The Fallen Consort

Yi Ling had brought the little girl, a little bit down from the peak. She didn't need to stay far, she knew that she could at least hold long enough to "interview" this kid. Sooner or later, Minzhe will be able to solve the Formation and open the gates again. She needed to be quick.

They were currently standing near a creek. The little girl was surprisingly quiet and only waited for Yi Ling to speak.

Yi Ling took a deep breath, she knew that there were things that are going to be beyond her. Yet, she didn't like walking blind. She needed to know, who her enemies are. It seems like Mu Xin was determined to shield her and she hated it. She wanted to stand next to him, fight with him.

If Mu Xin and King Jin are one and the same, then why did he hid this fact from her? Why were there two persons existing at the same time? Why were they totally opposite? Qianru might not know the reason for this, since she was injured and had gotten lost. But, she should be able to at least explain to her regarding Mu Xin's identity.

"I ask the questions and you answer. Truthfully! I had enough of all the lies and secrecy!" Yi Ling clenched her fist, the fury within her heart was growing. She didn't know why, but she really was mad. Her anger was genuine, as if it was hidden there for a long time.

"Yes, Master." Qianru replied. Anything that her Master needed to know, she was willing to answer. She follows only her and her alone. She had already pledge her life to her Master.

No matter who she was now, her soul was one and the same. Luckily, their faces looked exactly the same too. It was no doubt that this woman in front of her, was Meiling! Added the fact that King Jin was with her.

By the looks of it, she doesn't know a thing about him. That's why she could feel the anger in her Master's heart. Even though they haven't made a contract physically, their souls was intertwined. Her old Master Meiling had done so. In order to find each other again, when time comes. It was like her Master had a premonition, that she would die soon.

"Who are you?" Yi Ling didn't bother looking at her, she was currently looking at her reflection in the water.

"My name is Qianru. I am the spirit that lives within the Divine Harmony Bow." Qianru was looking at her Master's back. She didn't dare moved or added any personal words.

"Who do you think I am?" Yi Ling gulped. Her hands was getting sweaty, she already had an inkling in her heart. The moment Qianru yelled as "Master". It was the same feeling she had felt, when Minzhe called her "mother".

"You are the Master of the Divine Harmony Bow, as well as my Master." Qianru replied.

"Name! Give me my name!" Yi Ling yelled. Her breathing was getting rough. Her brow's crossed, she was getting furious.

"Jin Meiling."

"My Master's name is Jin Meiling. That is your name." Qianru answered. She wasn't bothered that her Master was yelling at her. She knew that her Master wasn't mad at her. It was those people from earlier! This makes her mad as well.

Hearing that name again, Yi Ling almost fell down. Luckily, Qianru was behind her. Yi Ling regained her strength and stood up properly. She looked at Qianru. "Why do you think so?."

"Before my Master died, she made our souls connected to each other. I believe that, She predicted that she will die soon. She promised me that she will get reincarnated and to look for me. That's why she connected our souls together. Only a Deity will be able to do this. No regular human can." Qianru explained.

"A Deity? Are you saying that Meiling is a Deity? and not a human?" Yi Ling's mind was getting muddier. There really was more to the story, more than meets the eye as they say.

"Yes. She is a Deity. She didn't know this until the very end. That was when she confronted King Jin . She had always thought that King Jin created her, making her as his little sister." Qianru studied Yi Ling's facial expressions. She knew that it might be hurtful to say all this, but her Master had to know.

"What do you mean!? They aren't related!?" Yi Ling had always questioned this fact. Why would two siblings fall for each other. Even herself wouldn't be able to blame the God's, who revolted against their ɨnċėst relationship.

"What I only know is that, Master came from the same world as King Jin. He didn't exactly said this, it was you Master who said this." Qianru wasn't sure of this detail. Before she could even ask, Her master died right after.
