The Fallen Consort

Returning back to the Peak of the Red Pass Mountain, should only take around a week or two. Yet Yi Ling wasn't in a hurry.

At this time, she proceeded to practice her combat abilities with her son Minzhe and Qianru.

Yi Ling asked the two for them to take turns with her. She wanted to do this, so she will have a grasp with her own abilities. First is to increase her ability to detect the enemies movements and Second is for familiarizing herself with her own strength.

Although Yi Ling wanted to use Qianru as a bow and practice with it, Qianru wasn't ready for it. Her spirit wasn't fully healed all the way yet, because she disrupted herself during the healing process. It was one of the reasons why she had to get back. In order of Qianru to fully get her spirit in shape.

Since Minzhe and Qianru was way stronger than her, Yi Ling swallowed two concoction. One was for speed and the other was to conceal her aura. The only way for her to get an advantage, was to sneak attack behind her opponents.

Yi Ling sat in the middle of a clearing inside a forest. Qianru was at the tree observing her master and Minzhe.

Minzhe hid around the forest, looking for an opportunity to attack. Yi Ling on the other hand, closed her eyes and feel her surroundings.

One of Muxin's instructions before, was how to perceive one's aura. Yi Ling could feel the difference between the spiritual energy and one's own spiritual aura. Since Qianru was just idly sitting, her aura was prominent on her exact location.

However, Minzhe's aura was different. He was constantly moving about, making sure that his aura was untraceable. He moved all around Yi Ling until he appeared behind his mother and hugged her.

Seeing the two, Qianru rolled her eyes. It basically wasn't a friendly match, but it was a start. Yi Ling had to grasp someone's aura first, so she could be able to detect her enemies movements.

When she felt Minzhe's hugged from behind, it was already too late. Yi Ling could've died in that one move. She sighed.

This session went on and on, taking turns with Qianru. If Minzhe hugged her mother, Qianru would tap her master's shoulder. Their journey going back home took three months.

They avoided cities or kingdoms as they decided to sleep outside than find an inn to stay for the night. They weren't scared of animals or spiritual beasts to attack them in the wild, but there were bandits who prey on them.

Minzhe and Qianru might be a strong opponents for Yi Ling, but the Bandits was a good practice to her. Worst comes to worst, they could always help Yi Ling out when she isn't able to subdue her enemies in time. But for Yi Ling, she gave it her all so that the two didn't have to.

It was certainly a good opportunity for her to grow, as well as learn her ways. She was as a fast learner, it was as if Meiling's combat abilities was passed down to her. She wasn't able to remember Meiling's combat memories but her body seems to be able to move by themselves. Dodging and hitting on the right spots.

By the time they have reach the edge of Xiang Kingdom, it had been 5 months since Yi Ling left the area. Her journey became fruitful and she was able to breakthrough to the 1st Rank of Emergent Stage.

When Minzhe was about to appeared behind her, she was able to dodge and hugged him instead. This made the two surprised at the sudden change of course. It only took 3 Months for Yi Ling to be able to find an opening with someone who was 3 stages higher than her, as well as being able to perceive a much fainter aura. The stronger a person is, the more difficult it was to perceive their aura.

When it was Qianru's turn, Yi Ling was able to tap Qianru's shoulders back. It was a great feeling for Yi Ling to accomplish it, within a short amount of time.
