"I know that you are scared of them. I too, am scared. But Muxin, sooner or later you have to tell me. Not only will you and I be targeted by them, but also our son and the people in this land and your heaven.

You wanted to know what she told me that day? Why she decided to hand me the dagger, instead of just killing me?" Yi Ling took a step closer to Muxin.

Hearing where their conversation was heading, Muxin felt a sudden pain in his heart. He knew exactly who she was talking about.

"She was hoping for me to get angry with you and she did accomplished it. I did wanted to kill you. That was her plan and you, protecting yourself would end up killing me. What she didn't expected though was you didn't want to kill me. She was looking at us that day, I saw her in my peripheral vision.

Since I awoken my powers that day, I was able to perceive her aura more stronger than you. Im guessing that you didn't saw her." Yi Ling shrugged. Muxin only stared at her, not answering. His mind was jumbled with questions and answers.

"Still I had you kill me, since I knew that you wouldn't do it. so I've done it, so she wouldn't target you. She also didn't know that I have fallen for you." Yi Ling took another step closer and didn't look anywhere than his eyes.

She could see the conflicted emotions in Muxin's eyes. It really must've hurt him that day.

"A tooth for a tooth, they say. You killed my family and I made you shoulder this burden. Still, I'm not sorry. It was just right for you to shoulder this burden since you have killed innocent lives.

That's why I was angry with you that day and up until now. I couldn't understand why you have done so, but I believe that you must've had your own reasons. Especially for rebelling against your king." Yi Ling smiled mockingly.

"How much do you remember? It seems like you knew more than what you are saying." Muxin clenched his fist inside his sleeve. He felt disturbed and anxious. He remembered how angry was his wife that day. He couldn't even control her nor reasoned her out. He was afraid of it happening again.

"Just those, don't worry. But in time I will remember. The more I unlocked my seals, the more I'll remember. So you wouldn't be able to lie to me again." Yi Ling glared at him. Muxin didn't replied.

"When I reincarnated again, you still didn't told me. Funny, I even chased you for a 100 years." Yi Ling chuckled.

Muxin's eyes widen again. "You remember?"

That would only mean one thing, she knew that him and King Jin are one and the same.

Yi Ling took another step. They were now only two steps apart. "Its nice to meet you again, King Jin, or should I say... My husband?." She said bitterly.

Muxin heart felt like someone gave it a squeeze. His wife, his wife finally remembered him. This, he closed the gap in between them. He didn't cared anymore if she was mad at him or what. Right now, all he care was to bring his wife back into his arms.
