#885 - Go on vacation
Actually, Dick had stolen a lot of information during the Cadmus Labs mission a few months ago, just like he did this time on Santa Prisca Island.
However, the difference between the two operations is that the only useful information on Santa Prisca Island was the Cobra venom. On the contrary, the information from Cadmus Labs was too vast, and Dick didn't have enough time to steal all of it, so he could only choose to download a small portion.
Mutants occupied a large part of this small portion. There were just too many types of them, and Harpy might be one of them because he was also a mutant.
However, the records about Harpy in the data were very conventional, just like any other mutant, and not as unique as what he said himself.
So, should they believe Harpy's words?
Dick chose to believe Harpy. The reason why the other party exposed his abilities was to save them. It was unreasonable to doubt his teammates at this time.
Batman agreed with Dick's point of view, and also reminded him to keep a bottom line in his heart. The Justice League has had many spies since its establishment, some of whom were pure villains, and some were forced to do so.
Dick nodded, he understood what Batman meant.
The two chatted for a while. At the end of the conversation, Batman said as if he suddenly remembered something.
"By the way, according to your performance on Santa Prisca Island this time, the Justice League thinks you can undergo further training. Remember to notify your teammates then."
"Further training?" Dick scratched his head. He had never heard of any special training methods in the Justice League, but he still responded.
"Got it, I will notify everyone."
"Also, remember to keep what Harpy said a secret."
"Yes, I know."
...
The Santa Prisca Island operation was the most difficult mission the Young Justice League had ever experienced, so the Justice League decided to give these children a vacation. They would not receive any missions for the next three or four days.
This was a good thing for the children. Although they all hated evil, they also needed rest, especially Dick, Wally, and Courtney, who all had dual identities.
Even Wally, who considered himself to have unlimited energy, often complained about wishing he could rest for a day.
The adults of the Justice League saw the appearance of their children. Several wealthy people discussed it and decided to give these children a vacation.
"Is this true?" Wally jumped up from his chair. "Rent an island for us to vacation on!?"
Green Arrow folded his arms and raised his eyebrows, saying, "I thought you guys who just came back from Santa Prisca Island would be allergic to the word 'island'. Now it seems that my worries are unnecessary."
"Missions are missions, and playing is playing. How can these be confused!"
After receiving a definite answer, Wally immediately danced with joy. His speed was so fast that it was almost impossible to capture with the naked eye, and he was so excited that he even used the Speed Force.
In fact, not only Wally, but also the other children of the Young Justice League were very happy. Country girl Courtney hadn't seen the sea for a long time since she moved to Blue Valley, let alone occupy an entire island.
Megan was also very happy. As a Martian poisoned by youth dramas, her favorite thing to do was to imitate some of the content in youth dramas on weekdays.
But unfortunately, because of her identity, the Justice League could not arrange for her to go to school, so she had no chance to imitate on weekdays, and now there was a beach scene that often appeared in youth dramas, so how could she not be excited?
Jackson was also very happy. The reason he was happy was that the island was very close to the sea, and he might be able to go home to visit relatives by the way, and he really liked group activities.
Troia didn't feel anything about this, but since everyone was willing to participate, she naturally had no objection, and Harpy was the same.
The only two who were more difficult to deal with were Artemis and Superboy.
Artemis didn't know why, but she was more resistant to this kind of private gathering. She didn't seem to want people to know what she was like in private.
In this regard, Wally commented sharply.
"You are just like Dick back then." Wally leaned close to Artemis, raised his hand to cover his mouth, and whispered to the latter.
"This guy was very stinky back then. When I first met him in the Hall of Justice, I thought that we would be working together in the future, so let's just reveal our identities, but he said that the real identity of a superhero is more important than life, and immediately rejected my request."
"Is that so?" Artemis shook her head, and her long golden ponytail swept across Wally's face, but the latter surprisingly didn't feel disgusted.
"I think what he said is right, and I have the same idea as Robin at the time."
"Another stinky guy." Wally muttered in a low voice when he saw this.
As an archer, Artemis not only had good eyesight, but also had keen hearing. Naturally, she heard what the other party said, but seeing Wally deflated, she was surprisingly in a good mood, so she decided not to care about this little thing.
"What are you two talking about?"
Speaking of Cao Cao, Cao Cao arrived. As the captain, Dick naturally wanted to understand everyone's wishes, so he had to ask everyone, and now it was the turn of the two people in front of him.
"Nothing, nothing!"
Wally reacted quickly, hurriedly waved his hands, and winked at Artemis, signaling the other party not to betray him.
Speaking of archers again, their eyesight is very good, so Artemis didn't see Wally's request.
"It's nothing." Artemis's mouth curled up. "It's just that Wally has been telling me bad things about you."
She changed her mind, and she really wanted to strike hard against people like Wally.
"Oh! Is that so?" The corner of Dick's mouth raised slightly, and he deliberately said loudly in Wally's uneasy expression.
"What? Wally, you don't want to go to the island vacation? That's a pity, but it doesn't matter, I will accurately tell Green Arrow your wishes!"
"Oh! No! Please, Dick!" Wally quickly flashed to Dick's side, and the latter pretended not to see him and walked to Artemis.
"Seriously, are you considering participating in this event?"
"Forget it, you know I don't like that kind of private gathering." Artemis waved her hand and refused, paused for a while, and hurriedly added as if she was afraid that Dick would persuade her.
"Don't just persuade me, Superboy doesn't seem to want to participate either. If you can get him to participate, then I will participate."
