The Fallen Consort

Chapter 120 - The Truth (2)

"I said it? Tell me exactly everything! what happened in that lifetime?!" Yi Ling sat down beside a tree, unable to hide her shaking knees.

"Which part Master? From the very beginning?" Qianru asked. It would take a long while, if it did.

Yi Ling sighed. Which part indeed. This, she didn't know.

"Let's start with Mu Xin. Tell me what you know about him." Yi Ling closed her eyes and leaned on the tree. She was readying herself for the worst.

"Yes Master." Qianru bowed, as she readied her speech.

"Mu Xin's full name is Jin MuXin, we call him King Jin for short. He created the Heaven and became the King. He claims himself as your "older brother", after he created you.

You and Him were inseparable. Everything went smoothly as far as when you created Huaxia and the Gates of Heaven. It wasn't until you created the link to Diyu and the Vengeful Spirits invaded the lands.

Endless onslaught and blood were sacrificed, It only stopped when you finally ended the war and crowned yourself as the Goddess of the land. We met during the war. Brother Tefei was your Right hand man. We then defeated our enemies side by side, together with Master.

One day, You came across a certain woman. At that time, I was ȧssigned with Brother Tefei. So I didn't really know the specifics. I only heard about it, from one of our soldiers. He said that some woman was looking for you and you guys talked.

Ater that, you became aloof. You became unapproachable and constantly not in a good mood. Even King Jin was suspicious of you, thinking that a Vengeful Spirit possessed you. But you proved it to him that you weren't.

I wasn't able to protect myself well and suffered a greater injury. Added the fact that, the war just ended in Huaxia. I also had some injuries from that war too. I was still trying to heal myself at that time.

I too, would've been destroyed. Luckily, you remembered my presence and protected me. But still, I was already injured." Qianru took a deep breath and kneeled in front of her Master.

Yi Ling's face became unsightly. The whole time she was listening, she had gritted her teeth. Her nails was almost drawing blood on her palms. Her eyes was still closed but there were tears slowly dripping on the corners.

Seeing her pain, Qianru was hurt as well.

"Master?"

"You said that we had a soul contract. How did that happened?" Yi Ling asked, her eyes were still closed shut.

"It was before you proved to King Jin that you weren't possessed. You ȧssigned a task to Brother Tefei far away, claiming that there are still Vengeful Spirits hiding on those remote Mountains. At that time, we didn't suspect anything. We just obediently followed your orders.

You then asked me to make a soul contract. That in case something happens to you, You will still be able to find me. The odd thing about it is, You have asked me to tell you all this, whenever we meet again. At first, I didn't understand what you meant. Now I do, You died and reincarnated. You have forgotten your memories and wanted to know of them when you returned." That's how Qianru deduce that her Master had a premonition of her death. But how? Is that the reason why she was with her, when her Master confronted King Jin? So she will be able to convey what happened to them that day? Qianru's eyes flashed at the realization. No wonder! She exclaimed.

Yi Ling sighed, she was trying so hard not to cry. She felt betrayed and hurt. The fury inside her only added to the pain. Mu Xin was right, there were things that she wasn't ready for. Things that she wouldn't be able to handle well. She then remembered, if that's how she died on her first life. How did she died on her second? How come King Jin had a son with her? Surely, he was able to recognized her.

And who was that woman? Whatever was their conversation, everything changed? What did she learn from that conversation? Why did she have to die in Mu Xin's hand? Some truth that he didn't want her to know? What was he trying to hide from her?

She doubt that anyone else knew about it. Only he would be able to answer or is she met with that woman again. For now, It all comes down to Mu Xin. If it was something really bad, did he really have to kill her? Was she not allowed to know of it? And if she did now, will he kill her again?

"Why? Why? WHYYYYYY!????" she yelled.

Yi Ling's tears flowed nonstop. She couldn't hide her sobs anymore.

Qianru didn't know what to do. She had only seen her Master cried once. It was also the day that she confronted King Jin. Her Master was always prim and proper. She was considered as the Queen of heaven, as well as the Goddess of Huaxia.

Being on the throne, she was meant to rule. Qianru had never seen a weak side of her Master. She was always vigilant and with proper mannerisms. Her Master was always clean and regal. She never yelled to her subordinates nor killed without valid reasons. Everyone adored and worshipped her. She too, didn't understand why King Jin killed her.

Seeing her sobbing Master, Qianru could feel how painful her Master must've experiencing right now. She only wished that her Master would have a better life this time.
