The Adventurer System

The Guild Selection was still happening at the Adventurer Stadium where thousands of adventurers gathered to witness who were the adventurers will be given a chance to join among the top ten guilds.

On the other hand, someone piqued Yumiro's attention, or easy to say, it was Houna the woman could attack precisely and didn't commit any single mistake. For him, she was one of the main threats in this big event.

Even though he was not showing his true power to the others aside from Asarki, yet, he must not lower his guard if he really wanted to win in this fight.

Ding!

And all of a sudden, the bell rang and it spread throughout the stadium. Also, it was loud enough to pause the audience for a second and darted their attention where was the origin of that sound.

It was Gino who attracted everyone's attention after he noticed that audience's actions were not appropriate. The sound was just for them to stop, so they could peacefully start the upcoming intense third match.

"I know that all of you get fired up with that bottle, but hold your throttle a bit because we have a more interesting match that would happen today." Gino reminded them, then back to the high surface as the two contestants for the platform.

To begin with, on the left side, a man had blue hair, black eyes, average skin tone, but the most things you could easily notice about him were his red sparkling robes and the long magic staff that looked like a lance. His name was Colin, currently a level 29 mage.

This man was one of the prospects in the guild selection not because Colin had a handsome face, it was because of his outstanding ability that you could see once he fight. Colin belonged to Goda's party.

On the other side, was also a man that had an average physique, had dark black hair, black eyes, and wearing nerd glasses and green robes. His name was Hiro, a level 29 mage, belonged to Lorith's party.

The robe in this game stands as the item that could help them to replenish their mana even little by little. So you could now answer why was everyone was wearing a robe.

In his grasp was a green grimoire that had a golden color on the outline. It seemed it was the item Hiro use to regulate usually of his skills.

The first time Yumiro saw it was when he saved Uzui and fight him inside the Lynx dungeon. The second time when Harun helped Chirla from the Lancer.

Based on his observation, a mage that wielded a grimoire was in the upper hand as it can cast different kinds of magic skills. Yet, he can't erase the possibility Colin was a tough mage, he could easily tell it by just looking at him.

The two gave them bowed to each other to show their respect, at the same time, their bodies were coated by their mana, knowing that this battle start at any moment.

"Let's have a good fight." Hiro greeted him in a deep tone.

"Likewise, Hiro, show me here what all you have got." Colin responded to him with the same expression.

THE BATTLE STARTS!

As soon as the countdown on the elevated screen in front of them was down to zero. The two contestants were alarmed as they swiftly made a distance to each other as it was the best position for them to perfectly cast their skill and no one could interfere with them.

[Shower meteorite!]

Colin attained the position first, without making any second thought he uplifted his staff and swung it downwards to cast his magic skill.

A red-orange magic circle appeared over Hiro, even though didn't see the actual skill of Colin, still, he already felt the intense fire coming from the magic circle. So he knelt one of his knees on the surface while his grimoire was automatically turning its page.

[Seashell!]

And all of a sudden, the grimoire emitted dazzling blue light as Hiro cast a skill that could help him to block the attack. Or to be simple, Colin's body right now was enveloped by a metallic cooling shell that would help to replenish the fire that he was going to receive.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As expected, a continued explosion transpired in the stadium as Colin's meteorite was hitting the place where was Hiro located.

Tsk!

Colin clicked his tongue, didn't expect that Hiro could easily think of an idea that how he was going to survive in this attack.

Zing!

He canceled the skill, knowing that it was just a waste of mana. But it never ended to this, as Colin already knew what was the right to do to force Hiro to come out of his strong defensive skill.

[Earth dance!]

He pointed his magic staff towards the surface, then after he swung it upwards. The vast platform was started to crumble, at the same time, you could see the fault that heading to Hiro's location.

Boom!

The tough shield was completely broken and its parts scattered that made the place glitter. Moreover, his eyes were widened when Hiro wasn't inside that shell.

"Where did he go?" He asked himself with a weak tone, wondering how does man quickly disappeared in his sight until... He heard the sound of a magic cast.

[Arrow rain!]

Above him were numerous arrows that made him from the ice. The numbers of it and the sharpness were enough to inflict higher damages to him.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

He was immediately stepping back also, side stopped as he could see Hiro's arrows were hitting to the place where he was positioned earlier. Aside from that, his main problem was not giving him a chance to cast his skill that could stop him, so he was just using a basic magic skill like a [Fire ball] hoping that he could stop him by just using it.

[Wind fall!]

Hiro was unstoppable after he cast wind magic to his feet which helped him to elevate through the mid-air.

[Avalanche!]

It appeared that Hiro used that skill just to increase the new skill that he was going to release. A white magic circle that had a side of 75 meters radius appeared over them, it was big enough to hit Colin no matter how he tried to escape.

Fuck!

Colin was well savvy that within the magical power released by Hiro, he couldn't survive. So he decided to stop from his swift pace and start by sliding on the platform. His eyes were only darted to Hiro, didn't expect that the nerd guy was hiding so much magical power.

[Wind arrow!]

In his grasp was the magic staff and he was holding it horizontally, then pulling transparent mana or easy to say like a bow's strings.

In his mind, it was the only skill that he had that could range Hiro within this distance. Three wind arrows were concentrating in his magic staff, it was strong as even he was slowly pushing back.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

As soon as he could not take the power that was given by his own skill, Colin fires his arrows. He was confident the arrows were going to hit Hiro before he could release his massive skill.

[Sneak!]

In just a blink of an eye, Hiro vanished in Colin's perspective after Hiro used his skill grimoire and copied one of Colin's party member skills which was the [Sneak]. This skill was allowing the user to immediately attain a distance within the one hundred meters radius.

Before Colin could react in this skill, Hiro already swung his right arm that had keen ice. He slashed Colin's neck and had a serious expression on his face.

Splash!

Blood was splashing on his face, he then swung his right arm to remove the stain the left on it. Yes, in under five minutes, there was a party that received a new point.

Hiro spun around, walking towards his party members' section, even though Colin was standing up straight, he continued. Since he knew this man would eventually fall to the ground as he was certain that he hit his vitals point.

Thud!

As expected, Colin was fell to the ground along with his shivering body. Aside from that, Colin was one of the new strongest mages that arose in the virtual world, and he was just defeated by an unknown nerd guy.

Who's that guy?! He easily defeated Colin in less than five minutes!

This embarrassing!

It seemed the Guild Captains would change their rooster after they saw the nerd guy!

Those were the comments of the adventurers who could not believe with the result of this match.

LORITH'S PARTY RECEIVED THE ONE POINT! AND NOW THE SCORE IS 2-1 IN FAVOR OF LORITH'S PARTY.

Now was Yumiro was watching the actual fight of one versus one, he can now say that there were some skilled adventurers that could match his power even though his basic status was on a different level. In his mind, he will never get defeated by the power, but he can defeat in terms of fighting style and how they perfectly plan this match.
