112 Forging another boss

John came home after a long night out, Constantine and he met up in their usual bar and both of them could feel that the other felt sad and needed a drink and some good company. They started with a good glass of ice cold Cider but soon all kinds of strong alcohol followed. Constantine even started some drinking game with John where they would play cards with one of the other guests and every time someone had lost a round they had to take a shot of something the other players decided.

At first everyone was nice to each other giving each other only some cocktails with low alcohol but it ended with everyone drinking a shot of 85% Absinthe which made them writhing on the ground in pain. But John and Constantine did not stop after the random guy they met there went home, they played a round of darts that cleared half of the bar because it was more likely that they would hit one of the guests instead of the board but everyone had still fun.

The last thing John could remember that he and Constantine challenged each other to a drink-off, but he didn't know anymore who won but he found two hundred Dollars in his Pocket this morning. Both had a head like and Anvil but somehow didn't mind it, they went home and when John finally reached his flat he fell into the bed and slept for half a day.

John woke up and got himself a glass of cool water to wet his dried out mouth and jumped into his game capsule. He still felt that he missed his friend Ullr but he could respect his decision. John decided that he now could work on the boss his eighth was still missing.

John grabbed some of the leftover roots from the other day and started working on it. He carved muscles and skin out of the wood without taking a skeleton in mind. He also added several decorations by carving out aztec armor into the wood and added several pieces of other decorations out of metal. Next he started working on the head by giving it a face mask adorned with feathers that were also carved out of wood.

Next he grabbed the bucket with the silver, gold Mythril solution he prepared the other day and was happy that every solid piece dissolved into the liquid and strangely took on a blood red color. John put the bucket near the wooden parts that formed a three meter tall aztec warrior with four arms. The Last thing John did to complete his Boss was letting a fistsized Mana Crystal fall into the solution observing it as a humanoid body formed that equipped the wooden skin and flesh like it was an armor.

But before John´s creation put on the head John crafted for it, it started walking over to the workbench grabbing several pieces of leftover wood and started eating it. John watch with astonishment as slowly a skeleton out of wood formed inside the red liquid that was the body of this creature. Only the head was missing and after the Aztec warrior ate enough of the wood, it put its head on and suddenly the wooden skin looked like it started to melt in some places to close up all the cracks forming a uniform skin.

Haa´k, the wooden idol of Destruction

Rank Unique

Race Homunculus

A tall Aztec warrior made out of wood and brought to life by liquid metal that is infused by Mana. His skin was made out of wooded that got strengthened by liquid metal, it is highly resistant to all kinds of damage and if it is damaged it can be repaired by Hook by eating some more of the wood. This magnificent warrior has four arms and is able to fight without weapons but his damage potential would increase manifold if he wielded weapons of appropriate quality.

John was satisfied with his creation, he tried something new by giving an average creation exceptional weapons as his strength instead of incorporating everything into the body. John started with the first weapon, he wanted it to fit to the boss so he started by carving a wooden block with a Carving knife of Sin that he found that had turned Pink.

Slowly material was removed and a handle and a rectangular base was carved out, he added decorations and metal inlays while also adding two slits on the opposite side of each other. Next he grabbed some more mythril and threw it into another alchemical solution he discovered some time ago, the Mythril turned black and hardened reacting like glass after he took it out of the solution.

John took a piece of steel and started snapping away at the mythril breaking of tiny pieces forming a razor sharp edge while forming prismatic pieces out of it. After he had one or two dozen of those blades he glued them into the slits of the wood and finished was the first weapon.

Macuahuitl of Lust

Rank Unique

A wooden club with razor sharp blades attached to it, it rips apart flesh and bones on every hit. It was created with the help of the Sin of Lust so it was bestowed the ability to take away some of the lifeforce of the victims of this weapon and giving it to the wielder on every hit.

John was satisfied but quickly started with the next weapon, He took some of the leftover wood and debarked it only the peel of the tiny skin of wood between the core and the bark. He used another Carving knife of Sin that turned Blue to cut the sheets of fiber he harvested into thin stripes. He pair every Stripe with two other and knotted them together and tied the knotted ends to a metal pole that was hanging horizontally in the room.

After all of the fiber stripes were paired he started braiding them forming tine ropes out of them. Next he paired the tiny ropes with some metal wire in a two to one ratio and once again braided them together. He repeated this step until he only had three ropes left. John played those ropes next to each other and cut off a centerpiece of the middle rope.  John then grabbed some thin metal thread to the loom and made a small piece of fabric. He grabbed the fabric and folded it about an inch in on two sides and sewed it together with some quick stitches. John then took the two longer ropes and threaded them to the pouch he created, he then knotted the smaller two rope pieces together with the ends of the longer rope on each side and started braiding again.

The last thing John did was putting a mix of Wax and liquid metal on the end of the braided rope to seal it and wrapped it in some more metal fabric.

The Boss for the eighth floor was already impressive with this armament but John thought that it wasn't enough, so he started on a third weapon. He grabbed some Silver, Steel ,Mythril alloy but instead of forging it he took out his Carving knife of Greed and started carving material away. He started by carving a crude triangle out of the material and slowly added more details. John found it funny that there were no shavings falling on the ground as the Carving Knife of greed absorbed all the shavings. Soon you could recognize that John was carving an ax head but he decorated it with aztec carvings and metal accents like gold.

After the ax head was finished he looked at it and found it quite menacing as it sharpened hooks on the blade and looked evil and painful. But John still had  to craft he handle so he grabbed some of the wood and got to work. He started by carving away enough material so that the handle fit into the ax head, after that he let his mind roam and carved whatever came to his mind. You even could spot pictures on the handle that were depicting an ancient story that John just made up, but John also added spiraling grooves on the bottom of the handle which he inlaid with golden metal wire.

But John still had to attach the Handle to the Ax head so he quickly took out a saw and sawed a thin slit into the top of the handle after which he put on the ax head and hammered in a tiny piece of wood into the slit he sawed to press the wood of the handle into the metal securing the Ax head to the handle.
