The Adventurer System

In front of him, the huge door was forcefully opened by a strong explosion that the monster released before it completely died.

He sighed of relief as he succeeded to stop the monster using its skill that probably will summon another numerous monster with an unknown skill.

"Hais... I should sit here."

He opened the function screen to see his character's situation right now.

Fatigue: 70/161

"I should rest in this spot in the meantime, my body will not accept if I take more attacks." He said while his grasp was the loot he got from the monster.

Its size was just 2 centimeters but its appearance was rounded and it way more tougher than the monster's core.

Crckk!

"Ouch!" He tried to bite the synergy stone, but it didn't work after all. "The system said, it uses to upgrade an item, but what kind of item?" He wondered at the same time looking in the 20 meters corridor if there something suspicious.

Now at this point, Yumiro regretted why gave his ring to Celine as his HP was slow to regenerate if without that ring or any HP potions.

"10 HP in every 30 seconds, and 20 fatigue in every 1 minute. It's much good than isn't going to recover." He said while he felt there was some creature watching at him.

The result on the screen was still the same, there was no adventurer near to him.

"No, I'm sure of it. There's a creature watching but whom?" At this rate, Yumiro couldn't lower his guard because there was a chance the monster probably approaches him.

He strolled his eyes, he then seen again the golden glowing light that seemed to be a creature's eyes.

He planned to yell but he remembered might be the main reason why this creature was kept hiding from him. So he breathed slowly to calm his emotion.

He opened up his eyes, "What do you need from me?" He said with a stolid expression, but he knew that the creature could hear it since his voice was echoed all over the place.

But it still the same, the creature's eyes that he saw vanished. It seemed it used the dark to continue hiding its presence.

"If you have no plan to reveal yourself, there is no reason to stay here." Yumiro slowly pushed himself into a stood-up position, just using provocation words even though he didn't know if it understood his words that spitting out of his mouth.

Ihk!

Yumiro winked at the same he was surprised by the unknown creature's response with a mumbled words.

He has a malicious smiled on his face. 'It's working, but what is my next step? If I scared it once again there is a high tendency it will run away.'

To would not scare the creature Yumiro position far away from it, also in his mind, it was a perfect time so he wasn't bored while waiting for his recovery.

"I'm just sitting here, I'll not do anything." He said slowly as he saw the creature's eyes were started to show up once again. "What do you need from me? Also, I realised that you kept an eye on me." He asked then awaited for the creature to respond.

Thud!

"Ouch!" He held his head as there was a small rock hit on him. But, he wasn't mad since he felt the creature had no intention to hurt him.

"Why did you do that?" He asked with a weak tone.

Ihk!

The creature threw a small rock, but at the same time it wasn't aimed at him, it was the place where the torchlight could reach.

"What is it?"

Thud!

Another small rock was landed in the same area seemingly there was meaning why the creature did this.

Yumiro knitted his forehead as he understood something. He straight forwards his left arm while pointing his index finger to the area where the rock landed.

"You want me to go there?"

He didn't hear any kind of words, just the small rock that landed in the same area. He nodded then sauntered closer to the area.

"I already did what you like. Now, tell me why kept following me?"

After he spits those words, he just sat while the torch beamed his red eyes. Aside from that, he saw the creature was coming closer to him, but he felt it was intimidated by something.

"Don't worry, even you're monster I don't have a plan to hurt you as long as you will not hurt me." Based on his words, he was assured of it since there were no benefits if he kills a little creature that didn't commit any harmful action to him.

Yumiro swallowed, when the creature revealed itself, it has golden yellow light that seemed he saw before when the first time he played this game.

"Ihk please don't hurt me," The creature said then fully revealed itself.

Yumiro squinted once, after seeing why there was a little girl inside this perilous place. However, this little girl had a shivered body that seemed she was afraid of something.

"Yes, I won't hurt you. But what are you doing in this place." He said with a calm tone. Also, he never tried to touch her as there was a chance that the little girl will be afraid of his actions.

She uncontrollably shook his head while her tears fell on her face. "I don't know either, I don't know why I'm here. I just woke up and I'm in this place." She struggling that there something pinched her head.

"Please, calm down. It will not help you in this situation. Moreover, it can lure the monster to our location, so please be quiet and take a deep breath." Yumiro has an uncomfortable smiled on his face as he didn't know what he needed to do to stop this little girl from crying.

The little girl just stared at him with worried eyes and eventually dashed closer to him then she tightly embraced him. It seemed she was afraid of the monster.

"Please... help me to get out of this place." She said with a shivered stone.

Yumiro was stunned by what the little girl did, in his mind, he wanted to push it but after seeing her face his mind suddenly changed. He slightly patted her head, he knew by doing this it could calm anyone.

"Yeah, I'll help you. But, for now, just rest a little so you can rest.

10 minutes had just easily passed, and the little girl seemed to stop from crying. "If you're okay now, can you stop choking my neck it's hard to breathe?" Yumiro said while his head was reddened.

"Oh, I'm sorry, mister." The little girl slowly stepped back and now Yumiro could clearly see her appearance.

The little girl had silky black hair, a red face, and yellow eyes. By just looking at her seemed to be 9 years old.

Yumiro flinched as he saw Amiya's face with this girl, it was actually the same that make his heart warm.

"Amiya..." He said, but it easily faded away when the girl flinched.

"What is it, mister?" The little girl said with her curious eyes.

He shook his head with a smiled on his face. "Nothing, I'm sorry. I just remember my sister's face."

"Is that so..." She seemed calm now and didn't bother to have a conversation with this man.

He reclined his back on the wall, where he could feel the torch's mild heat. "What's your name? Are you an adventurer from the earth?" He asked.

She was clueless about the questions, but the only thing she knew was her name. "I'm Yuki, mister. Earth, what is that?" Yuki replied.

He quickly understood that this girl didn't come from the earth, probably it was an NPC.

'Hmm... It seemed it's the main reason why the system can't detect her.'

"Oh, you're Yuki. Nice to meet you, I'm Grim Draigh" He replied with an uncomfortable smile. He then followed up with another question. "Tell me, why are you here?"

And again, she shook her head. "I don't even now, mister Grim Draigh, the only thing that I know it's my name other than that I can't remember."

Yumiro kneaded his chin smoothly, thinking the possible way why she was here, but it was his first game he had no idea.

"The reason why I follow you because I want to get out in this place, and I saw that you can easily kill the monster."

"Oh, I see... By using my strength you can safely escape in this perilous place." His eyes got serious.

"I'm sorry, mister Grim Draigh for using you. I have no capabilities to survive with this place, I'm sorry again." Her tears were suddenly rolling down on her red cheek.

Yumiro flinched and came back in its original state. "No, don't apologize. Please, don't cry my eyes are just like that, I'm not totally mad about that."

"Really?"

"Of course, this is the best way to survive in this place. If I'm in your situation, I'll do the same thing." He patted again her head.

"Please, save me! I'll give you this." In her grasp was a golden necklace that seemed a valuable item.

He closed her hand. "No, just keep it. I'll be doing it for free.. Let's both of us leave this place."
