The Fallen Consort

Yi Ling stood stiffly and not responding to Muxin hug. She honestly don't hate him and yet she couldn't bring herself to be okay as well. Although everything that happened was on her past life, the emotions was still there.

Muxin could feel her cold demeanor and withdrew. There was a hint of anger on her eyes.

"I'm sorry, I was carried away." Muxin took a step back.

Yi Ling saw the sadness in Muxin's light blue eyes. She felt a slight pain in her heart. It must've something to do with Yang Hualing, she thought.

Her hand grabbed his sleeve instinctively, as if her body speaks more volumes than her.

"I.. I am still mad at you." She said.

Muxin stop moving when Yi Ling grabbed a hold of him. "I know and I am sorry. At that time, I did what I had to. To help you escape."

"Escape from the King?" she asked.

Muxin only nodded.

"Why did you kill them then?" No matter how she thought about it, even Meiling didn't know the answer.

Muxin looked at her in the eye. Though her hair and eye color was different and her body was still small. He could already picture her as Meiling, her gaze was the same. Seemingly mocking and accusing him of his actions, like that day.

"I did to save you. I wanted to tell you that day, but you wouldn't let me speak. Your family wanted you dead. It up to you if you believe it or not." Muxin clenched his fist. Remembering those family of hers, they even laughed behind her. Saying how she was an abomination, a monster and that she deserves to die. It was a good reason enough to kill them. Being the General of the King, he had a special weapon. Like the King's knife, Muxin had a sword. It was a sword that had never seen the light of day again. He had hidden it extremely well. "Why do they want me dead?" Yi Ling felt the shiver on her arm. How could ones family what her dead. Especially with someone's same blood running through their veins.

"For the King." He replied.

Yi Ling sighed, yes that was logical. The King or the Emperor's words are the law. No matter what kingdom one lives, they are subjected to that ruler.

"Ling'er, I.." Muxin wanted to tell her about everything, just that he didn't know where to begin with.

"Don't. I came back because I wanted your help. I want you to help me unlock all of my seals. I want to regain my memories by myself. You don't have to tell me about anything, as you've said. Only she could save them.

Muxin gave a slight smile and didn't agree nor disagreed. No matter what, he knew that his wife was smart. Smarter than anyone from their Kingdom. That was one of the reasons why she attracted the King's attention. She became a buŧŧerfly in midst of the moths.

"Although I am weak. Muxin, I am not a child! If I am who you think I am and if it really is my destiny, then I will fight for it! Fight for my own freedom, For I am not a child! I don't want you to shield me, instead I want to stand beside you." Yi Ling took a step closer to him.

We vowed up to the heavens, in sickness and in health. That I Meiling, Hualing and Yi Ling, will love you and will stand beside you as your Wife." Yi Ling then grab on his left hand and lifted it up on front of them. Slowly intertwining them together.
