The Fallen Consort

"Sect Master Murong Feiyu, the King wanted to rest today and declined to see any visitors. Perhaps another day?" Yu Ran bowed respectfully.

Murong Feiyu sneered. It had always been like this. Unless something really crops up, the King doesn't want to see anybody. "Did you mentioned that I have an important matter to discuss with the King?"

"Yes, this lowly one did. The King mentioned that if you have a message, you may convey it to this servant." LIE, LIE, LIE, LIE! He thought. How could he even mentioned it when the King left before he could even say anything else? Plus, everyone knows that the Sect Master Murong Feiyu is just trying to seduce the King. Hmmph! Too late! Our King has a son and Imperial Consort already! Just when did it happen though?  This was a puzzling event, even to him.

Sect Master Murong Feiyu gritted her teeth. No matter! The King would surely fall for her. It was only a matter of time! She had already pushed all her rivals away from the King. Only she can stand beside the King and become his Queen!

With this conclusion, she smiled gracefully and said. "It seems that the King is tired. No matter, please tell the King that I will visit him again next time. The matters aren't urgent and it could wait. I will take my leave now." She then turned around and left, followed by her servants.

Yu Ran let out a lump of air. If there was another power that could rival his King in heaven, it would be the Fiery Dragon Sect. Compare to the King's power, they were only ants to his eyes. But to the people, they were still powerful. This Sect was handled by Murong Feiyu herself.

She had become a strong figure. The Murong family had become one of the highest distinguished families in Heaven. Heaven is big and was governed by different powers and Sect, but all of them answers to one King only. Picture it this way. On the whole continent, there are different countries govern by different leaders. Jin Kingdom is only a small part of Heaven but it was the most powerful and holds the most authority. The reason is, the Jin Kingdom governs the whole Heaven continent. Keeping the other country leaders in check. So no matter what, they all have to answer to the King. For this, no other monarch existed in Heaven. They could either call themselves Lords or Master, but never as a King nor Emperor.

Of course, there were people who didn't like this arrangement. They all wanted to surpass the King and become Royals themselves. Unfortunately, they could not surpass his powers. Those who have tried to revolt had been vanquished immediately. The Golden Knights were the most powerful group in Heaven. They weren't even an army and yet ten thousand sainthood army wasn't even their match. The King didn't even have to use his own hands to remove these obstacles.

It was rumored that the King had live more millions of years already and had never aged past 25. He was an immortal, the same as the Golden Knights. The Golden Knights had been granted immortality by the God himself. Because of this, everyone believes that the King is a GOD. A powerful GOD who was worthy of respect and admiration.

Since the Queen's seat was open, everyone fought for his attention. Unfortunately, the King was cold and aloof. Not letting anyone near him nor were they able to even see him much. He stays inside his Palace, rejecting anyone if there weren't any urgent matters for him to handle. There was even a time that nobody had seen the King and the Golden Knights for more than 20 years and everyone thought that something bad happened to him. Because of this, some tried to see if this news were true and some tried to use this excuse to revolt.

As if he knew their plans, as soon as they acted they had been caught by the Golden Knights. The King even publicly showed himself that he was fine, just lazy to go out nor meet people. From then on, they just viewed the King as a person who can't be bothered. As long as Heaven was at peace, he wouldn't show himself to his people.

Even then, some were still unhappy. They didn't want to be under the King's control. They wanted to have their own individual powers. They all tried too hard to uncover the King's secret and weakness. Unfortunately, no one could penetrate the Jin Palace. Each time they sent someone, they would not return back alive. Even if they tried to bribe someone inside the palace, that person would die if he or she accepted it.

Because of this situation, they could only try to push someone to seat on the throne beside him. The Queen's throne. Unfortunately, no matter what they say or do, the King wouldn't agree. If someone insisted, they would be punished with insubordination. Since no one can contend with the King's power, no one would side them even if they try to throw dirty water on the King's face. If known, they would be killed.

The King was known as a cold person. Anyone he dislikes would be killed. Even then, everyone respected him because he was a good King. As long as nobody tries to mess with him, he would treat all his people with prosperity. All would live a peaceful and healthy life. Since then, it had been peaceful for so many years.

Yu Ran sighed. Now that he had known that the King already has a son and a woman he liked, it would only be a matter of time when Heaven wouldn't be at peace again. Surely, someone would take this as an opportunity to revolt or cause chaos in the Jin Kingdom. He could only hope that the new Imperial Consort would be strong enough to handle these kinds of matters. For only if she is strong, would she be able to stand up tall next to the King himself.
