One could hear the threat in Gu Jin's voice although he did not mention taking any action.

The tension in the Auction House could be severed in half by a sword from how thick it was.

The other disciples in the Auction House had long gone silent; even a pin could be heard if it was dropped right now. They were unwilling to admit they were inferior to both Mai Rong and Gu Jin, but how could they not have apprehension for these two?

Somewhere in the back of their minds, a voice was saying not to draw attention from these two. Some had already resolved to fight for the Soul Nourishing pill no matter what, but others had completely given up on the idea after learning more about Gu Jin and Mai Rong as well as seeing how they acted personally.


It was hard to not be intimidated, not only by their wealth but as well by the fact they were from the powerful Water Bound and Fire Bound Continent. This was not even mentioning the aura that was leaking from Gu Jin as he glared at Mai Rong.

Everyone could vaguely tell he was in the late stage of the Core Formation Realm, he might even be at the Peak of said realm.

Gu Jin was so close to entering the Nascent Realm but he hadn't reached twenty yet, just how talented was he?

Only the Three Peaks of the Maple Continent, as well as the Legacy Disciple of the Profound Sword Sect and elder brother of Lu Shin, Lu Xue Feng, had ever accomplished this feat in the two Continents' history.

Mai Rong didn't hesitate to state her demands as if anticipating this outcome.

Gu Jin hearing this scoffed and said.

"That's impossible, I'd rather cut off my arm!"

Gu Jin was extremely prideful as well as arrogant. Being forced to return something he had won, and that was now his, was as humiliating as it could get for him.

He truly meant it when he said he would rather cut off his arm.

"Then do it, remove your arm and hand it over."

Mai Rong said this with a hint of coldness in her voice.

Gu Jin ignored her and increased the bid.
