The Demon's Angelic Love

Azren was in the kitchen once again, but instead of immediately continuing cooking for the idol, he fixated his gaze on the phone strap again.

He knew that cooking dinner in ten minutes was nearly impossible for him, so he decided to order some takeouts. The nice Michy gave him some pocket money some time ago, and he would use the money to pay for the food later.

He even forgot to grab the pink apron from Michy's room, and now he was just sitting on a chair as his green eyes continued observing the phone strap.

At first glance, he found nothing special with the strap, but when his eyes caught a glimpse of the primrose decoration on the strap, his smile immediately widened.

"Primrose is Michy's favorite flower, and he gave me this strap with primrose decoration. Did he mean something by giving it to me?"

"He gave it to you as a reminder that the third rule still exists."

Azren gasped when he heard another voice answer his question. He immediately got up from the stool and turned around. The pair of emerald eyes widened upon seeing Orgonel standing not too far from him.

After so many days, it was the first time Orgonel visited him. He had tried to contact the long-haired demon with his phone, but no one answered the call. Thus, he could only wait for the senior demon to visit him.

He wanted to see Orgonel earlier, and now that the long-haired demon came to see him as if he could read what was on his mind, the grin on Azren's face started manifesting.

"Sir! I really wanted to see you, and you suddenly came for me! You can sense that I need your help, can't you?" Azren immediately greeted the demon with his cheerful voice, completely forgetting about the phone strap in his hand.

The young demon sounded so energetic, but Orgonel just rolled his crimson eyes as a response. "I came to you because I know that you are in a dangerous situation now, Azren," he coldly replied to the question full of excitement.

Hearing the cold reply, the blonde demon frowned at him. "I'm in a dangerous situation now? But how come? I didn't do anything dangerous, and I'm also still healthy now," he replied innocently.

Azren indeed had improved ever since he started his mission in the human world, but he would still act innocently sometimes. Orgonel could only shake his head when he saw the innocence.

"You don't even realize that you have been putting yourself in a dangerous situation, do you?" Orgonel asked back instead of answering the young demon's question. "You don't realize it, and it's probably because you forgot the third rule given by our king. That's why I came here to remind you about that, Azren."

Orgonel was still cold as ever, and he didn't even react to Azren's enthusiasm. Now the young demon frowned before replying, "The third rule? It's about our king's warn that forbad me from falling in love with a human, isn't it? I don't fall in love with a human, and I still remember the rule so well. You don't need to remind me about the rule, Sir."

Azren looked relaxed, but the senior demon squinted his eyes at the young demon. "Are you sure that you don't fall in love with a human? But, your question and your expression when I just arrived at this place gave me a different feeling, Azren."

The long-haired demon stared at him with his gaze full of suspicion, and Azren couldn't help but squirm a little.

"I'm sorry, Sir," the blonde demon then replied to the senior's statement. "Perhaps my expression and my question earlier looked a little weird, but it didn't mean that I'm in love with Michy."

"I didn't even say a name, but you know that I was talking about Michy?"

"..."

Azren fell silent upon hearing Orgonel's question. The senior demon indeed didn't say any name, but he automatically thought about Michy. Now he was flustered because of his stupidity.

Seeing the young demon finally lose his cool, Orgonel smirked at him. "Let's say that you didn't fall in love with Michy, but what if Michy fell in love with you?"

Orgonel gave him another question, and for some reason, his heart thumped faster upon hearing the question.

He always believed that Michy hated him. The idol indeed kissed him, and he sometimes also treated him nicely. But, he believed that those acts were not something that was called love.

Michy kissed him because of lust, and Michy treated him nicely because he had a nice side inside him.

"That's not possible, Sir," Azren answered without looking at the senior demon. "I've confirmed that Michy is indeed gay, but I'm sure that he didn't love me. Now his ex-boyfriend has come back to him, so it's impossible for him to love someone like me. And Michy also has a girlfriend now, Sir. It's complicated, but it's impossible for Michy to fall for me."

When he uttered the explanation, Azren's hand unconsciously gripped the phone strap from Michy tightly. He didn't know why, but he didn't like it when he imagined that Michy would go back to Elias or maybe would start to love Trissa.

He didn't know what kind of feeling he had in his heart, but he continued telling himself that it wasn't love. A demon shouldn't fall in love, and he also couldn't fall in love.

On the other hand, Orgonel studied Azren's face carefully. 'You just don't know that the feeling in your heart is love, Azren. And I also can't understand why our king insisted that you are only lusting over Michy. It's obvious that you are in love with the human, but why did our king think the opposite?'

It wasn't only Azren who was puzzled, but Orgonel was troubled too. But, the two demons were troubled by two different things.

"Sir? Do you finally believe in me after hearing my explanation?" Azren questioned the senior demon after getting no response from the demon. Perhaps he didn't even notice that Orgonel was lost in his thoughts earlier.

Orgonel finally chose to brush off his thought as he shook his head. Focusing his red eyes on the young demon again, he then replied, "You just need to be careful with your feelings. Our king hates to love the most, and if you dare to break the rule, he surely will send you to the black hole."

It had been a while since the last time Azren heard about the black hole, but now when he heard about it again, his body shivered immediately.

"I won't dare to break the rule, Sir!" The young demon abruptly responded with determination. "I indeed kissed Michy several times, but that's just because of my lust. Now I can even feel lust, Sir. I've improved, haven't I?"

Azren looked like a little kid who wanted to get praised by his parent after getting a good mark in the exam, but Orgonel just sighed when he heard the blonde's question. "Let's not talk about that anymore," the senior demon refused to praise the young demon and chose to change the subject. "You said that you want to see me tonight, right? What's up? Do you want to talk to me about something?"

Azren grinned again upon hearing the senior's question. Even if Orgonel didn't praise him, he was quite proud of himself. He believed that Orgonel felt proud of him too, but the senior demon was too stingy to give him a compliment.

"It's about Michy's evil meter, Sir," the blonde spoke again energetically. "Michy lied to the public again tonight, and I wonder if it affected his evil meter. Can you tell me the current status of his evil meter, Sir?"

Azren was expecting a positive result from the senior demon. Perhaps he looked lazy for not doing his job properly, but Michy still sinned in the end. Michy lied again to the public, and it definitely would affect the evil meter, right?

"His lie did affect the evil meter," Orgonel answered in his usual flat tone.

Azren almost grinned widely when he heard the answer, but he then remembered about something. "The evil meter did not drop anymore, right, Sir? I didn't see his nice side lately, so his evil meter is safe, right?"

Indeed. Michy had never been on his nice side lately. The idol never called him with 'Ren' again, and Azren was confident that the nice side was not around lately.

"You are right. Michy's nice side is not around lately, and his evil meter is safe," Orgonel confirmed.

The confirmation was enough to bring Azren's wide smile come back to his face.

"However, our king told me to relay this message to you, Azren. Our king said that even if the nice side is not around, your mission will be more difficult from now on."

And Azren's smile vanished right away.
