The Adventurer System

Chapter 106 - Tenth Floor

Boom!

The entire corridor was shaken as there was physical skill released where the two adventurers gathered.

Bam!

Yumiro landed, then positioned his arm on his forehead to covered his eyes from the dust that dripped directly to them.

"Grim, what are you doing? Why did you attack the ceiling?" Asarki responded, then gently patted her shoulder to remove the dust stick at her.

"Tch! I thought we could advance to the next floor if destroyed this." He clicked his tongue as he figured out how thick this brick ceiling. "It's impossible, the ceiling has a lot of layers."

"Brr!" Asarki laughed, but she immediately covered her mouth as Grim Draigh glared at her.

"Why are you laughing?" Yumiro asked with a low voice.

She still held her mouth as she couldn't let herself not laugh. "Nothing, nothing, Grim. Brr" she shook her head along with her left hand, trying to convince him to proceed in their expedition.

He shrugged his shoulders since he was clueless about Asarki's reaction. "If you say so..." Yumiro didn't bother his mind to pursue Asarki to tell the reason why she was laughing, he just traipsed then leave her behind.

Asarki was dumbfounded at the wide shoulders of Grim Draigh, while having grinned on her face. "What inside his mind? He tried to destroyed concrete structures, moreover, he even didn't know that is protected by a strong barrier that stopping the adventurer to skip to the next floor." After those words, she hurriedly followed him to maintain the 50 meters radius distance so she could still receive an experience even though she didn't kill any kind of monsters.

Yumiro had 7 minutes before he could reach the endpoint of the 100 meters corridor that way more looked like a spiral tunnel. Inside his mind, he will use this time to recover his other status in the meantime as the path here wasn't that kind of hard although it was tight still it will not consume his fatigue.

"If my just plan works out, I can clear this dungeon in no time." He murmured, then secretly glimpsed at his behind seeing Asarki was already got a serious expression on her face. "She's laughing earlier, why she now looks miserable?"

The water drops and the footsteps were the only sounds they could hear. However, Asarki knitted her forehead as she wondered for some reason.

"We are ahead by 50 meters on the ninth floor, but why suddenly there are a lot of water drops here? It's impossible in this kind of moist could still reach here." She kneader her chin with curious eyes. "It has a different origin, or don't you tell me the tenth floor has the same heat as the ninth floor? I hope is not." She said with a shivered tone as she didn't want to repeat the scenario that happened on the ninth floor.

...

7 minutes had passed, then Yumiro suddenly as the blue gate block his way. "Once I enter here, a new aggressive monster will approach." He took a deep breath, just to prepare his mind and body for the new battle.

"Oi! Why it's so cold here..." Asarki responded, then crossed her arms to embrace her body, so she could lessen the coldness she felt.

Yumiro feels the same way. "She is right, why this dungeon has a different temperature. Don't tell me, inside of it is full of snow."

When the moment, Yumiro will open the door Asarki stopped him by using a question. "What is your plan? We need to use a logical and precise plan, we are should not repeat the same mistake." Since the jaguar core wasn't the best core he used, so Asarki was bothered if this man will not going to use a core that could counter the monster's ability.

"Do you have any idea, inside your mind?" Yumiro asked her straight to the point.

She nodded since she saw what specific monster Grim Draigh fought on the fifth floor. It was a green grasshopper that had a keen blade on both arms. "Yes, but you still remember the monster you fought on the fifth floor?"

"Of course, the grasshopper? So..." He replied with a stolid expression on his face.

"So... You should think about what kind of monster's core you needed to use before you enter. Is not for only you, it's for both of us since if you perfectly learned how to use your skill right, we should always avoid the unexpected worst-case scenario." She explained with a delightful smile.

Yumiro rubbed his head as he knew he always used a core depends on what kind of monsters approached in front of him. "I made that, but it can't help sometimes that the monster has an outstanding attack." He explained himself.

"That's actually my point! If you're going to use your transformation skill try to watch the monster's movement or how it will react with your attack. I admitted that you've talent in close combat, however, this the VR world a small physical like that will not help." In the fight scene she witnessed, she could tell Grim Draigh has a martial talent that seemed like he owns it.

Yumiro knitted his forehead as he understood what Asarki trying to say. "So... once I enter this floor, I should use my basic attack before I use my skill?"

Clap!

Asarki clapped as she was glad that he finally understands. "Yes, never forget it. To avoid possible problems, okay?" She barely lifted her head, then smile at him with glistening bluish eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, let's go..."

When all the things were settled, Yumiro placed his hands on the freezing blue gate. It was too cold, however, it seemed he could endure it.

"Ahhhh." Yumiro frowned his brows as he noticed that gate wasn't moving even a single inch. "It's no use, I'm supposed to use my skill." He took a glance at his behind. "Stepped back, that gate needs a force before it open."

She nodded with a smile as she discovered this man was started to think before he acts. "Okay, Grim. You can do it."

[Physical transmission!]

His arms were gleamed also on his both legs. He realised by using every part of his body could maximize his strength in an instant.

He placed again his hand on the blue gate, while his legs were barely opened. He bent his body, then pushed his strength upwards towards his arms.

Creek!

The sound of clothes that ripping apart was perceived by their ears as the blue gate was slowly opened. It seemed there was an object behind that made it too hard to open.

Boom!

One minute had passed, a crystal exploded when Yumiro successfully opens the blue gate.

"Damn it! What the heck is this?"
