The Fallen Consort

Suddenly, Mu Xin felt the same pain that Yi Ling was enduring. His face was getting red and his veins was popping out. He fell to his knees and clenched his ċhėst.

"Father!" Jin Minzhe was shocked to see his father's sudden actions.

"Your mother! GO SEE YOUR MOTHER!" Instead of accepting Jin Minzhe's help, he told him to go see her. It must've been her Third Seal. But why now? He didn't gave her the prescription for unlocking the Third Seal!

Jin Minzhe's eyes went wide. He didn't hesitated and rushed towards the west courtyard. When he saw the chamber was empty, he went towards the study. That was the only other thing that could make his father's reaction like that. Did mother saw it? Did mother saw the paintings that his father drew? Did mother saw her previous self?

When he finally reached the study, he saw her mother sitting on a chair. Surprisingly, she was still conscious. She was staring at the regal woman.

Jin Minzhe stopped his tracks, right beside his mother. He didn't know how to explain this, neither could he tell what his mother was thinking.

"Mother?" Jin Minzhe transformed himself into a 5 year old and hold his mother's hand.

Yi Ling jerked back to reality and looked at Jin Minzhe. Seeing the small child in front of her. Her heart melted. Her eyes were red, there were still tears in it.

"Mother? Are you alright? I can explain this." Jin Minzhe was scared. He could see the anger in his mother's eyes. What happened to her? Was she mad because she saw her face on the paintings? She was happy earlier with his father. He thought that they were already together, since they were acting like lovers in front of him.

Yi Ling looked at Jin Minzhe and then looked at the Regal Woman. She knew then what to do. Yi Ling got up and picked up Jin Minzhe. Jin Minzhe was confused but he didn't said anything, afraid to break the silence.

Yi Ling walked out the study and saw Mu Xin running towards her. When Mu Xin's saw her coming out of his study room, he figured out what happened. Yi Ling must've trigger the third seal herself that got it unlocked. It was both good and bad news.

"Ling'er? I can explain. Please let me explain." He stood in front of Yi Ling and held her waist. Jin Minzhe was in between them. They looked like a family, embracing like that. Yi Ling had a poker face the whole time. She looked at Mu Xin as she recalled something that just happened.

"Save my husband and son. I will grant you my powers, as long as you save them. Allow me to shoulder your burdens as you shoulder mine." A voice said in Yi Ling's head, when she was having a hard time breathing earlier.

She then smiled and ċȧrėss Mu Xin's face. She didn't spoke at all, which made Mu Xin nervous. Linyu and Tefei was watching as well, behind Mu Xin. She then handed the young Jin Minzhe to Mu Xin and waved her sleeves. She disappeared in front of Mu Xin. Yi Ling went back to her body. Everyone was shocked.

"Ling'er!"

"Mother!"

"Master!"

They all cried out the same time as Yi Ling disappeared. They have never imagined this to happen. Yi Ling have always been obediently following Mu Xin's orders. She looked different when she came out of the study. Something had definitely happened to her that cause her to changed.
