The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 387: The Book Of Unity

'So this is the difference between a Law and an Essence Level Dao…'

Min Hong took a mental note as he began to feel the pain the scorching heat was causing…

Min Hong then stopped holding back his knocking bloodline, allowing the aura alone to burst forth;

Boom!

The moment his bloodline aura was released, the scorching heat was instantly pushed back!

Min Hong reached the sarcophagus and saw some scribblings on the body;

'Are these incantations?'

He then touched it and instantly he was overwhelmed;

'Standing next to this sarcophagus seems like standing on the waves of the very flames that were used to create this plane of existence…'

'This…'

'Some insanely powerful expert must have placed a restriction formation on this sarcophagus, and that must be the reason why all these scorched bones weren't anywhere near the platform…'

'But why is it not effective against me?'

Min Hong continued to think as he studied the sarcophagus…

Since he had released all the erupting bloodline aura within him to fight the effects of the searing flames, Min Hong's transformation had ceased, as well as the bleeding, but he was still having his head-splitting migraines…

'The sarcophagus is completely sealed, and I have never seen these level of unique runes and inscriptions before…'

'It is still emitting soul force… Just what powerful expert left these behind?'

Swish!

'Eh!?'

'Something within my Mind Palace seems to have sensed something…'

'My soul force is activating on its own!'

'What in Huoyi's curly beard is this sarcophagus?' Min Hong then touched it;

Boom!

"Aaarghh!"

A massive pillar of invisible heat burst out with Min Hong right at its center…

Tiiissshhh!

Huge plumes of steams began to billow out of Min Hong;

'So thirsty!'

'Every fluid in my body seems to be evaporating through my pores!'

Hiss!

Min Hong began to perspire streams of hot sweat as he felt the splitting headache intensify…

'Damn it, my Mind Palace is being attacked!' 'I must hold on and be focused if I am to survive this…'

Min Hong thought as he aggressively tried to expand his Mind Palace with the insane amount of soul force that was searing through his Mind Palace…

He sent huge waves after waves from his sea of consciousness towards the location where this searing soul force was wreaking havoc; like a huge wave of tsunami from the shore flushing towards a massive wildfire…

"Hraaahh!"

Min Hong roared as his brains felt like it was ablaze, and then all of a sudden, a suction force erupted from an unknown location within his Mind Palace, and began to guzzle up this immense amounts of soul flames…

'It's my flame nascent soul… it is absorbing all these soul flames….'

'What the heck is this?'

'I can feel my heart, soul and mental powers surging!'

'So, you want to feed on it, right?'

'Then feed you shall!'

Boom!

Min Hong let go of himself and allowed all the searing flames from the sarcophagus to enter into him…

"Argghh!"

Min Hong shut his eyes and bellowed in agony as the suction force coming from his flame nascent soul began to guzzle up the soul flames at almost the speed of light…

Then after about ten minutes, everything died down and Min Hong's eyes snapped open;

Roar!

Boom!

Min Hong roared as all three of these cultivation paths received simultaneous breakthroughs…

His body received the highest form of purification by these soul flames…

This was the tribulation an expert faces when they are about to breakthrough into the spirit realm, and the level or strength of the soul flames one used when entering the spirit realm determines how strong the expert would be as well as their Daos…

But in the case of Min Hong, not only had he just received the strongest flame in existence, he was about to merge them together to form an even stronger, strongest flame in existence, and that was not all…

The fact that the flames he had just absorbed was an Essence Level Flame, meant that the Flame Dao Min Hong would be able to control would be Essence level and that is asides it being the strongest unrivalled flame in existence…

Furthermore, the soul flames seemed to have suppressed the effect of Min Hong's violent and berserk bloodline...

Min Hong fetched out a bag of water and began to guzzle them all, and he only stopped drinking after he had finished three sacs of water…

"Haaah!"

Min Hong exhaled sharply as his body felt refreshed from being hydrated once again…

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

The sarcophagus began to slide open as the sound of two heavy concrete grazing each other reached the outside where Little Ming was busy cultivating…

Little Ming opened her eyes and since the heat gushing out of the cave seemed to have become bearable to her for some reasons, she entered and descended into the depths of the mountain, using Min Hong's tracks, scent and soul connection to sense his location;

'Unh?'

'Empty?'

At first glance, the sarcophagus was empty causing Min Hong to feel gob-smacked…

"Where is the body?" Min Hong muttered to himself;

"There's nothing here-"

Min Hong had just completed his sentence when the sight of two objects caught his eye within this sarcophagus…

It was a book and a very ordinary looking amulet, but after everything he had gone through, Min Hong knew that this amulet was anything but ordinary; he wouldn't even believe it if he was tortured for ten lifetimes…

Min Hong picked up the book and on it was a sentence with ancient characters written on it;

'The Book of Unity!..'

Min Hong was taken aback by the name, and wasn't sure of whatever the book might be about;

"Daisy!"

Chu-Lom!

"This book is one of legendary origins, abilities and knowledge…"

"Any further information about this book will cost host ¢10 Million each…"

"What!?" Min Hong was stunned;

"What do you mean by that?"

He frowned in displeasure; was this system messing with him or was it just trying to swindle him?

"Like I have previously stated; information about this book is of legendary origins, but in the view of honesty and camaraderie, I can only tell host that this book will cause an immense all-out war between ancient powers who have Celestial level experts…"

Daisy finished and went into silent mode, and Min Hong knew the reason she did that was because she wasn't going to give him any more information about it except he paid…

But Min Hong at this point wasn't going to spend ten million cowries on an information he would naturally find out as his cultivation grows closer to the Divine Realm, thus, he opened the book and allowed the pages to flap past his hands with a 'Prrrrr' sound…

But shockingly, only the first page had something written on it, and thus Min Hong began to read it…

Apparently, it was just an introduction into what the book was all about, but from these intro alone, Min Hong's heart nearly broke in half…

Apart from the fact that he couldn't use it at this moment because the book stated that the amount of information he would be able to read would depend on his level of cultivation and spirit sense, and Min Hong had yet to truly birth a spirit sense, because he had not ingrained what he was now calling the 'Rebirth Flame' nascent soul into his Dan…

The second reason Min Hong was frightened beyond belief was because this book explained the origin of its name [or title]; it was called the 'Book Of Unity' because it was a cultivation technique…

But unlike all other cultivation technique that focused on a particular cultivation path [either Body, Qi, Soul, Mind etc.] this technique looked to truly merge all the paths of cultivation an expert as embarked upon into a single unit of apocalyptic power…

Though Min Hong can simultaneously use his cultivation from the Body, Qi, Mind, Soul and Heart when battling, they were all still separate entities…

If one were to simplify it, it would be like being a Sage, but instead of the Dao path, it would be in terms of cultivation paths…

If Min Hong could master this technique; his Body, Qi, Soul, Heart and Mental cultivation would actually fuse together into a new cultivation path, the 'Path To Unity'…

Every single properties of these cultivation paths would also work together, the types of energies they produce would also merge together into one, and produce a new energy that is termed 'Unity Qi or energy'…

If Min Hong could form this new type of energy; whilst others would require Soul energy to power soul type attacks and be unable to use their soul type attacks because their soul energy has depleted [Irrespective if their Qi energy is still full] Min Hong won't have such drawbacks, because his Qi is like a universal Qi that can power anything and everything…

This is a fearsome technique and despite having a total battle power of a 2 Star Saint stage expert at the moment, Min Hong was only able to read the introduction of the book which meant that this was a technique that was far beyond the level of Saint stage experts…

Perhaps, he would have to possess a Nirvana/Samsara level battle power before he would be able to read the first page, but sadly, every good thing must always have a bad side to it; the pages in the book were incomplete, and he would have to search for the rest of the pages…

But as the illicit lover of Lady Luck herself, Min Hong was able to find out that the location of the next pages is always perfectly described in the previous pages!
