#704 - Enchantress
As the child in her arms changed appearance, a pleasant scent wafted into the Elf Queen's nose, unlike the natural fragrance of flowers, this aroma was more aggressive.
Smelling the fragrance, the Elf Queen felt her brain spinning. The woman in her arms seized the opportunity to hold the Queen's head straight, forcing her to look directly into her eyes.
"Don't avoid me, sweetheart," the woman purred with a suggestive breath. The Queen's eyes revealed a daze, gradually losing their original brilliance.
"That's right. Now, help me up."
The Elf Queen, like a puppet, mechanically supported the woman's hand, helping her up from the ground. Once standing, the woman broke free from the Queen's grasp.
A pair of jade-like arms reached behind her. As the woman adjusted her hair, her short, index-finger-length hair gradually transformed into waist-length golden locks.
The long hair was as beautiful as a golden sunset, complementing the woman's stunning face. At this moment, the other Light Elves also noticed something was wrong and came forward to check on the Queen's condition.
The woman noticed the stirring crowd. She winked at the approaching Elves, and all the male Elves froze in place, spontaneously forming a human wall to block the remaining female Elves.
"Now, tell your people to stop, sweetheart," the woman draped herself on the Elf Queen, their intimate appearance making unaware onlookers believe they were close friends.
Malekith, relying on his magic, dodged and weaved through the guards' attacks. Neither magic nor weapons could harm him in the slightest, as if he were merely toying with these attendants.
"Stop!"
A stern voice came from behind. The attendants, hearing the familiar voice, subconsciously halted their actions. There was no mistaking it; it was their Queen's voice.
The captain of the guard turned back. Sure enough, the Elf Queen was staring at them with stern eyes, as if the guards had committed some error.
"But, Your Majesty," the captain of the guard said unwillingly, "We are about to capture the intruder."
"Did you not hear my order? I said stop!"
However, the Elf Queen, once as gentle as a spring breeze, was now as cold as winter, her voice icy, her expression stern. In a thousand years, they had never seen such an expression on the Queen's face.
Seeing this, Malekith knew his plan had succeeded. His face still wore that effortless expression. He patted the non-existent dust on his clothes, his elegant demeanor more like a foreign prince attending a banquet than an intruder.
"You truly did not disappoint me, Amora," Malekith stepped out of the guards' encirclement. Under the Queen's command, these warriors, though unwilling, dared not act.
"However, it would have been perfect if you could have been a little faster. My other ally will complain to me later."
"Don't be ungrateful," Amora rolled her eyes in a charming manner, casually conjuring a green tiara from nowhere and placing it on her head.
"I let you stab me. You are such a heartless fellow. I didn't expect you could really bring yourself to stab me."
Amora frowned, looking down at her slender waist. The green dress she wore had a conspicuous hole, stained with some scarlet, coupled with the faintly visible snow-white skin, creating a shocking beauty.
"I couldn't help it, dear. If I didn't act realistically, how could the Elf Queen have fallen for it?" Malekith's tone was apologetic, but there was no regret in his eyes.
Amora knew that the person in front of her was a complete madman. Malekith's mind was abnormal. Even her proud charm techniques had no effect on him, so she chose to quit while she was ahead, but the benefits she deserved still had to be collected.
"You're right about everything, but the benefits you promised me have to be increased a little," Amora bargained. Malekith had no objection to this and agreed on the spot.
To him, anything could be promised, but it was just a promise. Whether he would give it afterward was uncertain.
I've already promised you, why should I give it to you? Why should you get all the good things?
"Alright, Amora, now let our Queen open the city gates," Malekith didn't want to linger. "I can't wait to swim in the sea of knowledge."
Amora shrugged and led the Elf Queen towards the front line. Before leaving, Malekith left behind the communication crystal that could contact Asgard.
Thus, because the strategy of capturing the leader first was successful, Alfheim was completely captured.
...
With the Elf Queen's help, Alfheim quickly got rid of the tense atmosphere, but the past joy did not return. The entire country fell into a deathly silence.
The Frost Giants who had been attacking outside the tree wall were now sitting in the square in front of the Elf Castle. Even though their size had shrunk somewhat due to the weather, the Frost Giants were still three to four meters tall and could not enter the castle at all, so they could only wait outside.
But even if they went in, it wouldn't be of much use. Most Frost Giants were brutes and couldn't understand the knowledge passed down by the Light Elves. It was estimated that only the Giant King Laufey could barely understand some of it.
But even if he understood it, it wouldn't be of much use. These Elven magics were useless to the Frost Giants. Reading them would only be a waste of time. It would be better to sit here and enjoy the Light Elves' special delicacies and wines.
Laufey sneered disdainfully at the Light Elves around him, who dared to be angry but dared not speak. Although he was not afraid of these softies, the environment of Alfheim was not suitable for the Frost Giants to survive. Warmth would only make them uncomfortable.
He didn't know when Malekith's army would come to take over here. If he stayed any longer, he would continue to shrink.
Perhaps sensing his thoughts, Malekith, who Laufey was thinking about, just happened to walk out of the castle, accompanied by the puppet-like Elf Queen and the charming Amora.
"What? Did you find what you wanted so quickly?" Laufey put down the wine barrel in his hand.
"Thanks to the Queen," Malekith very naturally used his hand to hold up the Queen's golden hair. This action caused another commotion among the surrounding Light Elves, but none of the people in the center of the crowd cared.
"I just said what I wanted to find, and the Queen guided me to find it. Such a knowledgeable and gentle Queen, even I can't help but be moved."
Laufey was stunned when he heard this and asked, "Laufey didn't hear wrong, did he? You're moved?"
Malekith lowered his head to smell the Queen's hair, then raised his head and said, "Of course, I'm even preparing to marry the Queen."
