The Fallen Consort

By the time Mu Xin arrived in the hill. Linyu, Tefei and Jin Minzhe was standing at the top of the hill. They were all waiting for Mu Xin's commands. They all knew how powerful Mu Xin is. Just that, he couldn't go outside. Aside from forming a formation for Yi Ling outside the Ring, he could never come out. When Yi Ling gets her Seventh Seal removed, is the time that he will be able to get out. Only she will be able to do it, but then will she release him? Once she remembers everything, will she not loath him?

"Father, what do you want me to do? I can't stand that madman yet all of us know that I can't take him down. He is powerful than me. Only you could take him down." Jin Minzhe's anger was evident. His face was red and his fist was clenched.

"I can straighten the formation that you have made, but you must not let him get close to Yi Ling. If he does, there's a chance that he would recover some of his memories if he sees the Ring." Mu Xin patted Jin Minzhe's shoulder. Unfortunately, King Jin knows about the Sapphire Jade Ring and its pass owner. Mu Xin didn't know that Yi Ling had met King Jin when her soul drifted away, since Yi Ling also didn't mentioned it.

"I understand. What about Linyu and Tefei?" Jin Minzhe asked.

Mu Xin eyed the angry tree. The Eternal Oak itself and Linyu was shaking. It was mad as hell. Linyu was there when everything happened. Unfortunately, Tefei was too. Just that, he lost his memories like King Jin. Tefei suffered a rebound and lost most of his cultivation as well as his memories. It was only when Yi Ling contracted the Sapphire Jade Ring, when he slowly started regaining back his memories. That was why he was a little bit off when the Ring had a new owner. Mu Xin can never tell Yi Ling about this, just not now. It wasn't time yet.

"Let me see that jerk! I wanna tear him piece by piece!" Linyu was beyond mad. It was that jerk that killed his previous master!

"You know you can't see him! He'll recognize you! Might as well say that the Ring is here! Once he knows that the Ring is here, he will remember everything! And then what? Lose your master again?! Do you want to remember how you felt when you lost your previous master?! You and I both know that this isn't the right time! Once he remembers everything, is the day I get out of here! Only then can we make everything right! Only then can we guarantee Yi Ling's safety!" Mu Xin can't help but yell. Linyu was always a hard-headed spirit. He will never listened to anyone unless it was his master.

Linyu screamed. "AHHHHH!!!!" He pulled his hair as he shouted. It's driving him nuts! He wanted to protect his new master , as well as get revenge for his previous one. But how can he? It wasn't time yet as Mu Xin says. If the two did meet, a lot of bad consequences would happen. Especially for Yi Ling.

Tefei was quiet. Although he wasn't able to talk, he understood very well. He remembered some of his earlier life, But he can't do anything about it right now. So he just sat there and listened. He too hated that man, but he also hated Mu Xin. This he didn't dare say.

Jin Minzhe sighed. He was concerned about his mother's safety as well. There were really in a difficult situation. It seems like no one could stop the madman from coming here. They could only hope to bring Yi Ling else where, yet they all knew well at how good at tracking King Jin was.

Mu Xin rubbed his temples. It wasn't time. It just wasn't. He knew that King Jin must've felt the pain when Yi Ling removed her second seal. It just, he was too fast. But then again, He was too powerful. That's why he ruled the Heaven and Huaxia before.

Yi Ling was still inside Mu Xin's chamber. She was trying to figure out why was her heart beating faster for Mu Xin. Since Mu Xin told her to stay, she decided to roam around his courtyard. It was a rare chance to get to know Mu Xin more. But why was she wanting to know more about Mu Xin? She thought. Her mind was all jumbled together. She didn't know that she reached Mu Xin's study room, when she literally bumped into the door.

Curious, she went inside and looked around. Since the door wasn't locked, she figured that Mu Xin wasn't afraid for her snooping in. There shouldn't be any harm done in doing so. She chuckled.

As she got inside, there were rows and rows of books. Most of them were about spiritual herbs, cultivation techniques, spiritual beasts, history about huaxia and even legendary figures' life stories. She didn't know that Mu Xin was this well informed. Yi Ling skimmed some of the books and decided to ask Mu Xin later to allow her to study them. With great knowledge, comes with great power as they say. After all, she wanted to grow stronger.

As she reached end of the study room, she halted. There was a painting of a very beautiful woman, behind Mu Xin's desk. She had a crown on her head and she was dress in white and gold robe. She was pose regally and she even looked like a Goddess.

What made her halted was the woman's face. The woman looks exactly like her. Long brown hair, Brown eyes and those red lips. Yet the picture looked very old. It couldn't have been just recently painted. She then notice the other paintings beside it. It all had Yi Ling's face. From her 10 year old to current. How she looked when she hunted with Tefei and how she was dressed like a man. There were also when she dressed like a girl, a dress she never wore. It looked like a painter's imagination, the what ifs. There was also when she started wearing her mask, as well as when she was in coma. She looked very beautiful, even when sleeping.

She could almost feel the pain that the painter felt. All the paintings except for the regal woman was newly painted. Yi Ling could feel Mu Xin's deep love for her. He must've been really sad when her soul drifted away. Yi Ling started crying. She felt a very deep pain inside her ċhėst. Like something was waking up inside her. Her hand gripped the corner of the desk as she tried to keep herself up. There were a lot of questions inside her head. Yet it seems like nobody can tell her the answers.

Yi Ling was starting to have a hard time breathing. The pain was getting stronger. It felt all too familiar. Her body got weaker and weaker. Something was tearing her heart out. That something was starting to open by itself. It was her Third Seal.
