THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

"Ahhh!!"

I strike him with all my might but my attack doesn't even reach him. Some sort of dark hue forms a barrier around him and blocks my attack.

"Oh…You can still move? Impressive."

"RUN!! NOW!!!"

Pedro and Peter somehow start moving again as they hear my voice. They release their aura and starts running like madmans. Esteban does the same then stops as he reaches the stairs..

"And where are you going?"

As the mysterious presence speaks, a sort of mist appears everywhere. The air becomes dark and heavy.

"You will all die he-"

I strike again and this time, my raizen passes through the barrier and hits him. But…

"Urgh!!"

His body is too hard, as hard as a stone. My raizen and my whole body trembles as I step back.

"You are interesting. Perhaps, I should keep you alive."

"Argh!!"

Esteban appears in front of me, surrounded by a halo of flames. It looks like a script. Yeah, like Tatiana's script, but with fire Angas.

"Fucker!!!"

Esteban thrusts his sword but the next instant, his script stops, his stomach completely opens, pierced by something that also flies to me with such speed I didn't even see it coming. It strikes my neck right at the place where the chain is. They instantly break while I am thrown back a bit.

"Esteban!!"

I don't have time to understand what just happens. I must kill this guy!

"What is the use of screaming? You humans are really noisy, you know."

I lunge forward, infuse my raizen with Angas, and unleash Titanic Slash. The barrier completely blocks it and even destabilizes me. As I am pushed back, the man looks at me.

"Aren't you tired already? Weaklings like you wouldn't even scratch me."

While landing, I take a quick look at Peter and Pedro but they still haven't moved at all. I don't have a choice. I will have to use my draconic power.

I release my draconic power and pounce on the guy again. This time, my strike breaks his barrier and he even raises his hand, blocking my attack.

"Impossible!" He blocks my strike with his bare hands!!

I unleash a flurry of strikes without even touching the ground but the monster just blocks all of them with his left hand like it was a child throwing pebbles at him.

"Fuck you!!"

"Please. There is no need for such vulgar language."

He blocks and counters my raizen a last time. Pushing it back with a slight wrist movement. But still, it's enough, I heard them after all. Pedro and Peter restarted moving when I was striking him. I can still barely hear their steps on the stairs. They must be at the top by now.

"I believe I told you all…"

I pounce on the guy but before I can reach him.

"To stay put until I KILL YOU!!"

The human-like monster raises his head in the guys' direction and a powerful wave of black energy pushes me back quite far. When I look at him. Four balls of black energy are floating around him.

"No way!"

The four balls elongate into whips and start slashing at everything around them. I block one of the whips then a second one but I suddenly hear something falling above me. I look up and the whole ceiling is coming down. Those whips actually slashed through the rock like butter!!

"Dammit!!"

I evade the falling rocks as best I can while blocking the whips as well.

"You are struggling in vain, human."

Another whip slash through the air, faster than before. As I block it, it happens. My raizen breaks. Half of the blade flies off when I strike the whip to counter it.

"Shi-"

A piece of falling rock also knocks my head.

"AHH!!"

I hear Pedro's scream as well. I dodge another whip then look in the direction of the scream, only to notice Pedro getting cleaved in two, along with the guy he was carrying, and dispersing like ashes.

"Fuck!!!"

Peter didn't fall so I can still save him.

"Now, to kill the other human."

The monster doesn't even look my way anymore. Now is my chance.

"Cissa."

"Yes! Do it!"

Draconic energy gathers in front of me and after forming a ball the size of my head, shrinks to reach the size of an apple.

"ARGH!!"

I release it in the direction of the guy and a huge explosion occurs.

"You okay?"

After I unleashed the Roar, the guy disappeared, leaving only a core, shaped like a pear where he was. I grabbed it and then ran out. Peter was already going through the crack when I reach up. I don't know how he managed to enter with Rose but since he did it, it's good. The stairs all got destroyed from the explosion so I had to jump around.

The explosion from the Roar was much less powerful than the previous ones. Perhaps because of the chains…Wait, the chains around my neck got broken. So the only one remaining is the one on my foot. And it was still strong enough to reduce my power like that. Unbelievable!

"No, I am not! Let's run away before whatever it was comes back!"

As we get out through the crack, Peter immediately starts trembling and kneels on the ground. His legs are shaking so much he has trouble standing up. How do you want us to run away, then?

A few seconds after we get out, K'nor appears. Where was he? He doesn't look good. His fur is all raised and his ears standing up like crazy. His tail is raised as well. We should really flee from here quickly.
