A half-hour ago, before the test begins,

Edwin asks Myra that if she is teaching him, maybe she should take Edwin as her disciple. Myra told Edwin that she never thought about that but if he managed to beat a Zar-level opponent. Then Myra would give him a chance to become her disciple. Edwin agreed and teased her, saying that it will be great if he matched up against Myra. Myra took those words as arrogance, and she pities his overconfidence. Right after the conversation, Edwin started taking things seriously. He started practicing Reis, the null barrier.

Myra demonstrates the move/technique to him. Even though it seems easy to pull off, Edwin failed again and again to do it. Myra watched over the training for 10-15 minutes then left. Myra told Edwin that the time has come, and the test is about to begin. At this time, Edwin was overconfident about the Reis. Failing again and again, Edwin started to re-think. Few minutes remains, he headed towards the arena. Casually, he entered and goes into the participant's ȧssembly. There the instructor is giving them instructions. He left the arena as he seizes the opportunity of being matched on the last numbers. He was interested in watching the match and examine the ability of other participants. But he left for his own sake. Back on the training ground, he started again. The announcements are reaching to his ears clearly, as this will help him to get back there. Edwin devoted himself to practice without a break until his match come.

As before, he places tiny incantation energy in the square around himself. As he is using the incantation magic, smoke bombs are the things that Edwin is trying to nullify. According to Myra, if he manages to compress the smoke, it should work against magic. The alchemy magic is the source of smoke bombs. Besides, it would take far lesser stamina to nullify it. Myra passed this instruction to Edwin before leaving. The fight started in the test of Ar. Some matches are over quickly, and some took time.

Too many attempts still have no results. The frustration level and stress of losing are rapidly increasing for Edwin. His energy is getting drained. For a moment, he took a break as he started breathing heavily. Edwin heard the announcement that the 22nd match is over. "Damn it!" He gave the expression. Myra informed him that her experiment is quite successful as he is still conscious after the training. For a moment, Edwin calmed himself down. And told Myra that he was near to exhaustion of stamina. Yet unable to perform Reis successfully. Two years ago, when Myra thought of this move, it took 7-8 months to perfect it. The inspiration for this nullify barrier came from the Mage's divination. That divination can null the elemental magic. Only the powerful Mages could perform with ease.

However, all of this, she didn't tell Edwin at this time. Myra advised him to leave it because Reis would take a lot of patience and a calm mind to practice. Edwin showed appreciation for Myra's help and concern for him. Myra removed the energy mark from Edwin.

Khors is a classmate of Chad. Like Edwin, he is good with various weapons. This matchup was exciting for David. He taught both of them and also wanted to see who is better. Before the fight, they put on a light weapon. Various weapons were there to use. According to the rule, they can choose only once. Khors picked the dual head medieval. As the opponent is quite formidable and must not underestimate, Edwin picked the sword for the fight.. Both were ready to fight.
