THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

I really don't feel at my place here. Maybe going to jail would be better. But if I still have these chains on then it doesn't change anything.

"Headmaster." Let's ask Frankher about my green hair guy. I don't need to waste time with the rest of them.

"There was a green hair student-"

"AH, yes.. You asked about him earlier." Why can't you shut up a bit, Cordel? No, if I say that, somebody is going to turn wild again.

"Green hair?"

"Yes, headmaster. He is talking about SULIVAN ROSWELL."

"AH, I see. Sulivan. Yes, the young Sulivan. An impulsive and rather violent one. His family is a second-degree nobility but they don't hold as much power as other families. Especially after it got discovered that he, the next heir, only had one elemental Angas as a blessing from the goddess."

"I see." So, he got angry that I smashed down his friend. Well, he is caring, at least.

"But why do you ask?"

"He was making all kinds of grimaces so I found him to be quite funny." If Frankher is as smart as I think. he should understand what I mean without me blurting it out for everyone to hear.

"Eh? Wait, Kevin. That's why you wanted me to give you his name?"

"Yeah."

"W-wait, I thought."

"You think too much."

"But-"

"Anyway." I look at Frankher and he sighs while smiling

"I don't know about the son being funny but I had dinner with his father once in their side mansion near Mercuria. It was located south of here, I think. The place was clean enough but the only problem was that the place was really dark at night. And the man himself was so stern and stingy. Always talking about money and how to save it as much as possible. He had me sleep without a candle. Can you imagine?"

Okay, that was more informations than I could have asked for. I should be able to operate, but I still have a problem: a weapon. Aside from Tatiana's dagger. I don't have any weapon I can use. Going to an unknown environment without the appropriate weapon would be detrimental. But who can I ask a raizen to here?

During the night, everybody trained in the hall. I went upstairs but I could hear their joyful laughs. I wonder how much time has passed since I have laughed.

When the moon is high in the sky. I hear somebody's heartbeat coming. I can already guess who it is, but just in case, I get up from my bed and hide behind the door of my new room. It is a very spacious and comfortable room by the way. It has a huge bed just like the one in Farner's room, with a table, a chair, a small library, a carpet even.

My door suddenly opens and somebody with long shining golden hair enters. Of course, it was you. Farner goes to my bed and touches it slightly.

"I knew it! He went somewhere again."

"You are awfully engaged in watching me."

"Kyaa!!"

Just like last time, she jumps and lands on my bed, hitting her head on the wall.

"Ouch!! It hurts!" She starts wriggling on my bed while holding her head, rolling on my sheets to the point she almost falls off.

"Are you okay?"

"No, I am not! You dummy! Why would you surprise me like that?!!"

"Why do you keep monitoring me?"

"Because you will do something stupid again if I am not here."

"Something stupid? Are you serious right now?"

"Yeah."

"So, between what you guys did and what I tried to do. You think…what you messed up was better?"

"So much better. Nobody is dead after all."

"And how is that good?"

"Well, nobody deserves to die, after all. That's what the church teaches us."

"What do you think?"

"I think the same."

Nobody deserves to die? What a joke!!

"Then even if somebody has destroyed other people's lives, even if he got selfish and acted only for his own good, killing hundreds, thousands of people to satisfy his own desire, he wouldn't deserve to die?!!! Do you take me for a moron?!!! Wouldn't the church be the first one to find and slay him?!!"

"You don't deserve to die, Kevin. Whatever it is that you did."

"I-I wasn't talking about me!!" AH…There it is again. That weird feeling. It had somehow calmed down a little but it came back again. My heart is beating so fast after what Farner just said that it could probably explode. I can hear it beating inside my head like a horse running full speed.

Why? Why do her words me react so much? What kind of scripts is she using while talking to affect me?

"W-why are you looking at me like that? I told you already, I won't marry you or anything, you know."

Only now do I notice that she is wearing only a shirt again. Her smell is that one again, the sweet and fragrant smell. I really like that smell.

"Who would marry a gnoll?"

"What?!!!"

She jumps from my bed and lands right in front of me. Again, just like Esteressa, I saw them. Though they were white this time.

"You should avoid jumping around when wearing that."

"Or else what?! You are afraid of my gnoll-like legs?!"

"Or else people will see your panties. Like I just did."

"Kyaa!!" She holds her shirt with both hands while crouching a bit.

"I already saw it anyway."

"You!... You pervert!!"

And she slaps me for nothing. This girl and her anger issues...

"Ah…"

"I swear." Farner leaves my room and slams the door after her. Did the wall just crack?

The next day, Frankher came in the morning with Aspen and check on us all. Then I used the machine together with the others. My score went up to 185 now. It's not a big growth but they all keep screaming and encouraging me for no reason. Even though their own score isn't improving that much.

Farner didn't come to my room during the night so I slept without any noises. On the last day before the trial, everyone decided that Cordel would be the one to fight. I didn't really try to argue since I have another plan in mind.

"Okay guys, let's go."

"Yeah!!"

Cordel is dressed up like a knight. He is wearing a flashy white and brown armor. The design is good and the helmet doesn't look too cumbersome. It's a good armor. Everyone seems quite hyped. Oh well, not my problem. I will do my part and see whether or not you guys' path is the right one.

"I will go to the bathroom first."

"Eh?" Farner turns and looks at me with such a surprised face you would think I said I am dying.

"What?"

"Why are you going again? You were in the bathroom earlier."

"You seriously need to stop monitoring me."

This girl has a problem, I am telling you. I go to the boy's bathroom on the second floor and escape through the window. Then I run outside the academy through the forest and go to the pet's house.

"K'nor. It's time to murder some fuckers."

"Woof!"
