THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

FARNER SAINT AXELANDRIA POV:

"Alright, let's go!!" 

There are so many things going on now that I don't know what to say. In less than a minute, so many people have appeared and so many questions are popping in my head that I feel dizzy. How come our first sister Genesis has sided with the Longinus? Is that really her? What happened to her face? What happened to her? Who is that woman who looks exactly like us? What is that other person Kevin just summoned out of nowhere?

"I didn't think I would get to beat you again, Maria!!" 

Tentacles grow out of Genesis's arm and flail everything around us. I move out of the way but I am too slow. My body is still sluggish. 

"Farner!!" I can't react in time, dammit!! 

Right when a tentacle reaches me, someone appears like the wind and severs it. 

"You!!!" The person Kevin summoned is standing in front of me. The power of her aura…this is pretty much the same as that god.. Could it be…Is she actually the one mother was talking about? 

"Will you be able to fight?" She turns around and talks to me while Excia and Roxcia land next to me. Her voice is enchanting, like a wave that carries you away gently. 

"Are you okay?!!" Excia starts healing me out of nowhere but I stop her. 

"I am okay. Don't worry." 

An explosion resounds right after I speak. When we look, the two guys who came from the sky are fighting Genesis and it is such a formidable fight I don't think we have our place in it. Still, I must help. If my sister has fallen, it is my duty to save her.

"Let's go and help them." 

"Who are we suppose to help?!" Roxcia is in utter panic. Her hands are trembling so much her staff keeps hitting the floor. Who are we supposed to help? Isn't that obvious?

"We are going to help them, of course." 

"But what if we are wrong? Maybe-"

"Are you guys finished?" As if to bring us back to reality, tentacles appear all around us while the person who protected me earlier called out to us. She cuts most of them but one manages to slip through and pierces the floor right between my legs. The floor turns grey all around as it does. This…This mustn't touch us or else we are dead. 

"Ahaha!! Come on, Maria!! You can do better than this!!" 

"N'donkeu!!" 

"I know!!" 

Those people, all of them are fighting and what are we doing? 

"You fucking brat!!" Another voice resounds, close to us. When I turn around, Kevin is a really bad posture.

"Kevin!!" 

"Leave him be!!" That person speaks again. 

We all stand up and counter the numerous tentacles that are coming. 

"Why are telling me to leave him?!!" And who are you anyway? That god, Varian, didn't have any horns or such ears. "He is my-"

"He doesn't have long to live. Focus on your own fight." She cuts off another tentacle while saying that and only now do I notice that she is using the same kind of script as Kevin. A raizen made of Angas. Though hers has a yellowish red color to it. 

"Doesn't have a long time to live?" Wait a minute… "Is it related to what god Varian said?" He said I should tell Kevin that the time has come.

"You have encountered my lord?" she turns around while knocking off another tentacle and when our eyes meet, a smile appears on her face. 

"I see. Then perhaps he was not so stupid after all."

"Farner, you should go the front! We will cover you!" Yes, you are right, Excia. The only thing I can do is to do my best and do what I do best right now. 

"Okay!!" 

"Arrow of justice!!" 

"Elemental storm!!" 

Under my sisters' scripts, the tentacles get destroyed and I pounce on Genesis through the gap created. Right before I reach her, the girl who looks just like me slashes with a raizen but she blocks it with one hand. The hit looked so powerful I am not sure I could have done anything. How come she manages to block it just like that? No, it is no use thinking about it. 

"Ahh!!" I strike her as well but just like that other woman, my blade is stopped by a single hand. 

Genesis then throws both in the same direction and fires a ray of Regas with her mouth. I manage to dodge it right after landing and pounce on her again, but the next moment, a tentacle comes from below, piercing through the floor. 

"Dammit!" I was tricked just like that! I can't evade this! No, I must do something! I can't die here! 

I place my hand to try to grab the tentacle before it hits my head but before I can even touch it, a small hexagon made of light appears between my face and the tentacle, making it bounce off. Where does it come fro…

"Speed up!!" The woman who looks just like us passes by me and continues as if what happened to me was nothing. But she is right. I don't have time to think too much. 

I run to Genesis and together with the other woman, we start attacking from every possible angle. I try to match her movements as much as I can and we coordinate our attacks better and better. But Genesis still keeps up. 

"Did you know, Maria? Ioll blew up because of the guy you rejected that time." 

Genesis starts talking about things that I don't understand even a little. Is she possibly talking about what happened to her? 

"Just because you have suff-"

"You, shut up." With just that, with just those words from her, I am thrown away. I land brutally on the floor a first time but then, somebody rescues me. 

When I look, a man is standing behind me. 

"Are you okay?" He raises his hand as he says that and the next thing I hear is an explosion at the place where Genesis was before.

"Who are you guys?" I know I shouldn't be asking this now but curiosity got the better of me. 

"It wouldn't help you to know, hero. Do what you must and strike true. That is your duty and now is the best time to carry it." 

This guy, I don't know why, but his voice is soothing somehow. It feels like I am talking to someone who knows exactly what I am going through. 

"Watch out!!" He pushes me away and while I am brought back to reality, a ray of Regas flies right between us. This woman, Genesis is really dangerous. We can't let her be. 

I slap my cheeks and regain some confidence. I can do this, I must do this. 

"Let's go, everyone!!" 

I jump on Genesis and a tentacle is blocked by another of mini walls of light. I wonder who is doing this. 

"The path to Victory!" I unleash my script at Genesis but her tentacles retract and block it. Then she flies above us and I follow her. 

"You aren't going anywhere!!" I slash using light Angas but she blocks my attack with her bare hands once again. 

The other woman appears next to me and strikes her as well. Unlike me, she manages to hit her shoulder but that's about it, Genesis doesn't scream or anything. 

"Good, at least you can land a hi-" Suddenly, another explosion covers her whole face and even throws us away. Thankfully, I learned how to fly or I would have landed on the floor. 

To my surprise, the other woman can do it as well.

"You!! Stop interup-" Genesis clears the smoke and it seems she isn't wounded in the slightest. Three other explosions hit her after that. 

"Now!!" 

"Okay!!" 

I follow the other woman inside the smoke created by the explosions and slashes right after her using Tremor. When I hit, the distinct sound of something really hard being hit rings in my ears. 

The smoke dissipates and I see it. What I just hit was Genesis's chest. But it was already slashed through the previous attacker so now, a giant crystal is exposed. It is the size of a human's head. And the way it shines, the glow it is emitting is so intense my brightest script would be pale in comparison. 

"You guys are annoying. Maria, why are you wasting your time trying to protect them while fighting me?" 

"Do I really have to answer?" 

The tentacles all come back to Genesis while she starts speaking with Maria, the other woman. This woman seems to be a hero as well. But why did I never hear of her? If Genesis knows her then perhaps she is an old one. Then where has she been all this time? Why didn't she come to help us? No, no, no. I must focus. Right now, the most important thing is Genesis. This crystal in her chest seems to be a great source of power. 

"Nah, not really." Genesis smiles and her tentacles start to vibrate vigorously. 

"Oh no!! Watch out!!" 

"But can you save them though?!" 

Right as Maria appears in front of me, I see a myriad of smalls tentacles coming. TO my surprise, none of them hits me but then, his voice resounds with agony.

"Argh!!" 

"Kevin?!!" 

When I turn to look in the direction of his scream, all I see him flying around after getting hit with full strength by one of those women he decided to fight 

"No!!"
