The Commoner Consort: The Country's Respected Empress

After searching everywhere around the Court room, Kalki throws his sword frustrated and stands in the centre of the Court room.

He looks around sternly.

'There is no one here... Then how was I-'.

He realizes something and checks his neck. He rubs his neck hurriedly and looks at his palm having bloodstains.

He gets stunned and looks around confused.

'How can this be possible?!'

He walks out of the Court room and enters his chamber ignoring every servants greeting him.

He stops before the mirror and checks his neck carefully. He frowns suspiciously "It's not fatal. Who would leave me without killing me? And how did they manage to escape from me?!".

Kalki is lost in thoughts looking at the small cut in his neck.

The girl declares after clearing the darkness around them "You are hurt"

Maya who was curiously listening to the girl, frowns "Hurt?".

She checks herself and looks at Sarah walking towards her.

'How could I be? I escaped from that arrogant man-'.

The girl says pointing at her neck "Seems that man is really unaware of the consequences of hurting you, Little-".

The girl smiles sheepishly and finishes the sentence "Sister Maya".

Maya looks at her mockingly and wipes her neck.

'Fortunately, it's just a small cut!'

Maya asks "How old are you?".

Knowing nothing about what was happening around her, Sarah answers with a frown "Didn't you know that we are of same age?".

Maya looks at the girl before her and purses her lips.

'Now how would I manage this?'

She shakes her head confused "I was just ..asking randomly. Forget it!".

The girl smirks "I am invisible and inaudible. Please rest assured Sister Maya!".

Maya nods while walking with Sarah and frowns 'Could it be any magic?'.

The girl smiles "It is! And about the Incomplete Soul, you have to find your exact opposite half!".

Sarah interrupts "What happened in the Imperial court? Did something happen?".

Maya gets irked hearing her and says "Do not talk about him in front of me, Sarah".

She is about to enter the chamber but Sarah stops her by holding her hand. Seeing Maya's exhausted face, Sarah insists "I can help you, Maya. If there is anything I could do, I will do it. Tell me how should I help you?".

The girl laughs "She is stupid. She can't help you!".

Maya looks at the girl sternly and holds Sarah's hand walking with her into the chamber "Let's go from here. That's what I want you to help me with".

Sarah gets confused seeing Maya's alternative stern and warm look. She couldn't understand Maya's strange behaviour so she simply nods "I will".

The girl rolls her eyes "She is such a two-faced human!".

Maya asks confused "What?"

The girl announces seeing Sarah who is walking out of the chamber "She is only loyal to that man. She has told him every single thing happened there!".

Maya sits on the bed tiredly and speaks shaking her head "Just ignore these things. Say about the Incomplete Soul. What were you saying?".

The girl frowns "Don't avoid the knowing about what's happening around you, Sister Maya. This could lead you in danger and especially that man? I suspect him ever since he brought you here!".

Maya just listens to the girl and thinks about her words. She asks suspiciously "Since when you are with me? Why did you not appear before?".

Bhommi walks towards Maya slowly with a faint smile and says "I have been with you ever since you are a child".

Maya darts her eyes and whispers in disbelief "How could this-".

Bhommi smiles wondering "Do you remember a dancing doll you played with in your childhood days?".

Maya looks at her darkly "I never played with dolls. Do not try to fool me, Bhommi".

LAUGHS!!

Bhommi laughs heartily seeing Maya's confident face and squeals "Then you don't remember anything, Sister Maya! Do you remember? Your father bought you a dancing doll made of clay which would not fall due to the centre of gravity-'.

Maya asks perplexed "Centre of what?".

Bhommi blinks realizing something "Huh...forget it! Your world is not ready yet to digest that knowledge! Let's talk about your forgotten childhood. Why don't you remember anything?".

Maya gets sad and speaks "I can not even remember my Father's face now. You should have known the reason".

'If not for the Curse from my Master....I could not remember his face too...'

Bhommi sighs "It's been years, Sister Maya. You should have forgotten as it's a long period of time".

Maya asks suddenly "Can I not free from that Curse too?".

Bhommi tilts her head "Which one? Your Soul? I would tell you once we find the other incomplete one".

Maya shakes her head "It's about My Master's! Father told me once that My Master cursed me for something... I can remember him Cursing-".

Bhommi announces smugly "That was a lie!".

Maya stands in shock "Lie?!".

Bhommi declares carelessly "Your Father wanted you to stop learning the war skills so he lied that you will forget everything you learn! Sister Maya, you were so stupid that you believed and lived your whole life with that lie making it becoming a truth!".

Maya is stoned to hear Bhommi and holds her head disheartened "My Father lied to me?!".

Bhommi sits on Maya's bed and leans back languidly "Don't blame him, Sister Maya. He was scared to see your powers. He thought it was the effects of your learning war skills. So he lied to stop you from hurting yourself further".

Bhommi sighs "I still remember that he would stay awake every night to take care of your injury.  He genuinely thought to keep you safe from hurting yourself".

Sarah enters the chamber "The Emperor asked you to stay till noon-".

Maya looks at Sarah coldly "I do not want to!".

Sarah sighs "I know but you have to respect his request as a daughter-in-law!".

Bhommi chuckles "He really has some plans for your future!".
