#600 - Capture
Just like before, the fireball thrown by the boy smashed into the Sentinel robot, failing to make any impact other than exploding into sparks.
Dr. Banner pushed up his glasses. In his opinion, the boy had no chance of escaping. Just because these Sentinel robots were rushed out didn't mean they were trash; in fact, it was quite the opposite.
Because they were rushed, these robots were produced on the same line as the Howard Stark armor, using all the materials Howard had prepared for himself. Their defensive capabilities were definitely top-notch.
Simply put, the scene before them was like using a cannon to kill a mosquito.
"No! Aaaaaah!"
Behind the boy, a Sentinel robot pulled a strangely shaped short baton from its thigh. After it crackled with electricity, it decisively pressed the baton against the boy's body.
The electricity passed through the baton into the boy, who could no longer maintain his ability. The flames in his hands dissipated instantly, and he fell to the ground, convulsing.
Another Sentinel robot took out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed the boy's wrists. Only then did the Sentinel robot with the stun baton stop delivering the current.
One of the Sentinel robots picked up the boy, and the five Sentinel robots flew back to Hyperion.
"Excellent!" Hyperion nodded in satisfaction, not caring about the fearful gazes of the surrounding crowd.
"Such a clean and efficient first mission. If we continue to maintain and upgrade them, they will definitely do even better. Truly a product of Stark Industries!"
"Of course, this is also thanks to Dr. Banner's help." Hyperion changed the subject, looking again at Bruce Banner, who was standing behind him, not very conspicuous.
"Without your search technology, Sentinel robots would forever remain a fantasy."
"I just did what I should do." Banner pushed up his glasses, appearing calm and showing no emotional fluctuations from Hyperion's flattery.
However, Hyperion did not blame Banner for his indifference. On the contrary, he surprisingly revealed a sad expression.
Hyperion put his arm around Banner's shoulder and said, "I understand, Banner. With this technology, we can find the superhuman who kidnapped Betty."
Banner's body stiffened, unsure if it was because of Hyperion's overly intimate gesture or because of what he said.
"The search technology still needs constant debugging," Banner said, pushing Hyperion away. "It's not accurate enough yet and can easily be confused by large crowds. I'll go back and refine it; I won't keep you company here."
Watching Dr. Banner walk towards the building, Hyperion called out, "Remember to attend tonight's dinner."
"Sorry, I might…"
"Don't refuse, Bruce."
Before Dr. Banner could finish speaking, Hyperion forcibly interrupted him, then said with a look of melancholy.
"Our father is dead. I want to wait for Betty to return and take his place in agreeing to your marriage, so I think it's better for you to attend some family matters in advance."
Dr. Banner turned his head sharply, looking at Hyperion with an incredulous expression. Finally, he nodded under the other's encouraging gaze.
"I will."
After speaking, Banner turned again and walked towards the building. This time, no one stopped him.
Watching Banner's back, a trace of strangeness flashed in Hyperion's eyes, but it quickly disappeared without a trace. No one present noticed this brief anomaly.
…
Hyperion's actions, coupled with the impact of the Sentinel robots, a groundbreaking machine, caused a huge uproar in the world.
Especially the latter's advent, the emergence of superhuman search technology was even more shocking. Even gang members who hadn't gone to school and were high out of their minds knew the value of this technology.
"This means those freaks can no longer hide around us!"
A black man with slurred speech was berating his subordinate, not noticing the increasingly ugly expression on his subordinate's face due to his explanation.
"Hey! Pass me my booze, kid!"
The black boss smacked his subordinate's head, and the latter, in pain, finally snapped out of his frightened state and tremblingly handed the beer that was placed aside to his boss.
"What's wrong with you, kid?" The black boss finally noticed something was wrong with his subordinate. "Want to get high? I still have a little left; make do with it. I'm broke right now."
"No, it's not that," the subordinate said with an awkward smile. "I just have a stomach…"
"Knock knock knock!"
"Who is it?" the black boss shouted impatiently, then kicked his subordinate. "Go open the door! If it's the cops, remember to knock the code."
The subordinate covered his butt and walked towards the door, first peeking through the peephole and seeing nothing, but the door kept ringing. Because of his worries, the subordinate became impatient.

"Who is it!"
The subordinate suddenly pulled open the door and stepped out of the room, because he thought someone was playing a prank on him, hiding in a corner invisible from the peephole and quietly knocking on the door.
But as soon as he stepped out of the door, he knew he was wrong. In a place invisible from the peephole, a robot standing in the center of the corridor, nearly seven feet tall, had scraped off a layer of the corridor ceiling.
The subordinate was immediately shocked. This robot was exactly the same as the one on TV this morning, the Sentinel robot known as the superhuman killer.
"Superhuman individual detected."
Regardless of how shocked the human in front of it was, the Sentinel robot continued to perfectly execute its mission. Its electronic eyes scanned the human's body and obtained an accurate answer.
Hearing the emotionless electronic voice, the subordinate felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave. Without thinking, he relied entirely on his body's automatic reaction to run back into the room.
"Encountering resistance! Commencing forced capture!"
The light projected from the Sentinel robot's electronic eyes changed from green to red. The thrusters in its legs instantly activated, and the hot flames ignited the carpet beneath its feet.
"Boom!"
The door, along with the door frame, was shattered in an instant. The black boss in the room was not very clear-headed due to the effects of drugs and alcohol.
In his eyes, everything turned into slow motion. The first thing that caught his eye was his subordinate. Black, skinny street kids were everywhere in America, but the metallic, gleaming steel behemoth behind him was not so common.
"Am I really too high?" The man asked this question for the first time since his birth.
What happened next surprised him even more. His subordinate, Armando, actually lit up with light all over his body and then disappeared in front of him.
