Xiang He chuckled. He was standing beside Linyu, acting as his subordinate. Linyu had a higher status than him. What Emperor? He was only a senior disciple inside the sect.

What made him chuckled was how funny the envoys from the other kingdoms was reacting. They were all panicking! Linyu only smiled and then he left with the excited disciples. At that same moment, Yi Ling went inside the Ring. After resting the whole day, she wanted to make more concoctions for her future journey. She was already planning on finding her mother. Yet before she could even reach her courtyard, Mu Xin showed up.

"Ling'er, can we have a talk?" Mu Xin was anxious. He needed to talk to her, He thought that she misunderstood the paintings. Especially if you see a bunch of paintings of yourself in someone's study.

Yi Ling was actually wanting to speak with Mu Xin as well. Since Mei Ling didn't said anything about not divulging anything. She wanted to know more about that woman, who looked like her.

"Sure. Let's go to my garden." Yi Ling replied. Mu Xin nodded and then she gestured Mu Xin to follow her. They walked side by side together. A slight tension was in the air.

When they arrived, Yi Ling broke the silence. Mu Xin was still debating how to explain it in his head.

"Who is the woman in your study?" Yi Ling didn't looked at Mu Xin, she went to look at the flowers instead.

Mu Xin gulped. It was the main reason why he didn't want her to come inside his courtyard. Afraid she will see all of those paintings. He took a deep breath before answering her.

"Her name is Mei Ling. She was the love of my life. She is also Linyu's first master, as well as Tefei." Mu Xin looked at the blue sky. He could feel the pain gnawing inside his heart.

"Will you listen to my long story, Ling'er?" He then looked at her and smiled.

Yi Ling turned her head towards him and nodded. "As long as you are willing to." She didn't wanna push Mu Xin. She already figured some parts of his story, but there was still a bunch of missing pieces.

"Im sure you have met King Jin. I don't know how you handled him, but I can tell that you did met him. For what happened for the two of you, that's your own story. That's up to you if you want to share it to me or not. I won't ask you this. All I want to ask from you is for you to listen. I will tell you a very long story. If you have questions, ask only after I'm done. It's not easy for me to recall it." Mu Xin grabbed Yi Ling's hand and gave it a squeeze.

Yi Ling pursed her lips and gave Mu Xin's hand a squeeze back. She smiled to him and nodded. Mu Xin nodded back.

"It started with King Jin. He was a Supreme God of the heavens. No one knew where he came from, he just came out of nowhere. There was only space around him at that time and nothing else. So he decided to build a home, since he can't go anywhere anyways.

This home, he called it heaven. After building his home, he thought it felt empty. He was lonely and alone, so he created a companion. He sacrificed half of his powers to create a different being but similar to him. He wanted to share all what he could do to this person. He wanted a friend and a confidant. He created his little sister. He named her Jin Meiling." Mu Xin sighed.

"Meiling was a happy go lucky girl. She was a Deity like her brother Jin. King Jin made sure that they were equal at all cost. By sacrificing half of his powers, King Jin was demoted from being the Supreme God to a Great God. You may think that Sainthood is already strong, but its not. Sainthood is just the beginning of Godhood. I will explain it to you later, when you reach Sainthood." Mu Xin rubbed Yi Ling head.

"From the start, Meiling had the powers of a Great God. Together, they made the heaven a great place to live. It took a bit of time before Meiling finally got bored. For King Jin, having his little sister was enough. Unfortunately, Meiling didn't. So with her powers, she created Huaxia.

Her alone, created a different world from their home. In it, she created life and blessed the land with abundant source of spiritual energy. She made humans, animals and spiritual entities. Aside from this, Meiling also created a gate. A gate to reach the heavens. She wanted for her people to know that there was more to it than Huaxia. But to pass this gate, one must reach a certain amount of power. The density of the spiritual energy in heaven would easily destroy a weak spiritual body. This was the reason that she implemented this rule.

Millions of years after, There were already people who came to heaven. Meiling was happy to be able to have more friends that she could interact to. She decided to appoint them the first gods of the Heaven. They became envoys of the heaven and helped the people in Huaxia. Especially in times of need.

All of her decisions was all backed by his loving brother. It all didn't matter to him, even if the world breaks apart. All of it was for the happiness of his little sister.

Until one day, a lowly god in heaven fell in love with King Jin. No matter how he ignored her, he could never get rid of her. Meiling noticed this and felt jealous in her heart. From that day on, she realized that she was in love with her brother. It took a while for King Jin to realized this and that he too fell for his little sister. Unfortunately, the heaven noticed how they changed their interactions. They forbid ɨnċėst relationship, especially their own creators.

This is where I came in. I broke the two apart, because of my love for her. I also thought that by doing so, It will prevent from having a disaster in heaven. Unfortunately, Meiling died and King Jin lost his mind. He became a monster. He killed everyone in heaven and removed the spiritual energy in Huaxia. That's why the Huaxia now is dying without spiritual energy. It was all because of him. King Jin wanted to make the humans suffer.

He then decided to make his own people, that's how the Jin Kingdom came to be. Although he hated the humans, he didn't want be alone. Everytime that he was, he felt like dying inside. Without his little sister, life meant nothing to him. Unfortunately, he can't die. He was an immortal and he even can't kill himself.

Living for so many years, His heart turned cold and distant. He became unapproachable and had hidden himself inside his palace."

Mu Xin didn't explained to Yi Ling how he escaped. What he only knew was that, it had to do something with Meiling's dying wish.
