The Queen Wicked Deeds
Chapter 112 - The source of jealousy
"What should we do now, Billie?"
Billie looked back at the girl calling him. From the moment the barrier appeared, they had stopped the battle with those masked group of knights. They were powerful, but still, they were not that strong, at least, not enough to take down Billie.
They stopped fighting when the barrier appeared and seemed to have vanished.
"We can't do anything," Billie said. The treasure was nowhere inside the dome, those in the black masks were only using a decoy and now, a few hours were left for the rising of the sun. "She tricked us from the beginning."
If he had known that the message they received before was only a trap… he would have gone with his original plan. He knew he was right on where the device was hidden, but… 'Crap!' he thought.
"Did she win?" Princess Morgan was standing with her expressionless face and crossed arms. Even if her feelings were not shown, her eyes were filled with hatred and unwillingness. "Did she really win?"
"What can we do about that?" Billie was also angry, but he couldn't do anything.
"Tch…"
Princess Morgan was a great magician, yes, she was, but her powers only were used as a healer. Her skills were not enough to destroy the barrier.
"Can't you call Lily? This must be against the rules…"
"She doesn't answer… the barrier must be blocking the signal…"
She tried again to dial the little demon's number, but it was useless. She could now only pray that Lily was looking for her and not somewhere eating snacks and watching that strange crystal ball with addictive eyes.
"What about John?"
"He is up there with the princess," Billie sighed. "He must be dealing with her cuningness…"
He didn't want to be in his boyfriend's shoes, even if he loved him. However, just thinking about confronting that silly princess was like a big headache coming to his head. It was good that John had lost the rock-paper scissors.
"Can't he just kill her?"
"Are you serious?"
She shrugged her shoulders, "Why not?"
Princess Morgan was never a soft and kind person. The many torments she had lived and the many schemes she survived had given her a great deal of a nasty personality.
She was cruel and without remorse to make innocent people suffer. For her, it was useless to be in a game where she had to be merciful. Even that silly Princess won't do it, she believed.
Billie and John knew about her ruthless personality, but they didn't have a choice but to stay with her. They must work together because she had Lily on her side, almost eating from her palm.
They didn't know the deal she had with the tiny demon, but they heard that it was similar to the one of Princess Anne. To become some Evil Queen and a revenge thing.
"What? Are you scared of killing your friend?
Her words sounded taunting, but Billie didn't care. He was already used to her mocking and sadistic phrases and behaviors.
"That won't work," Billie said without sparing a glance at the psycho by his side, "she has many allies and if we manage to harm her in any form, they all will try to do something to us out of revenge."
"Are you talking about you too?"
"…" he didn't need to say a word as his answer was clear.
He was aware of the long list of friends of the Princess. In fact, he could even consider himself as one. Sigh… if not for the tiring contest, he would already finish his mission and fulfill his revenge.
"How useless," the girl said while yawning.
She moved to rest on one bench of the beautiful garden down the light of the moon. The battle from before was really exhausting, though, she didn't need to do much, Billie was the one fighting those masked men. Her help only reached to give him power and healing his wounds and fatigue, so he could fight for a long time.
"I am tired," she said as she closed her eyes and tried to sleep. "Wake me up when the effect of the barrier had died down."
"No…" Billie said and walked to another place. "I am not your servant, Princess Morgan."
Morgan looked at him and smirked. "You don't have a choice, do you?"
"About what?"
"About following me…"
"Heh… I am not following you, little arrogant girl, Lily is the one I am following, you are not as worthy as Anne. Not even close."
He didn't stop to look at her brows furrowing and her eyes narrowing in anger. He knew what she hated to hear the most. To be compared with that silly princess was something she abhorred.
"Shut up!" her shout didn't reach Billie's ears as he had already gone away.
"How dare he?" she didn't know what made that Princess so outstanding. So loved and worthy of admiration. She was only a spoiled girl with luck, nothing but that.
She was no genius magician and couldn't fight well. Her only achievements were on her powerful friends and Assistant Vin. She did nothing to deserve such great admiration…
Morgan knew that she was being jealous. So jealous, she had been like that for many years from the time she first saw the fluffy Princess in her pink dress walking around the garden with her fiancé Henry.
At that time, she was being neglected by his own parents and was treated like trash. The only thing she wanted was a bit of attention, a caring family, and friends.
On the other hand, that silly little princess gained more and more popularity, she was even considered the bringer of happiness as she was the one that inspired the Great Wizard Druon to create the cure.
Now, the many followers that tried to gain that Princess favor were circling the world. How did that Princess do that when Morgan was suffering locked inside the Academy?
Morgan stayed on the bench and looked at her hands. They were marked with many tattoos, the same as her arms and many parts of her body. She had to do that to protect herself from incantations of her enemies. From the many men that wanted to kidnap her for her skills.
Only when Lily appeared in her life, then she stopped fearing. She gained a purpose.

Billie walked around the gardens to find a solitary tree to rest. However, what he found was… a tea party?
"What is going on?"
He looked at the ones that were battling him a few minutes ago now enjoying tea and pastries. They were even chatting gleefully.
"Oh… our dear enemy," one of the boys with a hoodie said while raising his cup in greeting. "Come join us, we have plenty."
"Where did all of this came from?"
"Princess Anne provided us with this before the barrier was taken place."
Moira and James were also at the table, enjoying their chat with Collin. He seemed to be a little different from what they were used to.
Without the eyes of the knights following him, he had a gentle personality. Even a little too cute.
Billie didn't know what to do, but then, he just decided to enjoy the festivities, after all, it was the spring dance still.
On the other hand, Anne was having a serious argument with the blonde with long hair in front of her.
"This…" John was stunned again. "How dare you?"
"…" Anne looked at him but didn't budge. She was also raising a brow.
"You are…" John was never someone to lose his patience with easy, but that girl had made him do that twice that day, and he could bet that there were more.
"What?"
"A sore loser!"
"You shut up!"
Anne was never someone to fail, so… the many pieces of chess were not because of her losing the game. Not at all.
She just felt that the game was not advanced enough.
"Do you dare play again?" she raised a brow while taking a cookie from her secret stash.
"No… not with a sore loser."
"You… how dare you?!"
She then took another cookie and put it on the table, "If you play, I will give you this."
"…" John wanted to throw the table to one side and scream, but he didn't have the courage to lose his image as a gentleman.

[Beth…
"How is she?"
The voice in the Mr. Bodyguard phone didn't reach Beth's ears, but she knew that the one on the other side was the mastermind of her suffering. She wanted to pry for more information, but the Bodyguard didn't let her.
"I will take her with me."
She heard and waited for the man to open the door.
"What do you want to do to her?"
Mr. Bodyguard looked at the girl and sighed.
