The Queen Wicked Deeds
Chapter 34 - Golden Fish
"Rose, darling don't be afraid, it won't hurt, I promise."
"But… this."
"Don't you trust me?"
"I do, but…" the beautiful Rose was now debating into giving her precious first moment to an incredible person. "But… Princess Anne, isn't Henry going to get mad at you?"
"Why would he?"
"Because, he is looking at you now, over there."
The gardens of the Academy were beautiful, full of flowers of different kinds that adorned the paths to give the students the most of the comforts after a full day of school, of learning, and studying. Though they were used as another kind of diversion, or what Anne liked to call them, a time to enjoy the glorious creations of chef Hugo, and, of course, to promote the Druon's rainbow fruit tart, a novelty in the world.
"Don't worry, my beauty, he is only a bit concerned," Anne didn't want to see reality with her own eyes. The moment she called Rose to her own table, the garden was filled with students trying to get some breath of fresh air from their illustrious learning paths. However, somehow, also the artistic fellows of the painting classes were having the time of their lives with all the commissions of Anne and Rose portraits. Not that Anne had some share over those pictures of her.
Though, Henry was having also the punishment he deserved, according to Anne. The count of the number of love letters he received had gone to the thousands, more than hers. That can't go unpunished.
"Princess, it hurts!"
"It's okay, my beauty, you can cry if you want, I will cover your tears."
"Princess…" the teary eyes of Rose were almost a punch to anyone's hearts, but the mischievous eyes of Anne can bring down any innocent soul. "Auch…"
"It is done, my dear Rose, how do you feel now? Does it hurt?"
"No… it doesn't hurt…"
"Do you like it?"
"Yes… it's beautiful…"
Anne smiled and patted the soft golden hair of Rose, "Glad that you like it, my dear."
"Your… Your Highness… I want to… also."
"Oh dear Devon, you want too?"
"Yes," the soft girl with brownish hair made a slight bow, but she was not the only one. About fifteen other little girls were in line waiting for their turn.
"Okay, then let's begin."
Anne was already preparing her instruments to subdue the hearts of so many girls when an alarming storm started. The sky was covered in dark clouds and the thunders and lightning were flashing around. It was a terrifying view but more than anything the green eyes of a jealous man on the side.
"I think it is time for every one of you to go back inside, right?"
The soft and gentle voice of Henry was like a creepy feeling growing in their hearts. Who didn't know that he was the fiancé of the most outstanding Princess of Lith? Who didn't know that he was not an ordinary teenager?
"Henry?"
"Anne," he is mad.
"Why are you doing?"
"Nothing, I am a concerned student," he said taking her hands and lowering his lips to her palms.
"Sigh…" Anne could only roll her eyes at the brazen actions of her dear bride, "What should I do with you?"
"Everything you want," Henry answered and leaned to her face, waiting for her to make her move.
However, before his dear fiancée sealed her lips on his cheek, a furious storm from the castle arrived at their garden.
"Anne!" Ilian, the young Crown Prince was panting and looking overly stressed. "Where… where is she, Anne?"
"Don't worry, bro, she is fine… look."
"Your… Your Highness!"
Rose made a slight bow and looked up with her big bright blue eyes and lifting a strand of her short golden hair behind her ear. Time seemed to stop at that very moment. Roses of every color seemed to surround the face of the young little girl, and nothing else could enter the mind of the young prince, not even a slight smart thought, not even his voice.
"Ro… Rose… I… I…" his face became the representation of every tomato in the world. Such achievement could pass into the records of history. "This… you…"
"Your Highness?"
Rose approached him, but it seemed that the fool prince was getting more and more agitated.
"Are you alright?"
The shy little girl didn't understand that the heart of the young man was fighting a war with his impulses. Now only a single punch to his back was needed to create an everlasting memory with the lips of her face.
"I bet ten golden coins that he will run," Anne was watching in amusement the cute show in front.
"Ten that he will faint," Henry was also watching but only because she was interested.
"Deal," Anne was waiting. She had already three wins and four losses. This time it has to be her win, or she will beat that brother of hers.
The awaiting of the bet didn't last when the face of the cute Rose let go of a painful scream.
"What is happening?!"
Ilian supported her before she fainted, but Anne was already by her side.
"That damn Collin!"
"What did he do this time?!"
"Enchantment, a damn pain enchantment," Anne had put a healing circle tattoo on her dear Rose to protect her from the enchantment. That golden fish, as she liked to call the youngster Collin du Eylos, enrolled in the medic class, the same as Rose. However, somehow he entered into a strange infatuation for the beautiful golden-haired Rose, and she, of course, declined his approaches.
"It is working," Anne felt how the healing circle collapsed the enchantment and another scream came from behind some bushes.
"Heh… fried golden fish," Anne looked at her bride, "thank you, darling."
"But… this."
