The Fallen Consort

When everyone entered the hall, Mu Xin placed a barrier to avoid being heard or seen. He placed a great importance on how hard Yi Ling covers her real appearance. It might sound silly but not to Yi Ling. Her countenance had brought a calamity to anyone she loves. She didn't want it to happen again, if she could help it.

Yi Ling sat down to the throne like chair in the middle of the Hall. All Elders sat down to their respective chairs on either side, one step below her. Xiang He kneeled down in front of the Sect Master.

"The Azure Kingdom had targeted Xiang He and tried to kill him. Good thing that I placed a life and death spell on his mask. It would notify me if Xiang He's life is at risk, as well as it's location." Yi Ling rubbed her chin, she still didn't want to divulge Mu Xin's existence. Also, Haoran doesn't know about him as well. Since he wasn't contracted to Yi Ling, there wasn't a need to.

Linyu's forehead furrowed, the Azure Kingdom? "Master, why is the Azure Kingdom targeting Xiang He?"

"I believe it's connected to Xiang Ren, they must've been his backer. Now that Xiang Ren is dead, they must've thought that it's a matter of time before Xiang He would take revenge." Yi Ling looked at Xiang He. He was stunned as he listened in. It didn't occurred to him that his uncle had a powerful backer as well!

"Before I say anything more about my future plans with them, Something happened to Xiang He. When he was on the verge of dying, I made him drink a special concoction. I didn't expect the results would be beyond my imagination. Xiang he, release your aura." Yi Ling ordered.

Xiang He removed his mask and released his aura. He was shocked! He knew he had a breakthrough but not to a different stage! He was now an Emergent stage. The mask did its job on concealing his powers, that he too wasn't able to tell! It was beyond unbelievable!

The highest in the mid-rank Kingdoms were only on 7th Rank of the Nascent Stage. It was rare for someone to breakthrough to an Emergent Stage. If one does, he'd be around a 100 years old and would be recruited in the High-Rank Kingdom. It was one of their dreams to be a member those Kingdoms! Xiang He was still 19! This news would certainly bring an uproar to the Mid-rank Kingdoms!

"As you can see, I accidentally helped him breakthrough 4 ranks. Resulting for him to be in the 1st rank of Emergent Stage. I might be able to make more of this for you Linyu and Tefei. But I would need to gain more herbs. To do this, we need to start the task system. Also, I made a big batch of concoctions with Tefei. Linyu, I will entrust this to you. Give the disciples their first monthly medical allowance." Yi Ling waved his sleeves and a space bag floated to Linyu.

"Yes Master!" Linyu accepted the bag and hide it inside her sleeve.

"Another thing, I would personally make Xiang He as my direct disciple. Meaning, I would personally instruct him. Do you accept this Xiang He?" Yi Ling looked at Xiang He. At the moment, his jaw dropped. He can't believe it! From a subordinate to a direct disciple! How great is his luck! To be personally instructed by the Sect Master Yi!

"Yes! Xiang He pays respect to Master Yi!" Xiang He kowtowed to his Master. Indicating that he was acknowledging Yi Ling as his master.

"Great!" Yi Ling nodded. She just tricked the Emperor, it made her giggled inside. She then looked towards Haoran. Haoran had never seen her real countenance and he didn't know that she was a woman as well. Yi Ling wanted to rope in this Tree as well, before revealing everything.

"Haoran! Come forth! Xiang He, take a couple steps back." Yi Ling ordered.

Haoran was puzzled, he looked at Linyu and was given a glare instead. Linyu nodded for him to follow. He always waited for his King's orders before following Yi Ling.

When Haoran was standing in front of Yi Ling, Yi Ling smiled. Too bad he couldn't see it, it would've show what she was planning.

"Minzhe, come here to mother." Yi Ling gestured Minzhe to come closer. Xiang He's heard the "mother" again. It made him confused but never the less, he didn't voice it out.

Mu Xin had told Yi Ling of a way to subdue Haoran. For it, He needed Minzhe's help.

Minzhe looked at his mother, puzzled but obediently followed her order. Since he already made a mistake earlier, he didn't think that his mother wanted to be honest rather than covering the truth. He walked and stand beside her.

"Mother?" Minzhe looked at his mother.

"Transform back, I like you better the other way. It makes me feel weird looking at you like this." Yi Ling shivered. Minzhe's ??du??t form looks 5 years older than her.

Hearing the order, Minzhe waved his sleeves and turn himself into a 5 year old kid. He then took off his mask. Yi Ling gestured him to come to her arms. Minzhe smiled and went for it. He loves hugging his mother.

"Now, now. Be a good boy and listen to mother." Yi Ling lifted Minzhe up to her embrace as they sat together in the chair.

"Yes mother." Minzhe nodded and smiled. He felt relieved that his mother wasn't mad at him at all.

"Minzhe, what stage are you?" Yi Ling leaned to his ear and whispered it. She didn't wanna alert Haoran.

Minzhe pursed his lips, It was embarrassing for him. Since his father had become a madman, it was hard for anyone to pass Sainthood. Luckily, he was a deity.

"I'm a Supreme Saint". Though he wasn't in the God Stages yet, it was an accomplishment already for him.

Yi Ling didn't know what a Supreme Saint was, but she knew that it was stronger than a Sainthood. Mu Xin promised to educate her about this later on, when she gets into Sainthood.

"Can you help me subdue Haoran? I need to make a contract with him" Yi Ling looked at the toddler's eyes. She sometimes forget that this kid was strong, he looks so innocent and vulnerable.

"Hmm." Minzhe rubbed his chin and then nodded. He whispered something back to his mother before getting off her embrace. He walked towards Linyu and smiled.

Linyu was puzzled, He didn't heard their conversation. Minzhe pulled Linyu's hand and walked towards Haoran. Everyone's eyes were focused on them.

Minzhe made Linyu stand in front of Haoran. He transformed back to his ??du??t form and whispered to him that Yi Ling wanted to make a contract with Haoran. Minzhe needed Linyu's cooperation to do this.

Linyu finally understood what was going on, he nodded to Minzhe. He was willing to cooperate. Minzhe smiled and looked back to his mother. He had an evil glint in his eyes. Yi Ling was waiting for her cue.

Minzhe only need to make Haoran lose his defenses and his right judgement. Once he was unaware what was happening, Yi Ling just needed to put her blood in Haoran's forehead. Once the contract was done, Haoran can't undo it. Even if he threw a fit, his father Mu Xin will act into play. He knew how obsessed his father was to his mother. He would never let anything happen to her.

Minzhe walked behind Haoran and peeked at Linyu. Linyu nodded, He really didn't know the plan but he was ready to hold Haoran if he needs to.

"Don't move." Minzhe told Haoran. It was the perfect angle to subdue him. Haoran didn't moved, Linyu was in front of him. He didn't dare do anything.

Before anyone could react, Haoran lips landed on Linyu's. Everyone was stunned, Yi Ling's jaw dropped. Is that my cue!???

Linyu and Haoran's eyes were wide. What the hell??!!
