#207 - The heir in name only
Even though his opponents had become two, Daimon felt no difficulty at all, stemming from his previous battle with Solus.
You see, Solus was recognized as the strongest among the Inheritor family, never dying once in the past hundred years, constantly accumulating power, only acting when the family encountered an opponent they couldn't handle.
Now, having obtained the Celestial Power for only a few hours, he was actually able to challenge Solus, who had accumulated power for a hundred years. How could this not excite him?
As for his brother Morlun, Daimon would have been wary of him before, but now he no longer gave him a second glance.
However, Morlun still had some strength. If the two of them, father and son, joined forces, he might really suffer an unexpected defeat. So, he decided to use Yang Le's power.
Daimon felt the mark on his soul, using it as a bridge to continuously receive Yang Le's power.
"Stop him quickly!" Solus shouted at Morlun, although he didn't know what Daimon was going to do, he certainly couldn't let Daimon succeed.
As for why Solus didn't go himself, it was naturally because of uncertainty. After all, now that the resurrection device was destroyed, Solus, with only one life, became timid. He didn't dare to gamble with his life, so he decided to let his son explore the way first.
Morlun didn't think so much for a moment. Hearing his father's order, he subconsciously carried it out, exerting force with his legs and jumping towards Daimon in mid-air.
Before Morlun could jump to Daimon's side, he was blasted back by a powerful force, going faster than he came.
Solus composed himself and looked into the air. Although Daimon's appearance hadn't changed, the energy he released was completely different from before.
If described with military fire, one was a bullet, and the other was a nuclear bomb. The difference was so great.
"Power is always so intoxicating." Daimon put away his chainsaw sword, now there was no need to use it.
Solus's hair stood on end. Before he could react, Daimon was already in front of him.
"Die!"
As Daimon's voice fell, Solus's eyes rolled back and he fell in front of him, already lifeless.
Daimon frowned slightly. The Celestial Power in his body had decreased by one-third, which was obviously too wasteful. If he had chosen other methods to kill Solus, no matter how extravagant he was, it would have been impossible to use so much energy.
It seemed that the instant death curse was not very practical. It was useless against those stronger than himself, and unnecessary against those weaker than himself. It was no better than a useless thing, so it was better to use it less in the future.
While Daimon was still thinking, Morlun's voice came from behind him.
"What did you do to Father!?"
Faced with Morlun's questioning, Daimon just smiled indifferently.
"Obviously, I killed him. What? Are you not only stupid but also blind?"
"How is that possible?" Morlun opened his mouth wide, looking incredulous.
"You didn't even touch him."
"Maybe he's old and his heart isn't very good, and he was scared to death by me?" Daimon stroked his chin, as if he was guessing, but his expression was playful, and it was obvious that he was being sarcastic.
"How dare you insult him!" Morlun's veins bulged, revealing his fangs, wanting to fight his brother to the death.
In his opinion, how could Solus, the head of the Inheritor family, the invincible Solus, be scared to death? This must be a trick. If he believed Daimon's nonsense, he would be close to losing his mind.
Daimon lost interest, looking at his brother Morlun, who overestimated himself, he suddenly understood how pathetic he used to be. He clearly saw the facts before him, but he didn't accept things outside his cognition. Calling him a frog in a well was an exaggeration.
Daimon felt a sense of shame and gratitude. Shame because he used to be one of them, gratitude because he had now received the favor of his master and saw a wider world.
"Aaaaaah!"
Morlun screamed and rushed towards Daimon. His attack was chaotic, even worse than Solus's.
Daimon yawned and waved his hand casually. Spiders made of Celestial Power continuously涌 out from his hands, pouncing towards Morlun, who was launching an attack.
Morlun didn't hold back and couldn't dodge in time. In the blink of an eye, he was submerged in the overwhelming sea of spiders. Accompanied by the scalp-numbing crawling sound, when Daimon took back the Celestial Power, Morlun had disappeared without a trace, not even a hair left.
The battle was over. In just over ten minutes, Daimon had killed half of the Inheritor family. Now, only his sister Bora, and his brothers Brix and Karn were left.
Daimon raised his hand and opened a purple portal.
This was the method of opening a door that Yang Le researched using technology, extrapolating the magical way to open a portal. After all, Celestial Power can be converted into any energy. As long as you know the method, opening a portal is simple.
Yang Le, along with this magic, along with other messy things, stuffed them all into Daimon's head, completely treating him as a guinea pig for experimentation.
As long as Daimon tested that these things could be used, it would be much more convenient for Yang Le himself. Not to mention anything else, just this ability to open doors at will is very useful. He would never have to hang a bunch of things on his body again.
After all, Yang Le now had a pair of gloves (biomnitrix) and a watch (omnitrix) on his arms. If he hung something else, he would become a Christmas tree.
Observing Daimon's every move, Yang Le nodded with satisfaction. Now, the Inheritor family was already in name only. Brix and Bora were too weak. If it weren't because the Inheritors restrained the totem power, for Spider-Man, they could only be considered third-rate villains.
However, Karn was different. This one was a heavyweight. Not to mention that he would become the new Master Weaver in the future, he was not weak even now.
Karn had always been awkward in the Inheritor family. He possessed a kind heart that shouldn't have appeared here. Karn valued his family very much, but unfortunately, he accidentally killed his mother when hunting the Master Weaver a hundred years ago.
This made him fall into deep self-blame, but his father Solus used this to control him, turning Karn into a ruthless hunting machine, even not preparing a resurrection pod for Karn, letting him fend for himself.
The other members of the Inheritor family were also happy to do so, even treating Karn as a joke after dinner. After all, if they didn't consume such a good clown quickly, it would be too late when he died.
But no one expected that Karn not only didn't die, but after a hundred years of hunting, his strength had become unfathomable, even faintly surpassing Morlun and Daimon.
After that, the others in the family never talked about Karn again. After all, the situation had reversed, and those who had mocked Karn before seemed to be the real clowns.
