The Queen Wicked Deeds

Chapter 125 - Answer

The two kids were enjoying their little bubble. Henry never knew that Beth could be that dangerously cute, and he was worried about her.

It would be a disaster if she knows how much power she has in those cute eyes. The world would make her their Queen without hesitation. He somehow had the feeling to protect the innocent from being lured into the madness of idolatry for the redhead before him.

"Henry," the voice of a cute blonde shattered his bubble. She was Reina and behind her were already ten girls in white dresses. "We were going to see the show, do you want to come with us? Beth, do you want to come too?"

Beth was still in awe and immersed in the soft and delicious taste of the fruit tart. How can something like that exist in the world, and she didn't know about it?

She shook her head. Right now, she was so comfortable going to a show she didn't want to see.

Her hand was already holding another plate with another small fruit tart on it. However, the fork was in Henry's hand, and she couldn't use her other hand because it was held hostage. She frowned.

"Should I eat it like this?" she moved her mouth to the tart, but she was suddenly stopped.

"We will go later," Henry said and smiled at Beth that was pouting from the denial of her treasure. "After we finish eating."

"Oh… the food here is delicious, Beth, I guess it is the first time you had eaten this?"

Beth didn't deny it. That was the first time she tasted that succulent fruit tart. "It is delicious."

Her eyes suddenly blinked and smiled. Reina was again stunned. 'This is dangerous… my heart is… beating so fast…'

The other girls were the same, it was as if someone had put a doll in front of them, the most precious doll. Some of them smiled and surrounded Beth, the slower ones had to wait their chance in the back to talk to her.

"Stop it!"

Henry's angry voice startled the little girls. He couldn't believe it, just a smile, and they were all hypnotized by Beth.

"Let's go," he pulled Beth with him. However, her eyes were screaming grievance from denying her delicacy. "I will give you more later."

"There you are, my boy," Grandpa Mills appeared on the other side to take his seat. "Oh my! Beth, you look so beautiful in that gown."

He smiled and laughed, seeing her blush and lower her head. That cute shyness made him think that she was perfect for Henry. He couldn't wait for the two of them to grow up and marry each other.

She was an outstanding lady, a genius. Even if her background was a mystery, she was more a part of the Mills family than any other.

The show started with dance and music entertainment. Then some magic and comedy, and finally with a tear-jerking speech from Grandpa Mills.

However, Henry had not paid attention to any of that. The beautiful girl by his side was more entertaining. Her laugh and enthusiasm were more impressive than any show.

"Henry," Beth passed her hand in front of his eyes. "Are you okay?"

The little fantasy of her smiling at him suddenly pop out. Though, just then… a strange image came to his memory. It was a little girl in a pink fluffy dress passing her hand, the same as Beth. Who was that? He couldn't see well her face.

"Let's go," he stood up and moved to the dining hall.

From the beginning to the end, he didn't let go of Beth's hand. Only when they were eating, she was released for a while, but she had to seat beside him.

"Henry, I should go now," Beth blushed when the young boy with emerald eyes was still walking with her in the garden on the road to her house. It was not that far from the main mansion, but he insisted. "Can you let go now?"

"Beth," Henry said, watching her eyes. "I…" he didn't know how to start the conversation.

He had rehearsed in his mind many times.

'I am sorry, it wasn't my intention to make you feel bad, can you forgive me?'

'Please, come back to me like that time, I didn't mean to hurt you, can you smile at me like before?'

Those were the words he wanted to convey to her, but he couldn't. He will feel a strange anxiousness every time he saw her.

"Young Master, I should go," she leaned her head to one side as he didn't finish his words. "Can you let go?"

"No," he said with a little whisper. "I…"

"Henry!" Frank came running towards him, "Cedric and I are going to the… oh, Beth, how are you? Do you want to come tomorrow to the new VR center?"

Beth smiled and nodded her head. She was interested in all that new technology from before. Many times, she tried to sneak inside the Mills main laboratories, but she was caught by Jano every time.

"Yes, I would love…" too.

"She can't!"

Henry pushed her to the back. "Leave," he said to her, "that is your home, don't get out again."

"Henry, but…" Frank wanted to intervene as he watched the little girl's sad face.

He didn't understand his friend, one moment he was giving her his whole attention and treating her like a treasure, the other, he was rude and angry.

"What are you doing? Why did you say that to her?"

"None of your business," Henry walked back, "Don't get close to her!"

The few next days, Beth had a conflict with her parents again. They were pressuring her into signing the papers for the school of geniuses. That way her life would be stable, and she will get to study with people of her level of intellect.

However, she didn't want to. The feeling of being trapped in a well-designed cage lurked in her head. Even more, she couldn't go out that much with her friends now that the holidays had started.

"I won't sign them!"

She shouted before running away from the house. Her parents didn't want to force her, they wanted her to make her own decision, even though, as her parents, they could sign the papers on their own.

"What should we do, darling?" Aunty Smith was pacing around the living room. "She…"

"If she doesn't want to go, we can't do anything," Uncle Smith was watching his beloved wife growing nervous.

He knew that she was worried about that little girl that brought a shine to their lives. However, he knew that the same girl was smart and sly. Even without any famous school, she will soar into the skies on her own.

There was no need for her to enter a lifetime deal, and Aunty Smith knew it too. But she was afraid. The young master Mills' obsession with the little girl was growing much more and into an insane level. She was worried that he will force her to be by his side even if he had to cut her wings. So, it was for the best, to make her sign and later deal with the master when he had calmed down.

The minutes passed, then hours, but Beth hadn't returned to their home. Not a call was made, not a message.

"Where is she?" Aunty Smith called Beth's phone for a few more minutes. "She doesn't answer…"

Uncle Smith was also worried, he decided to look into the GPS that was installed in Beth's bracelet. It was a gift he had given her when she was little, as she tended to lose her sense of direction. Sometimes she passed the entire day trying to find her way out from the man-sized labyrinth in the back of the mansion.

If not for Master Henry that had watched her from afar, she would be lost.

"She is in the center's mall," he said and stood up with the car keys in his hands, "let's go, they are about to close."

They went out in the night, the clouds were starting to turn gray, and the thunders were making an announcement that the rain will be disastrous.

The old man Uncle Smith was worried that the rain will find Beth, so he hit the pedal to go faster towards her.

Beth watched the sky, the clouds already had started to pour their little drops of rain. "This can't be any worse."

She sighed and turned to see her phone. The many calls she had received from home were ignored, and she felt guilty.

"I should return," she said, and walked to the bus station. However, suddenly many lightning started to crash into the ground and the crowd in the streets shouted in fear. They took refugee in the mall, the same as her.

"What is going on?" she looked at the sky for an answer.
