THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

"I see." I wouldn't trust that pope too much though. Nor do I trust Dilt who is still in Titanium right now. His power seems to be growing as well. I wonder what he is doing.

"Okay." I give a last look at chicken who grunts like a dog then leave. It was funny to see him getting stripped of his pride like that.

Outside, I find the old Davy waiting, together with some other mercenaries. There is the muscular woman, Lanuvel's double, the woman who got insulted the other day, and two men.

"Good morning."

"Hey!! How are you doing?" The muscular woman pounces on me and grabs me by the armpits then lifts me up like a child.

"Huh...What are you doing?"

"You really don't weigh that much." She puts me down then pats my head twice. "How can a twig like you be so strong?" Is she provoking me? She is provoking me, right? I can punch her in the face, right?

"Greta, stop. I told you that's not how you say thank you." Lanuvel's double comes and slaps Greta's arm.

"What? I am like a grandmother to him. Why would act any differently?"

"I would never have a grandmother like you."

"What?!! You are breaking my heart; you know?!!" Let's ignore this clown.

"Anyway. Old man, you should stay on your guard once inside. The chicken isn't in a good mood right now."

"The chicken?" They all look at me with surprised faces.

"Lucas."

"Wait, you call him chicken?"

"Puahahaha!!" While the others are even more surprised, the muscular woman starts laughing like she was waiting for this.

"You will understand why once you are inside. With that, I will see you later."

I leave the group and Lanuvel's double once again stares at me for a long while. Let's ignore this.

In the afternoon, I am with the guys. Eating, drinking, laughing. They really love to do that. The only problem right now is that…

I don't know how they ended up here. I swear it is not me, Roxcia so please stop glaring at me. Farner and everyone has come to see us. And one thing leading to another, somebody has the stupid idea of giving beer to Farner who got drunk almost instantly. Now, she is defying everyone to arm wrestling and she has actually busted three guys' wrists already. What is more amazing is that the guy keeps coming at her without a care for those already on the floor.

"Is there no one else?!! Hah?!!" Roxcia just won't stop glaring at me. I am sure that if I talk to her right now, she will kill me. And it is not even my fault.

"Willhem, this is your fault so you take responsibility for it."

"EH?!! No way, man. But I have a better idea."

"Hey, Hero!! I have the perfect challenger for you!!" He did it. This bastard!

"…Hick!" Farner looks at me with her red face then smiles and places her arm on the table. "Bring it on, hick!"

"Sh…" I almost cursed. Roxcia would have certainly used it as a pretext to beat the shit out of me. Though she didn't do anything to Lanuvel last time so maybe she has stopped beating up people who curse. Nah, let's not drop our guard here.

I go to the table, pushed by everyone then sit in front of Farner and our hands lock.

"Hick! I will…Hick! I will make you pay for the time you destroyed my gauntlet. Hick!" She didn't forget that one?

"I thought we went over that already."

One guy comes and places his hand on locked hands.

"Are you both ready?"

"Don't worry, I won't make it hurt too much."

"Don't forget, no Angas is allowed. Only brute strength. If you use Angas, you lose. Go!!"

Instantly, Farner's face changes to a serious one. The table also cracks under the strength we have applied.

Though Farner is on the winning side, I am resisting as best as I can. If I have to compare, I think my level is very close to Farner now. I have become stronger. I am sure of it.

"What are you smiling for?" She looks at me with a serious face but I smile even more. The table cracks even more after that. And I even manage to raise my hand back a little.

Farner's face changes and a large smile appears on it.

Farner releases her aura and the table, the tents, the fire…all the light objects around us are sent to oblivion. The table especially got reduced to splinters.

Still, I managed to hold on, without using Angas, she didn't manage to bring my arm to the ground or even aligned completely horizontally.

"Stop already!!" Excia comes and smacks Farner's head who then stops her aura and also releases my hand to hold my head.

"Ouch!! What was that for, Excia?!"

"That was because you are an idiot."

"Hey!! But I didn't do…Burgh…I…Burgh… I don't feel so good. Burgh…"

Out of nowhere, Farner turns to me and vomits on my clothes without a second thought.

"Blergh…."

This guy is going to make stupid rumors go around now.

"Urgh…" Meanwhile, Farner is being carried away by her sisters. And Roxcia is still glaring at me while transporting her. I better leave the city fast.

Samson touches my shoulder then follows the heroes together with Lanuvel. Now, let's go and clean my clothes.

I go inside our tent to change but soon after I got undressed, somebody enters the tent. This light smell of orange which is in the air... Lanuvel's double?

"So you were an assassin after all." She is behind me but I don't think there is the need to turn around. I can kill her just like this.

"Eh?" Don't 'eh' me.

"Why did you not try to strike before?" Ah, yeah. It is true that there weren't a lot of opportunities. "Sorry for being a difficult target. But I also hope you will-"

"Why would I have t…Are you not cold?" When I turn around, the woman is only wearing her underwear and some sort of transparent black clothes that reaches down to the middle of her thighs.

"That's the first reaction you have. Tch." Why did you click your tongue?

"Do you need something?" I remove my trousers as well and the woman smiles then starts walking to me.

"I see that you are quick to understand."

"You should stay right there." I stop her a good two meters before she reaches me. Knowing my luck, nothing good will come out of this. Worst case, gnoll 1 or 3 could even barge in right now and I would certainly be dead.

"Don't worry, I will make sure it comes out quickly. I know that people are waiting for you outside."

"What are you talking about?" I put another pair of pants on and the woman frowns.

"What are you doing? This will make sure waste time again." Huh, what?

I read the woman's mind and it seems she is a pervert.

"I am sorry but I don't see you that way. You should go back." You should really go back before my luck activates another scary event.

"It doesn't matter. I didn't come here to be all lovey-dovey with you. I only need your seed."
