The Legend of Min Hong
Chapter 386: The Sarcophagus
These people had shouts of joy all over the plane as they saw their children and descendant begin to show symptoms of their bloodlines being awakened, and even the elders and the old ghosts who had previously found their cultivations stagnate began to feel a surge within their bloodlines that rippled across their cultivation and pushing them towards another breakthrough...
Though most could, but others couldn't; that didn't deter these people though, because the world had just begun to darken…
Min Hong on the other hand was still burning up with increasing temperature as Little Fei and Daniel began to feel the aura of the seal bloodline grow heavier and more sinister by the minute…
"I summoned you here the moment I felt a change in your aura…"
"It seems your bloodline is raring to awaken and might not wait for you to cultivate to the awakening stage before it breaks its seal…"
Old Man Li who had summoned Min Hong spoke as Min Hong asked;
"Is there anything detrimental to having it awaken without actually cultivating into the awakening stage?"
"Well, if you cultivate into the awakening stage, you will be able to direct the rate and the patter with which the bloodline affects your cultivation base and personality, and from what we have observed so far, you haven't gotten any shred of grip on that; and that is just its aura and not the real deal…"
"I find it a little strange that what I thought was the strongest bloodline in existence; The Dawn Sovereign Bloodline was easy to manipulate and control, and this one is total berserk, sinister and out of control…"
"I even hurt some people I care about…"
'Wait, I care about them right?' Min Hong thought mid-sentence as he began to feel another splitting headache crush him even within the 'Realm of Creations'…
"You shouldn't concern yourself about that for now, if the bloodline awakens before you reach the awakening stage, it would do as it wishes, and best case scenario, transform your cultivation technique and make you a devoted of the dark…"
"And worst case scenario?"
"You might experience another Qi deviation, and the bloodline takes complete control over your reasoning, and you become the passenger of your own life…"
Old Man Li explained as he tapped Min Hong's forehead sending a burst of Qi into it that reduced the splitting migraine he was having significantly…
"You are still too weak to handle the awakening of your bloodline, but I believe stepping into the spirit realm would help you a bit…"
"Forget about everything you have that makes you sad and unhappy, it would only make you weaker and have less control over the awakening process…"
Old Man Li rushed as he pushed Min Hong with his palm, sending him out of the 'Realm of Creations' and back to the outside worked where Min Hong found himself lying in his own pool of sweat…
He sat up abruptly frightening the duo taking care of him, and without even as much as a single word, he bolted out of the house and jumped high into the air as a portal appeared behind him followed by the exit of Little Ming who swooped him mid-air before bolting into another portal that opened up immediately the first one closed…
About a minute later…
Deep within the core court…
A portal appeared within a seemingly serene area, as Little Ming bolted out of the portal with anxiety…
Min Hong was already bleeding from his eyes, nose and ears, as he grabbed his head tightly…
Swoosh!
The sect leader appeared mid-air and was shocked to find Min Hong in such a miserable state;
"What happened?"
"Take me to the flame!"
Min Hong bellowed with a voice that sounded like that of the old, young, masculine and feminine specie of both beasts and human alike…
The sect leader felt his skin shrink and his hairs stood on end as he feared what was going on in front of him;
"Arrgghh!"
Min Hong howled into the skies which was now looking like evening time, and he knew that if he didn't get to that flame and breakthrough before midnight, people might enter the sect the next day and find only corpses strewn over the streets sucked dry of every life force and vitality…
"There!"
The sect leader hurriedly pointed deeper into the Main District where a small mountain seemed to reside;
Boom!
Little Ming bolted straight into the area…
Meanwhile…
Within the Main apartment in the Hong Dynasty, Min Qing was also on the bed with Min Qing, with the rest of the inner ring there with them as they watched squirm and scream in agony on the bed…
These guys didn't know how they could possibly help her, and because a similar thing was occurring all over the sect and even the entire plane of existence, everyone had their hands full…
Then as if the universe made a unanimous decision, all these descendants were locked into private, vault like rooms and left there alone, to awaken their bloodlines…
Those who survived would rise to glory and those who died would be termed as weak and unworthy of the bloodlines they have been gifted with by their ancestors…
Min Qing's hair were already all over the place, and whilst all these were happening, Min Rou suddenly held her abdomen as her spirit ring came out in its own accord and everyone were able to see that some parts were already turning red in color…
"What do we do?" Kun Lin asked in worry;
"Let's lock them up in different rooms and put every restriction formation we have on the rooms… This feels like something they would have to conquer by themselves…"
Mu Li spoke after searching his memories for every possible explanation to the scenario;
"Let's leave some spirit stones behind for them…"
Mu Bai added before they helped Min Rou out of the room and locked up Min Qing; then they proceeded to do the same with Min Rou as they all left the entire building and waited on the repaired training area looking at the apartment and waiting to repel whatever it was that might come out of the building…
Boom!
Another portal appeared in front of a small mountain that had a man sized entrance beneath it…
The heat here was blistering and even Little Ming was already having all the runes and scales on her body brightly lit up, covering her in a brilliant azure green glow… Min Hong couldn't even speak another word as he was already transforming…
His ears were getting pointed, his fingernails were extending into a hybrid of talons and claws, he was already growing taller, his bleeding was increasing, and his teeth were becoming maws and fangs…
He shut his eyes and snapped them open and instantly they turned pure white as he saw the trail of heat moving deeper into the mountain…
Min Hong's wings flapped out as he bolted into the depths of the mountain with a massive sonic boom…
Meanwhile…
On the outside, the moon in the sky was already at its highest point and was currently bright blue, and several bloodcurdling screams could be heard from the smallest of huts to the most luxurious of castles and mansions…
Even the entire forests and jungles were in total chaos, as several darkness inclined beasts also began to go berserk…
The she-wolves within the den were no exception as they began to thrash around the den with blood red eyes and salivating maws…
Min Hong reached a certain junction where the path had split into two different tunnels, and both of these paths were giving the same trail with the same level of heat and effects…
Min Hong understood that this place might as well be a maze and if he chose the wrong route, then he might as well just not stress himself, and just as he was about to make a gamble, a multicolored pillar of light shot straight into the mountain, and whooshed past Min Hong at blinding speed, Min Hong who felt a familiar sensation from the pillar of light bolted towards it without thinking twice…
Min Hong followed the pillar of light for about ten solid minutes and from the heavy pressure and change in atmosphere he could feel here, Min Hong understood that they would at least be ten miles deep into the earth at this point…
Finally, they reached a massive open area, and Min Hong saw another wonder of the world…
There in front of him were numerous black colored skeletons which seemed to have been roasted black and dry by the heat from the invisible flames…
Then looking a bit upwards, he saw a sarcophagus which was elevated like some altar, potentially signifying that the person buried within must have been a highly respected and powerful being…
Min Hong approached the sarcophagus as his clothes burst into flames causing Min Hong to put off the Blackstar skin and approach the sarcophagus butt naked…
Min Hong then began to climb the stairs as his body began to smoke and scorch…
Min Hong then activated his physical body cultivation, but still it wasn't enough, he erupted with his full 2 Star Saint stage battle power as all his Daos rolled out in full throttle, and for the first time in his life, Min Hong felt his Oblivion and Chaos Dao actually got suppressed by the blistering heat from this flames and Min Hong's skin began to sear open and reveal the boiling and evaporating blood within;
'So this is the difference between a Law Level and an Essence Level Dao…'
Min Hong took a mental note as he began to feel the pain the scorching heat was causing…
Min Hong then stopped holding back his knocking bloodline, allowing the aura alone to burst forth;
Boom!
The moment his bloodline aura was released, the scorching heat was instantly pushed back!
