THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

Chapter 366 - CHAPTER 366: BETRAYAL (3)

WILLIAM KOERSOMBRE POV:

We go back to the main army after that and help everyone establish the temporary camp. It is far enough from the dome and some of the tents are placed on a hill. The chances that we are attacked without knowing it are low.

After that, I go to Rebecca's tent in order to give my report but I hear screams coming from inside.

"How can you not judge her?!! She has betrayed us!! Don't you see?!!"

"Stop being unreasonable already!! You are not the one to decide how she will live!!"

"She is just staining our honor!! This is no way to live!!"

Miss Roxcia and Rebecca seem to be arguing like never. Is it still about the fact that her friend got pregnant? Why does he take it so bad?

I enter the tent but what greets me is a cup flying in my direction.

"Ouch!" It hits me right in the face. What is happening here. "What are you guys doing?!"

"Get out!! We don't need you here!!"

"You don't speak to my protector like that!!"

"Or else what?!! You will slap me again?!"

Rebecca raises her hand but before she can go any further, I jump in and stop her.

"Stop. You know you don't want to do this." Just looking at Miss Roxcia's crying face is already enough.

"Fuu…Fuu… Get out. If you don't correct your attitude by tomorrow morning, I won't allow you to participate in this mission."

"I would rather bite my tongue off."

She goes away while crying once again. This is the second time I have seen a hero crying. To think that one person is the reason for this is very surprising in a bad way. I always knew that this guy was bad news.

The next day, all the officers reunited in Rebecca's tent. There are seven people, including the heroes. Miss Roxcia looks like she has calmed down. Though she doesn't stay with her sisters as per usual. She is alone in a corner of the tent, while the other two are with Rebecca.

"Ahem…" Let's focus on the task at hand first. "Good morning everyone. I will try to be as brief as possible. Yesterday, we made a first survey of the dome and found a weakness here. There seems to be an old church near the border of the dome that is weakening it. It might not be enough to enter and come out easily but-"

"Then why did you say it is a weakness?" Miss Roxcia's voice is cold and irritated. Don't turn your hatred on me, okay. I am only doing my job.

"Well, since the power of the goddess is-"

"If we can enter through that then it is not a weakness. Stop wasting our time."

"Roxcia."

"Tch."

"Thank you, Saintess. Anyway, as Miss Roxcia said, it is not a weakness. At least not if used as it is. But considering that the dome is oriented towards the west, that means we have-"

"That thing is round. How does it have an orientation? Do you even know what you are saying?"

"Miss Roxcia, please, allow me to finish speaking."

"What for? It doesn't help us in any way."

"How can you say that, hero?!!"

"Oh please, we all know you will just ask us to do this and that so just come and say it."

"…" She isn't wrong and it hurts to know that it is true but… "Miss Roxcia, I am sorry if we are depending on you too much b-"

"You don't have to be sorry." Now, miss Farner who was silent until now finally open her mouth. "We are doing it because we want to. So, you don't have to be sorry."

"You, of all people would say that? What a joke." Miss Roxcia attacks immediately after but to my surprise, there is no answer from the attacked side. "Of course, you wouldn't answer. You are too ashamed to."

"No, I just want to waste my time with an idiot."

"Me, an idiot?"

"No, wait. You shouldn't-"

Before I can prevent the disaster, Miss Roxcia releases her aura with the anger of a gnoll. The papers, the table, the tent…Everything goes flying away and barely get the time to grab my map before it flies off as well.

"You dare to insult me?!! You?!!"

"Roxcia, this is enough. If you don't stop right now, I will-"

"You won't do anything, Rebecca!!"

Well, this is going haywire.

"KRIEKKK!!!" Finally, something that will change our focus. I have never been happier to hear the Longinus' screams.

"Alright, listen up!! They are coming!! Commander Jean, your orders!!"

I was originally going to give him the command during the meeting but since it is like this, let's do it now. I am the Saintess's protector. I am not normally the one who should do all this. But since he is a bit lazy and open-minded compared to the others commanders of the eternal army, he left me do as I please. I am grateful for that but it has to stop now.

"Eh? You won't continue?!"

"Of course not. I am here to protect the Saintess. Directing the army is your role." Come on, man. Do something.

The dome seems to be clearing out…Or not, it just becomes brighter. They are coming.

"Huh, okay. Then let the heroes handle it then. In the meantime, we will organize the army."

"Hey!"

"What?" How can you say that with such a relaxed attitude when you heard what miss Roxcia just said. I look at him but it seems my anger doesn't tell him anything. Bastard!

"Just like I predicted."

Miss Roxcia is the first to leave. She walks by us without stopping her aura and the uncomfortable feeling I had ever seen she started becomes even stronger when she is near me. I would like to throw up right now but I can't.

"G-good luck." I manage to squeeze out some words of encouragement before she leaves but I am the only one to say something.

"I don't need it." She brushes it off though.

After she leaves, I turn around to see the other two' reactions but they are already flying above us.

"See you later, Saintess."

"Take care of her, okay?"

"We will try to, at least."
