THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

Chapter 153 - CHAPTER 154: LET'S GO TO CLASS (2)

I suppose it makes sense. They have been here for a while compared to me after all.

I knock on the door three times but there is no answer. I open the door and enter. This classroom is exactly the same as the one before.

There some all-color uniforms sitting here and there. Three red uniforms, seven blue uniforms, more than ten brown ones, and zero white. I am the only omega class here.

In front, the teacher is a woman, with round glasses. She is wearing heels, something I hadn't seen in a long time. Together with the glasses and the slim book she is holding, it gives her that fearful look like she could beat up with a single stare..

"And you are?"

"I am Kevin Dragonroad. Omega class student."

"Hm…I don't like to be disturbed during my class. Let this be the first and last time."

"I…Okay." I didn't want to come in the first place.

"It's 'yes, madam' for you."

"Yes, madam."

"Good, take a seat and bring out your notebook. I will continue for now and gives you a crash course at the end."

I go and sit on an empty seat right in the first row. No, actually, the whole first and second rows are empty. Could I have made a mistake?

"So, as I said. The difference between a core and crystal lies in the type of Longinus you face."

Wait, what class is this? Now that I look at the board, there all kinds of creatures depicted on it with lots of notes and signs and whatnot that I don't understand. Where the fuck did I come?!

"Low-class Longinus are like working ants. They collect and steal Angas then transfer it to the middle and advanced class who will then reinforce their cores. Now, the question I ask last time: why is that? After all, being as strong as they are, they wouldn't need to obtain more strength, right?"

The teacher looks at everyone but nobody moves, her stare is fled like a mortal sickness by everyone. I love to learn but this time, I don't even understand what they are talking about. Though, it is about Longinus so…

"Cissa?"

"Yes?"

"What is a core?"

"Longinus core?"

"Yeah."

"An advanced form of crystal. They are more densified, more powerful. The true Longinus all have at least one."

"True Longinus?"

"Yes. Those who have awake a conscience. They are extremely dangerous and strong. Unlike the others, their Regas doesn't have the ability to steal Angas and store it within a crystal. It just destroys."

"I see."

If the true Longinus receive Stolen Angas from other ones but don't steal it themselves then that means…

"Madam?" I raise my hand right as the teacher was about to turn around. She looks at me with such doubtful eyes that I feel bad. Like a child who just said the truth but still got scolded by his parents.

"Yes? Do you want to answer?"

"Yes."

"Go ahead then." She shows a sneer then rapidly covers her mouth with her hand. She doesn't think I can give a good answer, huh? Oh, well, I will at least what I understood from all this.

"I think it because their core has evolved. As it evolves from a crystal from a core, it loses the ability to store Angas and so they lose the ability to steal it as well. But they gain in power in return for that."

I think that's accurate enough considering Cissa's explanations.

"Ohh…That's correct. Well done, Mister…what did you say your name was again?"

She already forgot my name?! This bitch…

"Dragonroad."

"Well done, Mister Dragonroad. I am surprised you know that much about Longinus already. A perk of being with the heroes I suppose."

Can you just admit I find the answer you wanted? What's the deal with the teachers in this school?!

The teacher continues the lesson for two hours. She explained a lot about Longinus. So much, in fact, I think I can already see new ways of killing those beasts I fought before. I should ask her how they are called.

"Okay. That's enough for today. Your historian teacher is currently sick so you can all dismiss."

She finally closes her slim book and goes to the table near the table.

She sits and waves her finger in my direction without even looking at me. That's some attitude you have there, woman.

"Mister Dragonroad. Did anybody teach you about Longinus before?"

"No."

"Hm…"

"No, madam." Shit, I hate to have to respect people who don't deserve it."

"I see. Your answer was pinpointed, though. It's refreshing to see that there still students who don't just want to become nobles or named warriors but actually cares about learning."

"Is that so?"

"Well, I can't really blame them. Fighting Longinus is not rewarding and most of the time, there are never remains of those who died to them."

"That's kinda sad, I guess."

"You guess?" She looks at me with surprise then stands up. She comes to me, holds my face, peers so hard into my eyes her glasses almost fall.

"Bou ofay, maram?" She is holding my cheeks so hard I can't speak normally.

"I see, I see. Very interesting. Anyway, I want only one thing from my student: punctuality. No matter how smart or strong you are. Punctuality is one of the best qualities to have."

"I understand. I will do my best."

"…"

"Madam."

"Good. Now, I take this." She passes me a small purple notebook which was on the table. "This a summary of all types of Longinus reported until today. It is the major part of my classes and all first-years must know at least that before their second year. Seeing as you are already four months late and there are only three months remaining, I would advise you to be diligent in your studies."

"Will there be a test about all this?"

"Yes, of course. Why else would I be doing all this?"

"But I heard that to graduate -"

"To graduate, you need to submit a project and get a recommendation from one of us. Then how do you think we decide who we recommend or not?"

"Through the tests?"

"Bingo."

She goes to the door of the class and then turns around.

"I teach three subjects in the eternal academy for the first, second, and third years so if anyone who wants me to recommend him must score more than 80% in each subject's test."

Then she leaves the class, closing the door after her.

"So, this is school, huh…"
