#206 - A loving father and a filial son
"You don't know what you're facing, you old dog!" Daimos retorted immediately.
"I have gained the favor of the Supreme Sovereign. You should come and offer your neck to be slaughtered, becoming the cornerstone under my feet."
Although Daimos showed disdain for Soros, he still used Celestial Energy to condense a helmet.
After all, Soros had been powerful for a long time. Daimos, who had grown up by his side since childhood, knew how unfathomable his strength was and dared not be careless at all.
"This novel power of yours does make me a bit curious." Soros strode out, walking towards Daimos step by step.
"Hand over this power, and I can let bygones be bygones."
"If you have the ability, come and take it yourself!" Daimos shouted, wielding the chainsaw sword and rushing towards Soros.
"Then don't blame Daddy for snatching your new toy!" Soros tapped his toes and suddenly accelerated, facing Daimos head-on.
"Ya!"
Daimos raised his sword and slashed down at Soros from above. The roaring sound was like a wild beast roaring.
Who knew that Soros didn't dodge or evade, but instead approached Daimos, stretched out his left hand, and blocked forward, his arm precisely stuck in the chainsaw sword's hilt, preventing the chainsaw sword from swinging down.
Soros was a monster who had lived for who knows how many years. His combat experience was not comparable to any enemy Daimos had encountered before. Soros took the initiative to attack the terrifying weapon that normal people would be terrified of and avoid, and cracked Daimos's reliance.
Daimos was shocked. His sword hilt was stuck, causing him to be unable to pull it back for a while. However, he was not a naive young man. He raised his left hand and slammed it at his old man's face.
Soros saw out of the corner of his eye that several purple spikes protruded from the fist the size of a pot. It was Daimos manipulating Celestial Energy to put on brass knuckles for himself.
If this hit solidly, Soros's head would definitely bloom. In desperation, Soros kicked out and kicked Daimos in the stomach, sending him flying.
This kick was not light. Cracks appeared in the Celestial Energy armor on Daimos's abdomen, but it only appeared for a moment. Daimos quickly replenished Celestial Energy to repair the armor.
Daimos did not forget to attack while flying backwards. He condensed a chain in his left hand, with a meteor hammer attached to the end of the chain. Daimos swung it forcefully and smashed it towards Soros's head.
Soros raised his right hand, and energy wrapped around his right hand like dragons and snakes.
"Boom!"
With a loud noise, Daimos's Celestial Energy meteor hammer shattered in response. Soros shattered it with one punch.
The hammerhead shattered, but there was still a chain. Just as he landed, Daimos flipped his left hand, and the chain wrapped around Soros's right arm as if it were alive.
"Electrocution!"
The reversed incantation was spoken, and electric current sped along the Celestial Energy chain towards Soros.
"Drink!"
Soros was hit. Electricity surged through his body. He endured the discomfort and shattered the chain wrapped around him with the energy in his body.
Without stopping, the energy that passed through his body drew an arc in the air and smashed towards Daimos.
"Card Shield!" As soon as Daimos finished speaking, a huge metal shield appeared on the path of the energy flow, but it only blocked it for a few seconds before it exploded.
Of course, Daimos didn't expect a metal shield to block this attack. He just wanted to buy time. These few seconds were enough for him to use Celestial Energy to create more shields.
The energy flow shattered the metal shield, but more Celestial Energy shields appeared out of thin air under the metal shield. After shattering four shields, the energy flow also disappeared.
"What a convenient ability. No wonder you dare to rebel." Soros sighed.
"This is just the tip of the iceberg." Daimos smiled grimly. He waved his hand, and reversed magic followed.
"Golem!"
The ground shook and the already dilapidated castle was now even worse. Four golems composed of parts of the castle appeared in front of Daimos. Without Daimos's order, these golems spontaneously rushed towards Soros.
"You don't think these mud can kill me, do you?" Soros wrapped his fists in energy and smashed the four golems with one punch each.
Of course, Daimos didn't think that these hastily made golems could kill Soros. His purpose was to tear down this crumbling castle.
While Soros was entangled by the golems, Daimos had already smashed through the wall and flew out of the castle. Even if the castle collapsed and couldn't hurt him, he didn't want to be crushed.
Flying out of the castle, Daimos witnessed the collapse of the place where he had lived since he was a child, but there was no fluctuation in his heart. He didn't care about anything except power.
As for the servants who didn't have time to take out? It was even less within Daimos's consideration. He would not actively kill them, let alone save them.
The collapse of the castle was surprisingly fast. In just a few breaths, only a mountain-high ruin remained.
Daimos scanned the sky. He was waiting for Soros, that old dog, to show his head. He didn't think this could kill him.
Sure enough, without waiting too long for Daimos, Soros dug away the stones on his body and crawled out of the ruins.
However, Soros was not the only one who crawled out. Morlun also crawled out not far away.

Morlun looked around blankly, not knowing what had happened at all. He had just returned home and was crushed under the ruins. It could be said that he was very unlucky.
"Father?" Morlun saw Solens not far from him.
"What exactly happened?"
"Daimos betrayed me." Soros did not look back, but kept staring at Daimos in the sky.
"Daimos?" Morlun was shocked and looked in the direction of Soros's gaze. He really found Daimos, who was floating in the sky and had changed greatly.
"You dirty maggot!" Morlun said fiercely. In his opinion, betraying his father was unforgivable.
"You dare to betray Father!"
"Oh, isn't this the famous Morlun?" Daimos didn't care about Morlun's threat at all. Daimos looked at him mockingly.
"Did you fail again? Are you going to come back and cry to your dad and have him tell you bedtime stories?"
"I will definitely kill you!" Morlun gritted his teeth, wishing he could tear Daimos into pieces.
"Too bad, you can't even touch me now." Daimos continued to mock his brother.
"You group of frogs in a well have always focused your attention on a group of insects, complacent that you can fill your stomachs."
Daimos opened his hands, looking fanatical.
"Look at me, this is the real power."
"As long as I eat you, it will be mine." Soros said in a deep voice. According to his analysis, if Daimos's power was only as he had shown just now, then he and Morlun would definitely be able to take him down, but it would take some time.
"You old dog, you really are short-sighted." Daimos shook his head.
"Alright, I'll let you see what real power is."
