THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

"Ditorria?"

"Yes. Now, pick up the-"

"I see."

Could he be related to Excafol? It's true that I don't really know anything about his family. I will ask this guy later.

After the duel, I went back to my dorm but it was empty.

"I guess they were all looking."

Well, if they were looking, that's good. They probably won't try to interact with me.

In the evening, all the students return to the dorm. My wounds have all healed except for the wounds caused by the arrows that are closing slowly. It is really weird to see your wounds close in front of you like this.

The next day, when I open my eyes, the sun is already shining brightly.

All this time, I sleep either on the grass or on K'nor. Sleeping on the floor is way different.

When I go out of my room. There is a puddle of something on the floor, at the corner of the door. Something purple. It looks gross, like someone throws up there, but I think it is poison. It was placed way too perfectly at the entrance so that I would step into it without paying attention.

"They haven't given up yet?" Anyway, I am in the mood for some readings.

I go to the library of the dorm and it is empty. Good. Sadly, though, there are not a lot of books. There is a total of ten shelves in the library but only three of them have books. They are even scattered on those shelves.

"Oh, well. Nothing I can do." I should retrieve my bracelet from Farner as fast as possible. That will be my objective for now.

I rummage among the books and find two which are talking about script's creation.

"Let's start with those."

In the afternoon, I have finished reading one of the books but I didn't learn anything. It kept saying that to create a script, one must be in perfect harmony with his body and mind and his prayers to the goddess must be as sincere as possible.

"That's just useless." Why would they explain it like that? And now I am hungry. Thinking about it, I still haven't seen the contents of the bracelet received from the guards.

I activate it and books pop out. Three books, a notebook as well, a pencil, and a little pouch. It is not that heavy.

When I enter the ground floor, there is a big hall in a half-circle with stairs at the corners and the center. There is also an opened door to my left with the sign 'canteen' at the top.

"Just what I was looking for."

I walk and enter the canteen but then, students, everywhere. The canteen is huge and wide, and there are a lot of students sitting and walking around. Or well, they were walking. When they see me at the entrance, everybody stops. It's like the whole world froze.

"Sigh…So annoying." I enter towards the end of the canteen, where I can see people giving food. They restart walking as I advance, or more like they are trying their best to evade me. Yeah, move out of the way of this lowly peasant. You wouldn't want to catch any weird diseases while touching me, right?

When I reach the place where they are serving food, there are three women behind the counter full of food. There is meat, fish, fruits, rice, and other things I don't remember the name.

"What will you take today?"

"I would like some chicken, meat and rice, with-"

"Sorry but you can't take both."

"Eh? Really?" Selene always put both in her dishes though. And so do I when I cook.

"Yes."

"Wait…What are you doing? Don't you know who he is?"

One of the women whispers to the one who is speaking to me. So, even they have heard of it. Well, it is not that surprising. A day has passed since and a lot of students were present.

"Well, I will just take chicken and rice then."

"Spicy?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

The woman takes a plate and puts some rice and chicken in it with a tomato sauce. The smell is quite fantastic. Then she puts it in a tray and gives it to me.

"I don't need to pay?"

"No, you are a student, silly."

"I see. Thank you."

"You are welcome. Enjoy your meal."
