THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

FARNER SAINT AXELANDRIA POV:

"How dare yo-"

I fly to the woman who just hit him but something grabs my foot and tries to throw me away. I turn around and cut it. One of Genesis's tentacles wiggles in the air when I look back at what was grabbing me.

"Tch!" I can't even help him in such a situation?! What was the point of coming back then?!! "Just go down already!!" 

I fly to Genesis but this time, she grabs my sword and smiles. 

"I do wonder. How did he manage to keep you alive? I am sure I have absorbed a hero's soul."

"Shut up!" I try to retrieve my sword but it breaks. Just like that, by closing her hand, Genesis just broke my sword that I took care of for more than four years. You little!!

"And now, you go down." 

"Not so fast!" I turn around and kick her face but it had barely any effect. I fly away from her before she can grab my foot as well. I don't want to imagine how it would end in her hands. 

"Maria!! We must hurry!! There isn't enough time!!" 

I suddenly hear the voice of the guy who helped me earlier. What are they talking about? 

"I know!! Stop pushing me!!" Maria's voice sounds really angry. 

A wave of Angas hit me from behind and below after that. Before I can even turn my head to look at what is going on, a flash passes before me and hits Genesis with such power the shockwave destabilizes me. 

"Woah!!" I fall to the ground and the next thing I hear is an explosion so powerful my ears rings for a second because of it. 

"F…ner!! Duck!!" I then hear Excia's voice and without knowing what she is trying to say, I obey her command. I feel the hot wind created by her arrows after that. 

This is turning into utter chaos. I must do something fast. 

"What are still doing there?" The woman who was summoned by Kevin then lands near me and I see a tentacle getting cut right in front of my eyes. She is right, what am I even doing here? 

"Will you give up?" The woman extends her hand to me and when I look at her, her eyes somehow make me feel nostalgic. She has the same eyes as Kevin when he came to save us that day. 

"Can I really give up?" I take her hand and stand up. 

"You have the right to give up. After all, he knows he cannot be forgiven for what he did." 

"Then why did he do it in the first place?" Another tentacle comes and we both cut it. "Was it so hard to tell us about it?!! Why does he always shoulder everything alone?!" 

I cut through everything that Genesis sends at us while the sounds of explosions and shockwaves are resonating everywhere around. 

"I cannot give you a satisfactory answer but I do know one thing: he never stopped loving you two." 

"Tatiana!!-"

A voice resounds on my left side after the woman speaks. The voice is imbued with such hatred that I am almost forced to turn and look. And as I do, the woman disappears gradually. Then I see Kevin using such a powerful script that the part of the stage where he is standing and the rubbles of the coliseum on that side get vaporized. He then falls backward like a rock. The other woman who was fighting him is still up but she doesn't attack him though. After his attack, a sudden and complete calm manifests itself everywhere.

"W-what was that?"

"I wonder as well, Excia." Excia lands next to me and as if it was the sign to stop the fight. The tentacles all disappear. 

"You guys must run away!!" Maria lands in front of us but before she can say anything else, she disappears as well. What is happening?

"Hm…What is the meaning of this, Tatiana?" Genesis's voice brings us back to reality once again but before we can move, strings made of Regas come out from everywhere and bind us. 

"Argh!!" Those things burn as if hot charcoal was placed on our skins! I try everything I can and put as much strength as possible but I can't break them. They seem to come from Genesis's hand. I see strings going from her hand to the ground.

The woman who was just called by Genesis pounces on her while we are restrained but before she can even get close, Genesis raises her hand and the woman is stopped in mid-air. She starts floating while her body seems to be restrained by an invisible force.

"Ahhh!!" I overcome the pain and push with my legs while pulling with my arms but like a simple child, I am forced to kneel completely. 

"So, can you tell me? What have you done?" Genesis brings that woman right in front of her with a simple movement of her hand. When the woman is there, she smiles and with great difficulty, brings out a dagger and drops it on the floor. 

"I am waiting for your answer." 

"Fuck you, bitch." The woman smiles and the next thing I see is Genesis touching her forehead. The woman gets disintegrated into ashes. 

Her ashes scatter with the wind as if there was never anything there and only two crystals remain. Genesis eats them and then looks at us.

"Okay, now, heroes. What should I do with you? I was afraid that you three would be a far more of a pain to deal with but it seems I was wrong. You guys are weak. Way too weak. Or maybe it is because you weren't given enough time?" 

"Wh-what are you talking about?" Excia tries to stand up as well but just like me, she can't do anything. I push once again but nothing works. I can't even use my aura anymore. Why?!! Why am I so useless at the most important times?!! 

"Well, I was thinking of killing you all then use your souls to locate mother's realm and go there but I am not sure it will work. I tried with the previous heroes and it didn't work so I might just use you guys to nurture some stronger Longinus. You guys destroyed most of them after all." 

"Why are you doing this?" Genesis looks at me with disappointment and sorrow.

"And here I thought you would understand without asking. Anyway, I am not here to tell stories. Who wants to die first? I am generous enough to let you guys decide." 

"Argh!!" The strings become tighter around us and our skin gets burned so much I can smell it in the air already.
