The Adventurer System

Yumiro literally shook after seeing the true setting of the tenth floor, more likely, he couldn't believe what his eyes witnessed right now.

"The heck? Eh, what is this?" Yumiro kept asking himself.

Inside was so cold, moreover, this was the opposite temperature of the ninth floor. The surface was slippery as the floor was made by the polish ice. Over him the ceiling was full of cornice it seems in just one strong collision those cornices will fall and could pierce his body since it had the sharpness to penetrate also the force that gravity could give.

The tremendous coldness froze everything that the normal eyes could see, however, the main question here was where was the origin of it.

As soon as Yumiro will going to enter the tenth floor, Asarki stopped him with her words as she wanted to warn him.

"Grim, wait!" She raised her voice so Yumiro was able to hear him.

He whirled around as her words caught his attention. "What is it?" Yumiro responded with a calm tone, nevertheless, his expression earlier was easily faded away.

"You see the place is full of ice, so which means as an adventurer there is downside like the ninth floor." She explained with a polite tone.

"Yeah, yeah, so tell me what is it? We don't need that I'm always gonna stop just to hear information. Tell it directly there's no problem about it." Yumiro wasn't annoyed, way more look like he just wanted to didn't consume any amount of time for small chattering like this.

Her eyelids widened. "Oh, I apologize for that, I literally don't want to waste time." After she bowed her head Asarki promptly told the information that Grim Draigh. "The thing here, the place is too cold so your movements will be affected, even though your health points wouldn't decrease but still your agility would slow down."

In his mind, the surface was slippery and the extreme coldness could slow him down. At this point, he had an idea what the specific core he will use, yet it will change if the monster on this floor eliminates those possibilities.

"Okay, I understand. There's something that you want to tell?" He asked.

Asarki shook her head as it seemed she was slowly managed this man's bad attitude. "So far, nothing. You're good to go, the following information that I see I will send through the party function, Good luck!" She cheerfully said, then mind his harsh words.

He clicked his tongue as he didn't use to cheer in past four years, although he received when he was competing, now, he felt annoyed since he knew it will change easily once there was something they dislike.

He won't look back, then darted his eyes to the straight path where the monsters were possible to respawn. There were some cornices on the ground that could be a threat if the battle here was started.

No lamps neither a torch that could light the entire area, just the whiteness of the ice helped him to glance around, although there was some partial darkness, but it was fine by him.

"The monster here is the first evolution of grasshopper, so what is the exact reason why this whole place is made by ice. I need to be careful in this one." Yumiro wondered since the grasshopper origin was the wild.

A deafening silence perceived by his ears, no any other suspicious sounds.

His feet were already the surface. "Oi! It's so cold, jeez." It came to his mind to get back to Asarki's location, however, this expedition will just be getting longer.

Asarki laughed when she saw it. "Why he didn't have any shoes used? Even it's a low grade, it still useful in this kind of situation."

The first time you entered the VR world, the clothes you wore that attire you will use. Since Yumiro didn't use any kind of shoes, his character just used his bare feet the entire he played this game.

"Where this man came from? He's totally clueless about this game." She slowly rubbed her chin thinking might his extreme power suddenly vanished because of the character owner. "What I'm thinking? I need to teach him even he had a bad attitude. I'll promise after we leave this dungeon he will learn all the things about this game! Yeah, that's right! We need to support everyone here!" She fully decided now, it seems no one could stop her.

In his 15 meters of a walk, sometimes he will fall but he always stabilized his balance. "No, I hate this place it's hard to move. How I can lure the monster power if it's like this, tch!" Despite the situation he had, he continued his expedition until thousand of white particles suddenly appeared in front of him.

"What is this?" Since it was the first he saw it, Yumiro pondered carelessly as he wanted to know what will happen if it faded away.

"Grim! Stay away from that! The monster is going to respawn!" Asarki warned him by using the party function.

His mind got back in its original state, as someone yelled inside his mind. "Eh, the monster?"

"Yes! That's the monster so step back right now! Because there's a chance it will suddenly attack you, and the downside of it, the monsters are invulnerable for the last 10 seconds which means you can never land any damages in that time!"

In the VR world, if the monsters were just respawning they will have 10 seconds duration to sustain their body from the adventurers. The moderators created this kind of settings, to avoid the instances the monsters would die in one second because the adventurers awaited the monsters to respawn.

After her words, Yumiro swiftly stepped back since his eyes already perceived the huge flickering shadow of the monsters that come closer to him.

He knew the monster had a high speed, so he used one of his basic skills to move away from the monster. But the unexpected scenes always happened when you were hurried.

Yumiro suddenly slipped and rolled many times to the ground as there was some partial wet in the place since it was melted by his skills.

"Damn it! I can't perfectly control my body." He immediately regained his footing as he couldn't last from the cold.

10 minutes had passed, then the monster in 15 meters distance was already fully respawned. So he dragged his index finger into it for 3 seconds to get basic information about this monster.

A new blue view screen appeared right before his eyes with the indication of the monster's specific information.

[Monster name: White Grasshopper HP: 550/550

- This monster is the first evolution of grasshopper, by the upgrade the monster acquired two natural elements the plant and the ice, however, each element are not split by 50:50 it is 30:70. 30% from the plant and 70% from the ice which means the monster is suited for this place.]

[White Grasshopper- it can deal +110 damage in a basic attack along with the freezing effect because of the monster's passive skill.]

[White Grasshopper skill(s)- [Slash] is a basic skill that can deal +120 damage in an instant. [Tempest blade] by crossing its two-blade the monster can release a magical ice blade that can deal +150 true damage. Monster passive skill [Freezing effect] this skill can freeze an adventurer for 10 seconds. Since the white grasshopper had natural ice on its blade, so before it activated it needs the ice blade will hit the adventurer for 5 times. It had 5 stacks before will trigger.]

In front of him, a monster with glaring red eyes, 6 legs, and 2 of them had blades that were made from the ice, and the rest of its body was totally white, more likely, it was sleeping for a hundred years in a freezer.

"Grim! Do you understand the monster's ability?"

Yumiro frowned his brows as Asarki yelled again that seemed closer to his ears. "Can you lower your voice? It's itching my ears. Yes, I understand."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Grim. I just want to become more useful in this expedition." Asarki replied with a low voice.

Yumiro knew his party member was offended by his words, however, he looked like he hasn't cared about it.

"Why? Do you have any plan?" He asked while having shivering legs because of the temperature.

"None yet, but stick to lure out the monster's power, then carefully choose the suited core for this situation." She explained with the same tone.

"Yeah, I understand. Tell me if you notice something, Asarki." His voice was calmed, then observed the monster's first attack. "What now..."

In the 15 meters, the white grasshopper stands by glaring at Yumiro while having a malicious smile on its cold place.

"It smirked again..."

Bam! Bam!

Then suddenly, the monster positioned its 2 feet that had blade made from the ice. After that, the other 4 feet were perfectly bent.

Swoosh!

The monster charged into him with exceeded speed, way more looked like the monster used its blade to slid to the freezing surface.

"It still possible in this world?"
