"I've... I've never dreamed that I would be able to have some time alone with you, Michy."

Trissa's voice was soft and warm, just like the milk foam on top of a warm cappuccino. Hearing that kind of voice in cold weather like this would be like drinking a cup of cappuccino.

Not only her voice that was soft and warm. Her face was soft and warm as well. Trissa was Tallie's daughter, but for some reason, the girl's demeanor wasn't like her mother's.

Trissa finally realized that the boy might indeed be a lost child. The boy was adopted from an orphanage, and that meant, the boy once lost his biological parents.

The boy was so unfortunate to experience the same pain again. Even if it was just the adoptive parents who passed away, the pain would be the same if the child loved the parents so much.

"Will he return to the orphanage after this, Mom?" Trissa asked another question to her mother.

Tallie looked surprised when she heard the question. "Why did you ask me that?" She asked back. "As far as I know, the family of his adoptive parents is so nice to him, especially his uncle. I don't think he will need to return to the orphanage after this."

Hearing her mother's answer, Trissa heaved a sigh of relief. She didn't even know the boy, but for some reason, she was worried about the boy's wellbeing.

At least, she wouldn't need to worry about the boy anymore because someone would take care of the boy.

"And even if no one wants to take care of him, I'll come forward to take care of him, darling," Tallie suddenly spoke again. "His adoptive parents are like family to me, so if no one wants him, I will adopt him. Will you be happy to get an older brother, darling?"]

Back then, Trissa didn't feel happy after hearing her mother's statement. It would be good if the silver-haired boy could continue living a good life with new parents, but she didn't like the idea of having the boy as her brother.

Some people didn't believe in love at the first sight, and some people even called it cheesy. However, Trissa experienced love at the first sight at that time. Thus, she disagreed with her mother's idea of adopting the boy. She didn't want the boy to become her brother.

At first, she could only observe Michy from afar, but then her parents asked her to come with them to approach the poor boy. Tallie introduced the two youths, and the two hands finally made contact for the first time.
