The Devil's Curse

There's no plants or anything living. Wait, there is. but it's only a few trees and plants. There are no roads. We are definitely lost.

"Ughh. We've been walking around for ages!" Ava yelled. "Where the fuck are we!!!!"

"Don't ask me. I have no idea." I replied.

"Arghhhhhhh. Somebody help us!" Ava hollered.

"Umm. Are you guys lost?" Someone asks. I turned around. It's a girl. A girl with over-the-top body. Even past the Golden Ratio. With books and papers.

"Wait, are you people human!?" Mrs. Better-than-perfect says.

"Uh… Yes we are." replies Ava.

"Oh… I'd suggest you leave. You humans won't survive for long down here. This place is REALLY dangerous. Especially if you meet any of the 5 great demon lords. They won't spare you at all." She says. "And-"

"Oh, okay. But first of all, who are you?" Ava interrupted.

"My name is Kurai . I am a trans-dimensional demon. It's a demon that can pass through dimensions." Kurai replied. "And as I was saying before, when I was rudely interrupted!"

"Sorry." Ava muttered.

"The demon lords are called Raenef, Raikou , Belphegor, Asmodeus and Kurushimi. Raenef is the demon of magic incantations. Raikou is the demon of death. Belphegor is the demon of dark future and pathways. Asmodeus is the demon of battle and violence. Kurushimi is the demon of pain, suffering and revenge."

"What does dark future mean?" Ava asked. "Can you explain why the demon lords are called that?"

"It means that Belphegor only sees the negative future of a person like dying and when he does that, it'll happen soon. Even if your dark future is supposed to happen twenty years later, it will happen in a week to one month. But Belphegor isn't the type that likes violence. I don't really know about his pathways power." Kurai explained. "If you offend Raikou, she will chase you down and keep torturing you until you die. She's also known for the demon of death since if you don't cast a protective barrier around yourself before meeting her, you will die. Nobody except for the demon lords ever survived in her presence for a least three seconds without a barrier. Asmodeus is really violent. He loves picking a fight with others. Whoever tries to fight with him dies. Raenef was once just a lowly demon so he gets bullied often. So, in order to grow stronger, he learned incantations, the one thing he was good at. He also talks a lot because he didn't have a lot of friends back then, so he spouts words to keep the demons with him. Finally Kurushimi. Rumor says that Kurushimi used to be human and died, but he harbored hatred so much that he was revived from the dead. Whoever offends him, will suffer and then die at the hands of Kurushimi." Kurai replied.

"Heather, Heather, the demon that cast this curse is definitely Kurushimi!" Ava whispered.

"Thanks very much, Kurai." I said.

"You're welcome." Kurai replied. "Here's a map. I know it's not a well drawn map. I drew it last minute. If you need help again, come to me!"

"Again, thank you very much." I bowed in gratitude.

"Thanks." Ava said.

"You're welcome." replied Kurai and she turned back to do her research.

"Alright then. Hmmm. 150 miles. We need to go to Kurushimi's castle. It's gonna take us a week to get there. But if we find any sort of transportation, then we might be able to get there in a day." I studied.

"Oh right!" Kurai exclaimed. "Here you go." She handed over a ring to Ava.

"What is this?" Ava asked as she examined the ring.

"It's a ring that has spiritual powers. It might not be strong, but it will help defend against danger." Kurai replied. "The ring can store objects, has elemental powers that can fight off basic demons and defend. It will keep you hidden from others since humans are really rare down here. Most humans that made it down here died. Humans are like sweets to demons. It makes them stronger. For example, if a basic demon were to eat a human soul, they will become a demon second only to a demon lord."

"Thank you very much!" I gratefully said. "But don't you need this ring? And how come you didn't eat our souls?"

"NO, NO, NO, NO." Ava screamed. "OH HELL NO!"

"I was just joking." Kurai laughed. "I don't need this ring, because I'm a trans-dimensional demon. Whenever I get into a battle, not even a demon lord can defeat me. I can just teleport myself away! And if I eat your souls, it's not like it is gonna make me stronger. Only demons that actually have an element will get stronger. I will remain the same after eating a human's soul. Ah! No more dilly-dallying. You better go to wherever you need to go and then go back home! As I said, this place is dangerous for you humans!"

"Thank you! Bye!" I replied. "Thank you for all your help."

"Thanks. Bye." Ava said.
