The Queen Wicked Deeds
Chapter 35 - The Queen's Wicked Deeds
[Lead a revolution.]
That was the first mission Mellie gave Anne, well not the very first, but the first middle-level mission.
On the day of their departure, Anne and her friends were still traveling inside the carriage towards the Academy, while Mellie was enjoying the movement on the top of the car.
He liked to see the sun coming through the tall trees, to smell the freshness of the crushed leaves. The flowers, the bushes, the little animals on the bushes, the ones that wanted to attack them, the bandits with good hearts that wanted to steal from the rich to give it to the poor people, also the bandits with bad hearts that will be Mellie's dinner when they die. He liked it all.
He had wanted to leave the country for a while to increase the possibilities of winning and to refine the scheming evil plots.
'Great!' Mellie wanted to dance, but his fluffy, cute but short legs didn't let him. However, what he could do was… cloud the sun and no more sun rays through the tall trees, mist the forest and no more fresh air, scare the ones hiding and no more good bandits and for the evil ones. Well, hehe… now he didn't have time to play with their souls, but Callum will manage them.
Now, the evil Mellie was even making strange lightnings surround the carriage, indicating that his most promising soul will begin the middle-level missions.
She had already cleared without fail the little missions from the past nine years.
Nine years! No more steal things requests. No more simple pushes to the right side to lead people to their devastation. No more simple stuff a child could easily do. This time the big leagues are open to them.
'No more dilly-dally morons!' Mellie signaled to the sky, 'this is the real deal now! Muahahaha!'
It would be extraordinary to have back his deep husky voice and his normal size, but this time he had to do with this black fluffy body. At least it was easy to hide and travel, and he had a first-class transport, a dog called Gandalf.
Mellie could not understand how was that possible, not many beings of this world could see him, but Gandalf was the first to notice his presence. Though, he somehow confused him for a burned marshmallow and then tried to eat him.
The inside of the castle was in a state of panic when they saw the usually calm dog ran around as if chasing down something.
Even Shadow was following him in amusement. If not for Mellie's extremely useful power to create cookies, then he would already have been the dinner of that mighty dog.
The fluffy demon sat again on the roof with a feeling of delight. 'This will be amazing.' He thought.
His eyes smiled and from a puff, a book appeared in his hand. The name on the book was written in golden letters and the cover was pure black. 'The Queen's Wicked Deeds,' it said.
From the first page,

Once upon a time, in a world, centuries ahead advanced, not only the people used electricity and energy extracted from the ground, but they didn't have magic, they had forgotten the use of magic. What a shame, as it would make everything easier but at the same time, nothing good could come when they already have so much power and no one to tell them when to stop.
Anyway, in this world existed a Princess… correction, in this world existed a woman that had the nickname of 'princess', the princess only to her dear Grandpa. The great traveler of worlds. However, she will never know that.
She was at the top of the world, she got everything she wanted. Wealth, fame, a good reputation, and a long line of suitors ready to kneel down to her. She was not a Princess but a Queen, a fabulous Queen. However…

The first page had the picture of a woman with long red hair and an amazingly cute little face. The red lipstick on her lips and the long red dress fitted her body perfectly, she was surrounded by many cameras and reporters waiting to capture her smile and her voice. Just a second of her in front of the camera will be a million comments and views.

At the same time, the soul of her grandpa was lost, not even Mellie could find it, and, of course, the ones up there in the sky didn't even have a clue.
Mellie knew the truth behind the betrayal, he knew it but couldn't say anything. It was not his turn to enter the scene.
"Who are you?" Anne asked in the darkness. She had just died, and her soul was wandering around when a strange force stopped her from moving on.
"Mellie…" the voice wasn't loud, it was almost a whisper. "Mellie…"
"Mellie? Is that a woman's name? Are you a woman?"
"No," people confused him a lot, but he didn't care.
"Then can you show me proof, why don't you appear before me?" Anne insisted.
"I am no human," Mellie said again trying to surprise the little soul.
"Please, don't be afraid, I won't judge you if you like to crossdress," Anne knew the voice was from a male but the name... was a female, right? "I understand that you are Mellie."
"I am not a woman, nor a man, nor even a human!"
"Oh come on, don't be mad, in fact, I can't even consider myself a human now. But I think I am a female spirit. Can there be transgender spirits too?"
"Stop it!"
The whisper turned into a shout and the thunders and bolts of lightning illuminated the empty space.
"Sigh… what is going on with the weather? Right, Mellie, please don't be afraid," Anne continued without caring and Mellie knew she was the one. The only shameless enough to not be scared, not even during death.
****
The carriage came to a stop and Mellie's book almost fall to the ground. If not for the mighty leg of some elegant dog, his research and compilation of a great story would have been lost.
"Thank you," Mellie tried to smile, but only his eyes narrowed, forming smiling moons in a black canvas.
If Gandalf were to have a voice, he will certainly laugh, and the shaking Shadow will accompany him too.

"Do you wish for revenge?" Mellie asked, already knowing the answer. "Do you wish to get back at those who left you to die?"
Mellie was already preparing the contract in the back. He had been typing in his little but enormously evil typewriter, only the last touches were left. His name and her name, his signature and her signature. His address and her soon-to-be address.
The conditions were well described in several layers of legal terms that can be more than evil than the worst and most powerful demon out there. 'Damn lawyers,' Mellie thought.
Then the tiny voice of the young soul below stopped from typing the last letter.
"No, I don't wish for any kind of revenge," Anne answered.
She was angry, how can't she not? However, before she entered this lane of life, this strange black background, she saw her life and was satisfied.
A successful career, check. She was a famous CEO, admired, respected, and feared by many.
A beautiful body and face, check. She didn't need to rely on her face and body to achieve what she wanted, but she took care of her health like a temple. Also, she loved to fit those amazing dresses.
However, she knew something was happening. A memory. A distant memory.
Mellie smiled when he saw how strange the soul of that woman was behaving. She remembered her life and didn't care to look for any revenge or to satisfy a stupid regret. She decided to move on. However, that was not going according to Mellie's plans.
There was a bit of a lack of motivation in this shameless girl. So he had to create an opportunity, a push. That was the role of the little demon, after all, that was his specialty. The Last Push.

Mellie turned the page, and the picture of the woman appeared again. Though she was not alone this time. Nor any camera or reporters were surrounding her. She was even wearing a soft white dress and a coat. The starry sky was behind her and the bright moon was illuminating the sky.
Then as if the picture was moving inside a black car parked near Anne.
****
The image inside the book was the memory Mellie was looking for. Anne recognized the car immediately. It was the one… the one she once gave her heart to… the tall man with black short hair, those amazing dimples, and the green emerald eyes she so wanted to steal.
"Henry!" she shouted, "my darling!"
