yes."

"That makes things faster then. I believe that Veronica is involved in both of them."

"Wait, what?!" I look at Sebastian but he just closes his eyes. He didn't tell him everything?

"What is it?"

"No, nothing. Please continue."

"Hm, hm. Especially concerning the destruction of Tatradum. I am sure she is deeply involved in it. But until now, we have only found meager and unsolid proofs. Even though we almost went to war with Nivalneilm because of it. Even though I lost my precious grand nephew in that…" Frankher squeezes his cup so hard it breaks. Are you really angry?

"Your precious grand nephew…" I was precious to you? what a joke!!

"Yes, the son of my adopted cousin."

Wait, William was adopted?

"I…I see." So, William was not born in the Koersombre. Perhaps that's why they didn't send anybody to find me. So that's why I didn't matter. From the beginning, not just me, my whole family was an unneeded one.
