THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

After our morning dispute, we all eat breakfast in an awkward atmosphere. Farner is angry, my face is healed, everything is as it should be, I would like to say…But I guess I can't. I should apologize to Farner later.

"Alright!! Today, we all go to the winter festival!!" Esteressa is like a child right now, jumping around with an overjoyed face.

The reason, today is the start of the winter festival. A little bit like Tatradum, I guess. Though ours was right before the winter. I wonder why they did their own after it started. We all finish eating then everyone goes to the balcony upstairs and start talking about this and that.

Let's just leave them to whatever they are doing. I go to the library and takes a book on weapon' structures. I don't know why is such a book here since there isn't a craftsman here but since it is talking about weapon' structures, I should better understand how to wield a raizen if I read this..

In the afternoon, I hear voices in the hallway. I guess they are getting ready to go to the festival. When I get out, I stumble upon Lanuvel who was about to open the door. I heard her coming so I am not surprised but she shudders and almost falls, thankfully I grab her hand before she does.

"You okay?"

"Y-yeah. I wanted to see if you were still in the library."

"I am going to prepare now."

"Okay. I will as well." She stands back up and goes, her body still trembling a bit. Is she sick?

Once again, when I reach my room, there are clothes already placed on my bed. With a big brown fur coat this time, and fur gloves. I dress up and go outside, finding the heroes already waiting together with Esteressa. They are eager to go as well, I see.

Farner doesn't look away like this morning so I guess she isn't as mad as this morning.

"You don't wear gloves?"

"Nope." I don't feel the cold so gloves aren't really necessary. "But what about you Excia?"

"I am an archer so wearing gloves makes me feel itchy. I don't like them."

"I see." Now that I think about it, I never saw her wearing gloves. So that's why.

"You guys got ready too fast!" Keltia arrives a bit after me and she is overjoyed as well. She is wearing a red and white coat with gloves and a knitted hat. After her, Peter comes, then Cordel and everyone is finally there.

I don't see any carriage so I guess we are going on foot.

"Woah!!"

"Skewered meat for only 5 wellis!! Who wants the best meat in town!!"

"Roasted corn!! Buy three and you get a free one!!"

In town, we went to the market and it is filled with people and shops. There are so many people no carriage could move through this place. I understand why we didn't take one. Though I thought since Keltia is a noble, people would be more aware of her but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Actually, even the heroes, it is true that they all covered their hair and faces with hoods but even so, I didn't think nobody would notice them. As we move through the market, three people can't stop buying things.

"Hey, give me ten of those!"

"Uwaa, Sho goof! Cordel! You should totally try this!"

"I want the sweet one! Three of them!"

Lanuvel, Esteressa and Farner are like a storm. They invade any stalls selling foods and buy as much as they can munch from them. What is more extraordinary is that they barely share it with us and eat almost all of it. Their stomach must be a bottomless pit.

"This idiot…"

Excia seems to a bit irritated by Farner's behavior but Roxcia doesn't seem to mind. If anything, she seems to be overly interested in me. She has been glancing at me ever since we left the mansion.

"Is there something on my face?" If you have something to say, say it.

"No, I was just lost in my thoughts." She was thinking while scanning my face? Really?

"Okay."

"Roxcia is hard to convince so she still cannot believe what she saw this morning."

"I see."

"There is nothing to believe anyway."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Hey, guys!! Come and check those!!" Farner suddenly calls us while waving a piece of bread with a mouth dirty. She really can be such a kid.

"It is true that they are four years younger." I tend to forget because they don't look like their ages but they are indeed younger than us. And yet, they have duties to fulfill. Being the same, I guess I can sympathize with you.

"Hurry up!! we will miss it!"

"That's because you were eating too much! Idiot!!"

"Don't call me an idiot!!"

When the sun completely disappeared, Keltia suddenly went crazy and started running in the direction of the mansion. I didn't even get to hear what she said but soon after her, everybody started doing the same. I don't know why we are running like this but I don't like spending my energy for nothing. I stay a bit in the rear, together with Lanuvel and Farner, which is surprising.

"Ugh! I shouldn't have eaten so much! I am going to throw up…"

"Ugh! Me as well…" Ah, I see. They ate too much so they can't run properly.

"That's why Excia says you are an idiot."

"What?!"

Farner turns around and almost collides with somebody. Before she adds anything else, I grab her and Lanuvel's hands then fly above the people and house.

"Hyaa!!!"

"Kyaa!!"

They both start screaming like little girls while wriggling around.

"Stop moving or you will fall."

"W-what is happening?"

"What are you doing?" Lanuvel is obviously surprised since it is her first time but Farner is just way too angry. I don't see why

"You guys said you couldn't run so I am helping you. If you don' want it, then I can put you down anytime."

I say so while accelerating a bit more.

"HYAAA!!!" They both scream again, almost busting my ears. Damn, you guys are so noisy.

Since I am flying, I don't take the same path as the others and go straight to the mansion. I don't think they saw us flying but I will explain myself if the need arises. I quickly reach the mansion and land inside, on the hill of the estate.

While I do, butlers and maids come running to us, together with one or two guards. They all look at me dumbfounded and flabbergasted. Then, a few seconds later, I hear an explosion behind me. When I turn around, I face the most beautiful scenery of my life. Thousands, millions of colors in the sky!

"WOAH!!" What is this?! There are myriads of colors in the sky flickering while creating different shapes then disappearing like they appeared! I have never seen anything like this.

"Keltia will be so mad she missed the fireworks…"

"I can already see it from here…"

I don't know what Farner and Lanuvel are talking about but those things are fireworks.
