The Blue Eyes

Chapter 210 - DANGEROUS AND BLOODY

There weren't even many people at the funeral. In total, there were only three people who sent 7 souls to their final resting place.

Kris didn't want other people to know about the incident, so he held the funeral in secret in a secluded location around the mountain. He felt sorry for not being able to give his brothers a grande funeral in the city, but he didn't want to take the risk.

The incident related to AZURE was a huge blow for them, and they didn't want to risk anything again. Someone targetted the blue-eyed robot, and that meant that person knew about AZURE's secret. They couldn't be reckless before they could find the culprit.

"You have to hire new men soon, Steve. I need at least two strong men to guard Kevin."

The object of the conversation, Kevin, turned to his lover while furrowing his brows. "Why should I be guarded, Kris? I'm not weak, and I can protect myself well."

The caramel strands seemed to be a little longer, and they flew beautifully with the mountain winds that were stronger and slightly harsher. The owner of the locks expected such a response from his lover, so he had prepared an answer.

"You no longer have your power with you, Kev. Some people might target us now, and we shouldn't take any risks. Moreover, I can't always be with you all the time because you need to work in the laboratory almost every day, so I have to make sure that you will be alright."

"I'm not a young master from a rich household who needs to be protected, Kris."

"You are the master of my household, and I have to protect you, Kevin."

Kevin could only blush when he heard his lover's words. Even at a time like this, Kris couldn't control his mouth. Kris was too smart with his mouth, and that irritated him sometimes.

Not that Kevin didn't like it, but he was just flustered. Moreover, they were not alone now. They were not the only ones in the area because Steve was there with them as well, so Kevin was so embarrassed by his lover's flirting.

"You don't have to look for bodyguards for me, Steve. I don't have anything in my body anymore, so no one will target me."

Kevin decided to ignore Kris and spoke to Steve instead. The purple-haired guy looked awkward in between the couple, so he could only smile sheepishly at Kevin before glancing at Kris.

Kris noticed the glance, and he sighed heavily. "Alright," he decided. "You don't have to look for several guards for Kevin, but you still need to find some men to guard our house and also the orphanage, Steve. And make sure to order more sophisticated weapons from the weapons factory. We don't know what kind of weapons were used by the robbers, but we have to make sure that we have good weapons too."

Steve nodded his head firmly, but Kevin looked confused when he heard Kris's order.

"Wait, Kris," he immediately called out to his lover. "We are living in a luxurious apartment building, so there must be surveillance cameras catching the robbers, right? Have you checked the footage?"

"The robbery happened last night, so I haven't checked the surveillance camera footage," Kris replied to his lover's question before turning his gaze to Steve. "Check the footage, Steve. Even though they're professional robbers, it would be hard for them to avoid the cameras in the building. Check the footage on every floor of the building. I'm sure it will be easier for us to catch the culprit by doing that."

Steve, as Kris's loyal subordinate, quickly nodded his head as a response to his boss's order.

No one spoke after Steve gave a curt nod at Kris's command, and they were engulfed in silence as they stared at the grave in front of them. Seven innocent people had been lying in the grave, and it was very painful for them to stare at the silent grave.

"You can get back in the car first, Steve. I need to talk to Kris about a few things first."

Kris was a bit surprised when he heard Kevin suddenly talking to Steve, but he didn't argue with his lover and just nodded his head at Steve, nonverbally asking the purple-haired man to leave them alone.

Steve returned the nod before excusing himself to go back to the car.

Now there were only Kevin and Kris in the graveyard area.

"I think we'd better keep this matter from Blue and Jack, Kris. It's not like I don't believe in them, but maybe it will only scare Blue if she knows the truth. I want us to secretly investigate this case without involving both Blue and Jack."

Kevin didn't look at Kris when he voiced out his opinion, and he just continued to stare at the void ahead of them. Kris, on the other hand, fixated his gaze on Kevin without any intention to tear his gaze away.

"You are just worried about their safety, aren't you?"

Kevin was still like a glass tube in front of Kris, and he could read his lover's mind easily. Kevin had not even voiced out his original intention, but Kris managed to find it out.

Knowing that Kris had guessed it correctly, Kevin finally turned his gaze to his lover. "If possible, I'd like to get Blue and Jack off our team, Kris," he said softly.

The statement made Kris frown in confusion. "What do you mean, Kev? What's your real intention?"

Kris was able to read Kevin's mind before, but now he assumed that Kevin had another idea that made him confused. He didn't even dare to guess what was on his lover's mind now.

"Blue and Jack have returned to normal human beings, and I think they should live peacefully as humans without worrying about this issue. This case is dangerous and bloody, Kris.. Don't involve them in this case again."
