The Fallen Consort

As Tefei and Linyu entered the chamber, they instantly went inside the Ring. Muxin was still sitting at the hill. as if he was waiting.

"King Jin. My Master is back." Tefei kneeled in front of Muxin.

Of all the people that was close to Yi Ling. Only Tefei respected Muxin. Even though he was angry at him as some point, he wasn't as muddled headed. He knew that Muxin really did love his Master and for that, he was willing to respect Muxin.

Muxin didn't reply, he only looked up at the cloudless sky. Even though he was looking up, it was as if he was thinking something else.

"Aren't we going to welcome Master back?" Linyu was anxious. Now that his Master was back, he couldn't wait any longer. Tefei didn't reply. He got up and waited for Muxin to say something.

Not long after, Muxin let out a deep sighed. "You will do no such thing. If she comes back because of us, it's only natural that she will come here. If she didn't return because of us, just let her be."

Even though he said this like it didn't matter to him. Tefei and Linyu knew that if there was one person who was more affected with Yi Ling's absence, It would be Jin Muxin.

They both nodded and left the ring. What else were there to say?

Muxin sighed again when they left. When Yi Ling left 5 months ago, he felt the same pain he had felt two times before. Even though he wanted to go after her, he just couldn't. His own body doesn't even remember her, much less ran after her.

Just then, Muxin caught a movement inside the Sect Master's Chamber. His brows crossed at the sudden intrusion. "Why the Short trip? Why are you here? Is you mother really back?". He looked at a certain direction, just then Minzhe showed up inside the Ring.

"Father, mother is indeed back. She asked me to bring you to her. She'd like to see you first before anyone else." Minzhe gulped. When his mother told him about this earlier, he could still see the pain in his mother's eyes. Up until now, he didn't know what made his mother suddenly wanting to come back.

"Hmm. Okay." Muxin stood up and waved his sleeves. With a gust of wind, the dirt on his white robes was gone. He had been sitting on the hill for months.

Muxin then looked at his son, Minzhe was in his ȧduŀt form. Although Minzhe wasn't a full fledged Deity because of Yang Hualing's human form, Muxin could still see that Minzhe will be able to have 6 wings in the future. All though his mother was a human, her soul was still a Deity. It was only a matter of time before the Deity's powers inside Minzhe will be awaken. By then, those people would certainly know of it. They would then target his wife and his son. Muxin clenched his fist inside his sleeves.

All these years, he had been thinking of ways to get himself stronger. There was one way, but it was dangerous. In his current form, there was no way for him to do it. Only by getting back to his body, will he be able to accomplish it. "How is your mother? Is she well this days?" Muxin then asked.

"Physically, yes. Mother is alright. Emotionally, you would have to see yourself." Minzhe bowed and left the Ring. Minzhe cut his conversation with his father short, since his mother was waiting for them. He picked up the Ring and stealthily left the Sect.

Seeing his son's sudden appearance and disappearance, his mouth twitched. "Just like his mother. They just won't let me talk and left instantly." Muxin sighed and shook his head in disapproval.
