The Fallen Consort

"If she died, then why does she looks like me? Am I related to her? or Am I her reincarnation?" Yi Ling couldn't help but ask. This has been bothering her ever since she saw the painting.

Mu Xin smiled at her. "Does this bother you? I am not trying to hide things from you, just that there are times when its not good for someone to know things too much. When you finally unlock all of the Seven Seals within you, by then; everything would go back to its rightful place. By then, you would know why am I doing this." He held her hand and ċȧrėss it.

"I see. Then, are you Minzhe's father?" Yi Ling had never asked this to him. Only Minzhe and Linyu said so. She never doubted it, but there seems to be a story behind it.

Mu Xin looked at her eyes, he could see that she was anticipating the answer. He sighed. Since she already met King Jin, everything would just complicate things. He had to draw the line between him and King Jin.

"Minzhe is not mine. He is King Jin's son. His full name is Jin Minzhe. I just happened to be around and saved him. Minzhe knows about King Jin, just that I was the one who raised him. That's why he calls me that." Mu Xin saw Yi Ling gasped. She just realized that she never knew Minzhe's last name.

"Jin Minzhe... How come? Who is his mother? He said that I looked like his mother. Does that mean that Mei Ling is his mother?" Yi Ling gulped. Her heart was aching, knowing that King Jin had a different woman. Although it was his past, she can't help but feel jealous.

"He said that? Tsk.. That bastard is such a troublemaker." Mu Xin dropped Yi Ling's hand and pulled her closer to him instead.

"Mei Ling is his mother, but I'll let you figure it out in the future. For now, I wanted to ask you something." Mu Xin tucked some of Yi Ling's baby hairs on her face.

Yi Ling looked at Mu Xin. "En?"

"Aren't you mad at me for painting you?" He felt anxious inside, he was afraid on hearing her answer.

"No, I figured that since it was because I looked like Mei Ling." Yi Ling shake her head.

"You do look like her, its very uncanny. But no, that's not the reason why I painted you. You and Mei Ling are totally different. Your perspective in life is more mȧturė and practical than hers." Mu Xin rubbed her hair, she was pouting at the moment and he finds it adorable.

"You mentioned that you love Mei Ling. Is that why you are helping me? Cause I look like her?". Asking this, she sounded disappointed. Although she already knew that her heart belongs to King Jin, she couldn't help but feel sad. Her heart always gets confused when Mu Xin is around.

"Are you jealous of her? Does that mean you like me Ling'er?". Mu Xin was smirking while staring at her eyes. His heart was beating fast at the thought of her getting jealous.

Yi Ling blushed, she couldn't help but feel weak. His eyes feel warm unlike King Jin's hot gaze. She thought she was sure about her feelings with King Jin, yet why can't she reject Mu Xin's gestures? Nor can she deny him. Right now, they were both tangled. Mu Xin was holding her in his arms. She looked down, as she was drown with questions in her head.

Since Yi Ling didn't reply, Mu Xin lifted her head back up. Although he wasn't sure about her feelings, he was sure of his. Yi Ling was different from Mei Ling. Even if she is her reincarnation, it wasn't the reason why he love her. It was deeper than that. She was his source of happiness.

"I, Mu Xin is in love with Yi Ling. I may have love Mei Ling before, but she is she and you are you. I love you not because you look like her. I love you, because of who you are. Ling'er, will you give me a chance to love you? To show to you, how much special you are to me?" Mu Xin's thumb rubbed Yi Ling's lips. They were so red, he remembered how it tasted like. He could feel Yi Ling's heart beat getting faster. Her eyes were looking at his, drowning on his words.

"Ling'er? Will you let me love you with all I have?". Mu Xin leaned down and put his forehead to hers. There was only a slight gap between their faces. Yi Ling gulped, why was her heart beating fast again? Aren't I in love with King Jin? Why does Mu Xin's eyes feel more warm and comforting than what she feels with King Jin. Everytime she looks at King Jin, her heart would feel pain and sad.

" I ... I don't know.. ". Is the only words she could say. She was confused between the two. Somehow, she likes it everytime that Mu Xin touch her, tease her, his confession, his love and his kiss. Her eyes couldn't help but look at his lips. She gulped.

Mu Xin felt their connection. It was pulling him to kiss her.

"Ling'er.."

He lifted her face to his. Their lips touch and their hearts throbbed. Unlike King Jin's hot kisses, Mu Xin was gentle. Afraid of hurting her. Mu Xin pulled Yi Ling closer, Yi Ling kissed him back. Her body seems to automatically respond to his, Her hands wrapped around Mu Xin's neck. They kissed for a long time, until they ran out of breath.

Yi Ling blushed, she didn't know what just happened to her. Is this considered cheating? Yet King Jin couldn't even remember her at all. Mu Xin smiled at the shy Yi Ling, he licked his lips.

"Give me time to think. Please. I'm so confused at the moment." Yi Ling said it fast and broke from Mu Xin's hug. She then left the Ring, as fast as she could. She didn't wanna stay any longer. She was afraid that she will give in to Mu Xin's kisses. She touched her lips and blushed. The whole time, she was comparing the two together. She felt extremely bad. What was going on with her heart? At the same time, her brain was telling her that King Jin and her wasn't really in a relationship.

She was so frustrated that she messed up her hair and jumped to the bed. Although she just woke up not too long ago, her head felt very tired.
